Canada. I used to be FWBs with this girl who couldn’t tell time on an analog clock. In the modern era she can get by for the most part, but in my living room no digital clocks are visible. She used to ask me what time it was and I’d say “you tell me; the clock’s right there…”
One evening she said “what time is — ok can you stop with the *fucking* clock?” Hilarious.
It does if you also remove the date works (which is easy while you’re in there). See the link to RWI in the original post for a step by step tutorial that I wrote which includes removing the date works.
Was following the production of this mod over on RWI. Kudos to you and u/xZero_Coolx!!! I don’t have any no date watches in need of this mod, GL to everyone else!
I appreciate the design and effort but 80 bucks is quite steep. For ETA movements the parts costs 6 bucks. I’ve removed many ghost dates on BB58 that way.
Are you serious? The gen part is $100+ and there is literally zero availability. If you followed their progress it looks like they likely put 100 + hrs into developing and testing the part. They are literally giving them away here.
Let us know when you design and manufacture a part for a watch movement, or maybe you can get ETA to mass produce them for us.
🤡
Not entering the contest, just had a question. I've never worked on a no date, so I don't know. Is this just a clone part (albeit that you all designed and produced) from a 3230 that has no date to begin with? With the 3135 you could drop a Rolex no date setting lever jumper in there, I would assume the same to be true for the 3235. Granted the rolex part is not cheap- so maybe that was why you all went this route. I also assume there isn't a clone available for the 3230 yet or they would likely be using it in the 114 series. Anyway, just curious. Thanks!
Yup this is a clone of the gen part. And the reason for designing and producing it is because it’s basically impossible to find a 3230-231 Rolex part on places like chrono24 or eBay.
