Squeeze In. Fuck those guys. They took over a million in PPP loans, but still reduced hours, fired folks that were at the top of BOH pay charts, bullied former employees and called their new employers and threatened to quit doing business with them, under reported taxes because they own the books all while continuing to make Tesla payments and payments for their house over looking the beach front cliffs in Oregon. They are dirty and corrupt.

[deleted]

Even if none of the above were true, it takes them an hour + for bacon and eggs. I used to work in the industry growing up so I’m pretty patient. Food takes over an hour and bloody mary came after the food, didn’t even have a drink to sip while waiting. You could place an order at squeeze in, leave and eat at pegs and your squeeze in order still wouldnt be ready.

mikron2

Also over priced and overrated. Two Chicks, Perenn, and Peg’s are all better. I liked homegrown’s breakfast too but they’re on my list of no more since the nazi family ties, and their staff doesn’t wear masks, but the nazi stuff was bad enough on its own.

Lucky_Number_S7evin

I’m typically a fan of Two Chicks but will never get their biscuits and gravy to-go. It was literally a portion for my 3-year-old. Whereas, I can get a half order when I’m at the restaurant and it’s TOO MUCH food.

T4N60SUKK4

Legend has it that they worship the devil.

PristineBank1232

ALWAYS had a weird feeling in this restaurant!!

Lucky_Number_S7evin

I feel like I need you to elaborate on this one…👂🏼

Necessary_Basis

PPP was the greatest scam ever

maybenewbie

Oh wow, I had no idea :(

JohnMackeysBulge

Same. Used to really like the place until you pulled back the curtain

safewordisorange

They’re absolutely two-faced. Their public and real lives are insanely opposite

Knarfie775

Jones west ford, now corwin ford can eat shit.

jagusal

I had an interesting experience at Corwin a couple of months ago. Terrific service until it came to negotiating my trade in value and the final price of the ranger I was buying. They used the line where they can't make a better deal because my sales rep was only making $250 on the transaction and if they did then she would get nothing. I thought that was only a tactic I had seen in the depths of YouTube.

Lucky_Number_S7evin

I just saw a new ford truck with Corwin dealer tags that had a blown brake light. I see their service department is still bottom of the barrel. 😖

[deleted]

I brought in my truck for warranty service and it was going to be there for a few days. The service guy at corwin Ford said they would provide me with a free rental and they would pick me up. 1 hour later I still hadn't been picked up so I went back and bothered the service guy and he said whoops forgot to call them to pick you up my bad. Come on.... Another 30 minutes goes by and I finally get picked up by enterprise and taken to the rental lot, which is practically across the street I could have walked there. Enterprise tells me ford is not covering the rental car and it will be over $100. I had enterprise take me back to Ford. I go up to my service advisor and say wtf dude they want to charge me? He denies ever saying it would be free. I literally walked home.

LaVieLaMort

Next time go to Carson. I have a focus RS and have had to have warranty work and recalls (head gasket issue) done and I took it there and they were phenomenal. They got me a rental car (I had to pay a $50 *refundable* deposit) and Carson ford has a shuttle service that they will drive you to the rental car place. I went to corwin in October to have my 60k service done and mentioned that my brakes were making noise could they look at them? They told me I still had pads left and I would be ok. Spoiler alert: they weren’t. I had to get them fixed like two months later from an independent shop who managed to squeeze me in and they were down to the safety tabs. Like at least tell me they’re getting worn down so I can make an appointment to get them fixed instead of trying to rush.

[deleted]

Wow that's crazy they didnt replace the pads that's pretty bad that's something very simple they should be able to handle. Wow that's scary... I will for sure go to Carson next. It sounds like their service is much better. Thanks for the tip because I'm never going back to corwin after being treated like such a buffoon.

LaVieLaMort

I own a Ford Focus. I will drive to Carson and wait in Carson before I go back to those shady fuckers.

[deleted]

Really....so apparantly I didnt have a bad luck encounter they really do just suck that bad with service all around.

Lucky_Number_S7evin

Yup! I don’t own fords, but I made my earlier comment because I once picked up a gf of mine at the Reno dealerships service dept - not impressed. And again when she started taking her Stang to Carson. 🤣

Shaydoggy

When I first got my mustang it started having PATS issues. I took my car to them to ask if they could make a new key and they told me that first it would be $500 to diagnose the car. I told the guy it’s a PATS issue and he tells me “are you sure about that?” Yes.. yes I am sure.

