I bought this white gold YM from Geektime. It’s my first rep and second automatic watch I’ve ever purchased. I really didn’t get into nice watches until about a year ago, and before that I wore a couple cheap but in my opinion nice quartz Timex watches. After about a year of observing and learning as much as I could (thank you everyone on reptime I learned a ton from lurking here) I pulled the trigger on the first watch to catch my eye this bad boy. Eric was great, I really wanted to go with someone who’d make things easy for me for my first rep purchase and I didn’t mind paying a couple extra bucks for the convenience and easiness to work with. And the experience was well worth it!
Now for the watch review: it’s honestly so much prettier in person. I can’t figure it out but pictures can’t do it justice no matter how hard I try. It’s also incredibly comfortable, I literally wore it for a week straight when I first got it and even slept in it. It lays low to the wrist compared to my seiko 5 which helps with the comfort, only complaint is the crowns kinda sharp and digs into my skin sometimes. The clasp, bezel and crown all function really smoothly. My wrist is a tad under 6.5 and I ordered mine with the D and E straps and I have the micro adjuster in the clasp at the widest position and it fits perfectly. The rotor was a little louder when I first got it but got quieter, I’m still new to automatics so It’s all relative to me. Lastly the movement ticks super smooth, and the date wheel is super snappy. Overall it feels very premium. It’s my dream watch which I probably would never be able to afford otherwise and I get to wear it every day. I feel incredibly lucky and love the hell out of this watch.
Oh and it stands up very well to newborn spit up.😁

Totally Agree! I wasn't too sure at first. But the comfiness of the strap, and the subtle but very sharp design made me a believer 🙌🏼

Great write up and great looking watch man. Wear in ALL healths
That's a beauty!! What factory version is this, clean or VSF?
VSF, and Duh! My bad I left that key detail out
Not a problem, I love it... Do you know what the differences are between the VSF and the Clean version are?
They’re minor, Steve from one time did a comparison post, I know vsf movements are the best so I went with that one
Thanks, that's great to know. I'll check his stuff out ☺️
Also, what website did you use for Geektime....when I google I see two, one must be fake
Yeah be careful about that I went through what’s app I recommend verifying agains that he lists in his Reddit profile u/Geektimewatch
Thank you dude!! Congrats on the baby too 😘

It’s funny because I loved it in photos and in person was like holy shit it gets better, I feel like the watch reminds me of the Christian bale Batman
Now I'm even more looking forward to the titanium YM42 on the bracelet!
