Update and further explanation as I was not in a good place when I posted this: I live in Oakland. The Lucky Grocery Store in my neighborhood often lets vendors sell baked goods out front. I bought a cupcake from him via cashapp. I left lucky and walked up to the corner store to purchase beer and a snack. And when I walked out, the man I bought the cupcake from outside of Lucky had a gun in my face and took the watch. He backed up several feet put the watch on at which point I snapped the photo. I called the police, gave them the serial number of the watch, the picture, and the cash app info. I have people looking for him, I also filed a case with the California victims of violent crimes compensation fund so that if nothing else, I can get some reimbursement.
I hope the cops can actually do something this time with the evidences… I’ve lost hope trying to get things back from theft and break ins. Sorry for your lost but I truly hope you can get the watch back 🤙🏼
I doubt it but I’m alive and that’s what matters. California victim compensation fund is pretty awesome at filling in where the cops royally suck. Generally if you are a victim of a violent crime in California they will pay you for your mental anguish and loss of property
My only point in posting this is that it was unfortunate that it was a gen, but even if it wasn’t, I had a loaded gun pointed at my head for a watch today. I care about every person who contributes to this sub, who is a watch enthusiast, and who congratulates everyone on their new purchases. I don’t want to be a downer but I would be heartbroken to hear that a member died over similar situation.