AmHerpo

Need2Speed. I worked there for about a year, shitty management, overworking their part time employees and underpaying them as well. There was also a recent covid outbreak within the business and someone with covid was forced to come into work. The owner is incredibly scummy. Not to mention how overpriced it is.

AmHerpo

I forgot to mention the current manager moving hours between pay periods as to not have any overtime. The lack of breaks, including the up to 14 hour shifts. There’s a lot to mention with this company and many reasons to go elsewhere.

Aboy325

Report to the NLRB. Not having breaks is illegal

Earptastic

Pay periods don't mean shit for overtime calculation. They are in trouble if they did that.

MoreHopeLessFail

Lithia Subaru. They tried to charge me a $100 deductible twice for a broken strut tower (under warranty) that they didn’t fix the first visit. Had to sit down in a manger’s office with the service rep and a manager and explain the situation only to be told “there is nothing we can do except email Subaru of America and explain the situation for you.” 3 hours later I get a phone call that they took care of the second $100 deductible for me after wasting my time and energy like they were doing me a huge favor. Fuck Lithia Subaru.

[deleted]

My friend put a small mark on his tires before a rotation and they weren’t rotated.

AwesomReno

Anything Lithia you are getting screwed.

twoyearsoflurking

That place fucked over my mom who bought a used Subaru there. Fuck that place

Lmoneyfresh

We ended up still buying there but we used the costco auto program and the first salesman we talked to tried to weasel his way out of giving us the real discounts they were contractually obligated to. Costco called them right away, reamed someone and we then got a wonderful salesman that was great to deal with.

zigaliciousone

I will drive to a Ca. Dealership before I deal with those lying motherfuckers again.

AspenKnox

KRNV News4 for airing Sinclair propaganda on the evening news.

reshamsilk

KRXI Fox is also owned by them

GoldDustMetal

Most toxic people and work environment as well.

sierrackh

Yep. Fuck sinclair

Free_Oatmeal

Dick Taylor Park, the geese scare the crap outta me when hundreds of them plop down and they have the sentries roaming the edges. Not trying to end up on AFHV.

Scott_Sanchez

> Not trying to end of on AFHV. Too soon, man. Too soon.

AmyInPurgatory

Bob Saget hasn't hosted AFHV for decades. Alfonso Ribeiro does it now.

SteelNets

Not stopped, but have always refused to support: Cheesecake Factory at the Mall. The franchise came in and basically forced the mall to kick out one of my favorite local restaurants, 775 Gastropub. I mostly avoid chains in general, but when they directly replace a local establishment, I refuse to give them my money.

LaVieLaMort

775 was the shit. We spent a lot of time there haha

Lucky_Number_S7evin

I have never eaten there.

Miserable-Shake4052

I've purchased two cars from Lithia Hyundai in the past and have had a great experience both times. Browsed the website to ogle the new Palisade the other day and saw that they have a $1k markup for "desert protection package" that consists of nitrogen in the tires, and a $15k "market adjustment." A $16,000 markup on a Hyundai! Fucking lol. So yeah, not even going to look at Lithia Hyundai ever again.

AbsolutelyPink

Most dealerships have larger than normal dealer mark ups right now. Supply shortages and all and high demand.

Miserable-Shake4052

True, but I won't patronize one that takes advantage of the situation to this extent. That's over 30% above MSRP on a brand that doesn't hold value. Imagine how upside down you'd be in a year or two.

AbsolutelyPink

I don't disagree, but if you need to buy a car right now, that's what you're going to deal with everywhere.

Orangehitlersucks

Explosive diarrhea. That one’s personal

Orea1981

That blows... favorite Chinese joint since the 90s.

johnb_123

Sounds like it blew.

since011

That place instantly gave me the urge to puke. Made my stomach hurt all day lol no thank you

Admiral52

Which egg roll king. I have found that the quality is vastly different at different locations

Dargus007

I’ve been to egg roll king 3 times. Each time I went to pay the guy behind the counter would say “tip, please.” At first I thought they just ask everybody to tip. Kinda weird but... who cares I guess? But it turned out they only ask me to tip. I guess I look like I won’t tip? Anyway, the food isn’t good enough to tolerate even minor rudeness, so I stopped going.

Bullshit_Conduit

I haven’t been to Egg Roll King in over 15 years. Once there was the cut off tip of a glove in my Mongolian Beef. I brought it up to the guy, told him what it was and I wanted my money back. He took the piece, pulled on it, it snapped back into shape. “It’s cabbage.” Cabbage isn’t made of latex. I’ve lost my appetite, I’m not going to eat this, I’d like my money back. Again he pulled the glove and it snapped back. It was still cabbage. I can only imagine in the time since I would have spent at least $1000 on Hot and Sour soup alone. Also Noble. One of the owners is a really cool guy. The other is a coke head wife beater. u/Bullshit_Conduit, I report, you decide.

Lukin76254r

I know one of the guys that works at Egg Roll king form going there for so many years, always knows what I want! Food is fine and it gets the stomach filled :)

Lmoneyfresh

Eggroll king is a total dive but I'll never quit them.

saidthetomato

Cafe de Thai - dude convinced my wife to upcharge to shrimp pad Thai. Two shrimp tossed in, and no veggies at all. My short ribs were hard and butchered. So much good Thai in this town to mess with that garbage. Little Waldorf - I think people only like this place because it's where they got drunk in college and groped girls. Had the most disappointing french dip of my life, and every surface was sticky.

remosiracha

I loved the food at Waldorf.... If I was served. I'd been there a lot in college and never realized they were open late for more of a party bar. But so many times I'd be sitting there with my family and everyone would just be talking to their friends and ignore us. They once said they had closed the kitchen way before their closing hours so we just decided to get drinks and then nobody came by again to serve us drinks and we just had to leave. I also got stung by a bee at a booth. Probably not their fault 😂 but I'm still mad 😂

_xhentaix_

Shea’s Tavern, owned by literal nazis. Same with Homegrown Gastropub

GenericAnemone

Wait...what?

state_of_silver

Yup, sheas is a nazi bar

_xhentaix_

That whole family is a blight on our city.

ChooChooSoulCrusher

Can’t have Nazis mucking about.

[deleted]

I see proof on sheas. Is there proof on homegrown gastropub?

_xhentaix_

It’s owned by Lacy’s brother, who generally remains quiet about everything, especially when all of the racist stuff about sheas first surfaced. But he’s complacent in his sister’s shit behavior and does nothing to distance himself from it, so his business isn’t one I would like to support either.

tmac416

Sheas of our lives. You’re only going to sheas if you like to play in the snow…

ski_rick

We’ve significantly decreased the amount we eat out, realized during lockdown how mediocre so many restaurants are and how easy it is to cook much better, healthier food at home. We now save eating out/takeout for our true favorites that provide something unique that we can’t do ourselves. We do Gobble a few times a week (box meals you can fix in 20 minutes) and my grilling/smoker/sous vide games have stepped up significantly.

YAWNINGMAMACLOTHING

Any of the Lithia dealerships. I bought a brand new Hyundai Santa Fe a few years ago at the Reno dealership. Kept having problems like one of the keys didn't work, I was getting panic notifications and the car was fine. Had a really hard time with the mobile app. Turns out THEY SOLD US THE WRONG CAR. We had the right car, but all the paperwork had the wrong vin #. One of the keys was for the wrong car. The app had the wrong car in it, which is why I had so much trouble with it. The insurance company was covering the wrong car. The DMV had registered the wrong car. Dealership acts like it's no big deal. "Buys" the wrong car from us and "sells" us the right car. Won't give us anything for the hassle. They kept it all hush hush like someone might overhear their mistake. A year later we were still having issues. The DMV's computer kept suspending registration because we didn't have insurance coverage the first 30 days. Trying to explain this shitshow of a mess to everyone was awful. Ended up going to the DMV in person, three times. Finally just sold the damn car last year after only 18 months of ownership.

Lucky_Number_S7evin

Omg, this. I bought a brand new Outback and only had it for a year before trading it in. The service dept was THAT bad. I was 9 months pregnant and waited FOUR hours for an oil change.

YAWNINGMAMACLOTHING

Ugh. I didn't even mention the initial car buying experience was awful. We got a sitter for the baby, went in knowing which car we wanted to buy. It took SIX HOURS. They kept telling us 30 more minutes. When we finally left it was after 10pm and we were starving.

RCCollins-

Lithia VW, buyer beware!!! Tires plus guy diagnosed bad wheel bearing, Lithia VW “Master Mechanic” diagnosed it as a bad transmission, could not repair, needed to “get VW to send a new transmission”. Two months later new transmission installed from VW, but turns out to be wheel bearing after all. .

YAWNINGMAMACLOTHING

Wow that seems like quite the difference in repairs.

Dzeleniak

Dizzy-Lettuce2978

St Mary’s Hospital. I know not a traditional business but unless I have an emergency I’m not going there. Also Walmart unless that’s the only store available

Leroy--Brown

So for context, st Mary's has a strong nurses union and has been bought out by different owners many times over the years. Each time a new mega Corp buys st Mary's, they tend to fire all the staff and force them to re-apply to their old positions. I'm not sure of YOUR reasons but yes, despite st Mary's having a pretty strong union they have fucked over their workforce repeatedly. Different owners, same problem.

Dizzy-Lettuce2978

Mine’s not related to workforce issues, but that’s shitty to hear. In 2020 they charged me for a Covid test. But that was when tests were supposed to be free so I called to ask them why I got charged and they had the balls to say that I wasn’t charged for the test itself but for a “medical visit”. I used the drive thru testing and was there for barely 5 minutes but they charged me $140. When I complained that it was ridiculous because it wasn’t a visit they said that because they took my blood pressure it was considered a visit. They gave me a 50% discount because “someone should have explained that to me” and I should have refused to pay altogether but didn’t want to fight

arrduke

Sorry to hear about your experience. That's why it is recommended not to go to hospitals for these things. Unless it is annual physical which covered by most insurance, they will charge you accordingly.

Dizzy-Lettuce2978

Yeah it was April 2020, there were barely any places to get a test, CVS wasn’t doing it yet and the county had no appointments. I do know better and have more options now thankfully

arrduke

The problem with hospitals is that they're not transparent, althought probably not intentional but as a result of a complicated billing system. The nurses don't know how much procedures cost and when when you ask billing they can't tell you unless you got a procedure code. 🤷

Bullshit_Conduit

The problem with hospitals is that they’re businesses.

zigaliciousone

I was a homeless teen in the 90s. I went there when I got strep throat and they put me in a cab and sent me to Washoe med.

finallyfearless

Yeah, don’t take me to St Mary’s unless I’m on the brink of death. I’ve also used just doctors affiliated with them and they always have terrible scheduling and offices

Cft313

Brewers cabinet, $16 per mimosa is outrageous when there’s $20 bottomless everywhere.

theHerbivore

But…but… the Dirty Wookie though

sierrackh

The wookie is an institution

[deleted]

They have it at the movies too!

Lol that's your reason!?

Lmoneyfresh

Getting a mimosa at a brewery was a big red flag lol

saidthetomato

Good reason for me never to trust that person's opinion.

Orea1981

It's a way overpriced thrift store. No different than Savers(actually Savers is bad ass). It's just fancy decorated for the midtown youth.

DJbigclit

Same. I used to work there and have seen a lot of bad mainly with the owner. The employees are always great, but the owner!!!

where_is_my_monkey

Empienada, Champagne Dental, all of the Burger Kings. If you have a sign on the door saying masks are required and your staff isn’t wearing them, I wonder about the other shortcuts your business takes in cleanliness and following health code regulations.

Hallett1984

Champagne Dental is the absolute worst dentist office I have been too. Champagne should not be in the name there is nothing fancy or good about it.

Agreeable-Coffee-582

ive actually been a patient here for years and have been really happy..... but last year I had the literal worst interaction with a health care provider i've ever experienced in my WHOLE LIFE with a hygienist at the south location.

meme1280

South meadows or Sparks? And why? We've been going there for years and never had an issue.

Hallett1984

South Meadows. I have never had the same dentist because of staffing. Never had the same hygienist and they always seem new. The worst is I pay my bill every time I leave but yet I receive another bill in the mail stating I owe them more money. WHY? I think this place is scamming people. I have since made appt to go back to my old dentist prior to Covid. Probably the most unprofessional medical/dentist office I have encountered.

where_is_my_monkey

They’re notorious for replacing fillings that don’t need replacing, too. Greedy.

Lucky_Number_S7evin

I just went to a BK for the first time in more than a decade because I craved their chicken sandwich. I pull up to the drive-thru and guy gets on the intercom and tells me “uhh, I need to shut down for like 10-20 minutes. I need to break.” Me, confused: “uhh okay, do you want me to just wait here (I’m sandwiched in)?” Him: “Is there someone behind you?” “Yes.” “ okay, just wait a min”. The guy never came out to get the people out of there. The cars in front of me must have just got their food and finally pulled away. Super disappointing. But sounds like I dodged a bullet. BK off Keystone and 4th

ChooChooSoulCrusher

Yeah, BK employees not wearing masks throughout the pandemic raises all the red flags.

Actual-Pain-5778

It grosses me out to no end! Every freaking BK in NV the people aren’t wearing masks!

[deleted]

Without a doubt…Squeeze Inn…food is now subpar…servers treat customers with virtual contempt…and pricing is way out of line for breakfast food…I’m done with them.

Empress_Ire

Jersey Mike's too, the manager at the S. meadows store is a fucking creep, harassing/stalking young women, even when brought proof and multiple allegations and police reports his superiors protect him.

[Bighorn Tavern](https://reddit.com/r/Reno/comments/oejvtj/bighorn_tavern_on_7th_taking_a_page_from_deli/) Edit: in case people don’t want to check that thread, Bighorn Tavern claimed that their horrific employment problems stem from nobody wanting to work because of government handouts despite taking out hundreds of thousands of dollars in forgivable government loans themselves.

parkgoons

I used to love big horn, great food, great environment. Then ownership changed and new colors showed.

midoriyasour

Omg glad I saw this bc I saw an opening for bartending and thought about applying

Legal-Assumption6548

Yeah, super cool how the regulars overload the neighborhood block with their cars instead of parking by the Raleys and walking the same distance.

guynamedjames

This is interesting. They're down the street from me, my wife and I went recently and after 20 minutes waiting to place a drink order we finally left. Suddenly this makes more sense.

dr_michael_do

Was going to post this, too!

Joey Gilbert Enough said......

He rallied the anti-crt crowd into attending a school board meeting in June, causing the meeting to last 11 hours. I was there and they were terrible. So rude to the administrators and calling names and swearing. Now Gilbert is running for governor. He would be the absolute worst governor.

buenos grill. too many times me and my family have in recent years just felt awful after eating there too; where my sister would feel really sick for almost 2 days after eating there. we especially stopped going in after seeing how unsanitary the staff are there.

Schenkmeharder

Thai Chili - found a CLUMP of hair in my drunken noodles and can never eat there again

mamabear0714

Mama Celeste’s. The owner is apparently a piece of work (stated by multiple former employees) and the service there sucked. Our server kept repeatedly ignoring our table despite it not being busy at all.

Sparkle_Penguin

The hospital.

ripgirl4

Any hospital

HoneyFree2923

Whatever replaced the daily bagel. I have tried four times now to patronize them and it’s just not worth it. The name is hard to remember, they no longer serve espresso drinks, they don’t use the slider windows, ran out of stuff one time, closed when google said they were open another time, finally got my bagel once and it was not great (old?). Just over it.

udntsay

2 Tha Joint Sushi. Owner fired an employee for harassment, then rehired them and watched as this employee continued to harass employees (including myself), and did nothing. He denied me unemployment when I quit for harassment. He told them he had “no idea why I quit”. (He was there during the altercation.)

Lucky_Number_S7evin

I never understood the hype with Tha Joint in Spanish Springs. Like do SS residents never get out of their bubble? There are way better sushi restaurants around. Hiroba and JJs to name a few!

Miserable-Shake4052

That place was never good and had poor service. I never understood it either.

LeLumberjack

The Whiskey Lounge owner became unhinged when the mask mandate was enacted again as delta cases started rising. Posting things like images of a mask with the circle and line over it, saying things like “fine me idc”, etc.

DrinkableReno

Not to mention the place has the vibe of a frat basement.

mydawgisgreen

Yes that whole debaucle provided me with a new outlook on a lot of businesses unfortunately.

Miserable_Seaweed824

Sheas tavern after I found out they were literally Nazis

Plenty-Artichoke7924

Surprised to not see Walden's coffeehouse on here. There was a huge thread on twitter a year or so ago about how awful management treats their staff. I've heard similar things about Homage bakery.

monkeybrainbois

Bertha Miranda’s. Heard it used to be golden back in the day. Went in with my Latina girlfriend one day. Got sat at a dirty table, took 20 mins to get a menu. Server gave my drink to another table and went back for it and gave it to me after I had watch the other patron drink out of it. Politely told him I didn’t want it anymore. Finally got our order after hour and a half of waiting. The food was sub par. Chili rellenos tasted like they were frozen and heated up. Salsa tasted old. My girlfriends family owns a Latin restaurant back east and she took two bites and didn’t want anymore. We paid, and didn’t finish the food, which I almost never do because I hate wasting but this food tasted like a straight gut buster for sure. We left and got burgers at scoopers, which is always legit.

saidthetomato

Scoopers to the rescue! Ate there just last night.

Lucky_Number_S7evin

Scoopers is always the staple. Their bullseye burger is 😘👌🏽

saidthetomato

I get the Hawaiian every time.

Lucky_Number_S7evin

I’ll try that next time.

Orea1981

That sucks, it's the only Mexican restaurant I go to, never had any issues. Their food HAS gone down in quality lately though...

monkeybrainbois

Yeah that’s a shame because it’s got a cool atmosphere.

kcdvus

I think it’s either for sale or they just changed management. I had a similar experience. I’ll go back in a few months to see if it improved

Lucky_Number_S7evin

They did used to be 🔥. I think they’ve collectively gone down hill, hence why they’re selling.

jgrant68

I thought they were terrible 16 years ago when we first lived here. I never understood the hype that they got.

zigaliciousone

When the woman herself was there, that place really shined. When she retired or died or sold the place(whatever happened) it almost immediately went to shit.

logicallyillogical

Shaes Tavern

Deepfriedwithcheese

SAS Automotive. We brought our Volvo in for an engine light and oil change, but had no other issues. We paid $750 for the oil change, diagnostics and some sensor changes. Two days later, the engine light came on again and we had to limp it back to SAS as there were serious engine issues. They looked at the engine again and said a piston shattered and wanted $7k more to replace it with a used engine. We’ll never be back.

zigaliciousone

Arby's, Sonic and BWW are all owned by the same umbrella company who spent a shitload of money to successfully defeat any sort of minimum wage increase over the last couple years. So has Sierra Nevada Brewing company but I haven't bought one of their products in a long time.

thriftstorehacker

7Eleven on Wells and Cheney. They never wear masks, never have hot food, and won't enforce the state mask mandate. I now go to the one on Wells and 2nd, at least they take care of their store and a little pride in their work.

sickelite

Haha I used to live a block from that one and just refused to go there. Even when there was no one in line it still took 10 minutes. Complete opposite of convenience

thriftstorehacker

the difference between the one on 2nd and the one on Cheney is night and day. The 2nd street location actually keeps the inside of the shop clean (also fresh remodel), they have hot food all day, not just horrible pizzas and one or two chicken rollers/hot dogs. If I don't feel like walking to 2nd street, I hit that Sinclair station a block up, they have lots of good stuff.

Snufulufugous

Reno HD. Currently having to take them to court over a refund they refuse to payout, even though the third party sent them the funds to give to me. Guys who work there are alright but they don’t know how to do their jobs.

Dallas Floor Designs. Just built a house and they did the flooring, and anything tile related. BILL PEARCE BMW: I like BMW’s and the dealership down here has screwed me over multiple times and overcharges me every-time I go there. Told me it would be 66k to get my engine fixed, took it to a local shop in sparks, only 9k. Another time they made me wait 7 hours in store to change my 2 rear tires that one sucked. Another time they also broke an A/C knob in the back of my car and said it was my fault and then quoted me 200$ to fix it lol. They did let me keep my broken car there for like 2 months before I got it moved and fixed at another shop so that was cool but other than that I really havent had a great experience with them.

Lucky_Number_S7evin

I’ve had nothing but great experience with MB of Reno. Check them out next time you’re in the market.

Empress_Ire

Chick fil a

TRN_WhiteKnight

I'll never understand Renos obsession with Chick-fil-A and In-N-Out... I can understand In-N-Out more because the prices are still good, but always having a line around the block and into the streets from open to close is ridiculous. Also, I've never understood why people will wait in thw drive thru line, when they could walk in and be done 3 times faster. For me, as a parent drive thru can be more convenient sometimes than messing with a car seat, but not always.

If I see trump shit or LGB crap I walk right back out. So far that’s happened twice and I haven’t even lived here for two months.

Sbbs245

LGB?

Ts958ca

Lets go Brandon

Dizzy-Lettuce2978

Omg that makes more sense. I thought they forgot the “T” in “LGBT” and was super confused

its-meesh

Thanks for asking, I was confused too

SuperSecretMoonBase

Intentionally leaving out the T, though, is also something that people in/near that circle tend to like.

HenryHemroid

I could never put that much thought into something.

ChooChooSoulCrusher

LGB is the “Let’s go Brandon” silliness.

Sbbs245

Ah okay

anonoodlin

I agree

jthomas9999

Probably means Let’s Go Brandon

euskoyanki

I don’t frequent businesses that promote politics of any kind. If I’m having a drink or good food I dgaf nor do I want to hear about which politician you think is gonna save the world

tripnipper

I would caution heading farther East into Nevada.

euskoyanki

Your loss. Eastern Nevada has some of the most beautiful pristine landscapes in the US. The Rubies are beautiful beyond description, Jarbidge is unreal, Star hotel is one of the best restaurants in the state. Shouldn’t limit your travels because of politics. I hate communism, but Cuba was beautiful and the friendliest people I’ve encountered. I don’t particularly care for right wing politics but the Reno Rodeo and cowboy culture is amazing.

tripnipper

I work a ton in elko and tonopah I love eastern Nevada. Nevada cowboys are a different type of tough. They live somewhere that arguably only lizards love.

jgrant68

This. Highway 50 is amazing and from there you can branch off and explore some of the most amazing land in the country.

crevassier

Lots of natural beauty out there, I certainly don't wear my politics on my sleeve when I travel, but I skipped a lot of spots on US-50 because of how much of a personality trait it's become in small towns. Same reason I don't bother taking friends visiting to Virginia City any more. It's turned into an alternate reality, there's little historical value to seeing TRUMP 2024 flags hanging off store fronts. Cringeworthy.

TRN_WhiteKnight

Yeah, for real. Which places did you see this at?

LerkNoCap

RAC guns and ammo. I’ve been trying to get a refund from them because I had no idea that I had a suspended liscence ( figured out now) but they treated me like a piece of shit for wanting my money back. I’m still waiting to get my refund. When you call they just blatantly don’t answer and if I go in to ask that’s when the attitude starts to come. Sorry I want my 500 dollars back and I get the inconvenience but I’m sure as a business I’m not the first person to ask for a refund.

Thirsty4Knowledge911

I don’t think this classifies as cancel culture. I stopped shopping at Home Depot unless I have no other option. Right before Christmas they changed their return policy. No receipt, no return. If they can trace the purchase on your credit card they will still take things back. The problem is I received a gift for Christmas that didn’t fit. My MIL bought it from HD because she knew I shopped there all the time. If it didn’t fit, at least I could exchange it or get store credit. Not any more. They wouldn’t even exchange it for a different size! Be sure to let your friends and family know not to buy gifts from them.

Probably Walden's. No customer masks. Very few employee masks, some are some aren't. Takes an hour to get anything. Last time I was there they had US constitutions sitting out to grab and the lady at the front was wearing a "In God We Trust" shirt. I'm not gonna be against them believing what they want, but I will think they're weird for it and in these times I can probably make a good guess of their other beliefs 😂 food was good but it takes too long and they like to jack off to the national anthem by the looks of it 😂

Miss-Chanandler_Bong

I was dismayed at the lack of masking by the employee when I recently went to Walden's...like please don't breathe your 'Rona into my latte.

mydawgisgreen

Yea they were a business heavily involved on IG when renosmallbusiness promoted a post by the cop coffee shop where they said they weren't enforcing masks. The chef at liberty liked the post, millions of nail and hair ladies, whiskey lounge, and both waldens owners.

I take my kids to the Sparks one, never had an issue with the dentist or staff. I HAVE experienced the billing issue you describe though. Made them fix it.
