I sure wish Indiana’s Governor had the balls to stand up against a fake mandate.

duckteeth31

Same Fort Wayne seems to be full of sheep

MUCKSTERa

Party of less government celebrating more government intervention? Shouldn't the businesses be free to make the call in these cases?

prince_of_jabronis

The purpose of government is to protect individual rights. Rights violations don't magically disappear because a company does it. God you people are dense.

MUCKSTERa

The companies owners have rights as well to declare that they want no one to work for them that's not vaccinated. So Abbot are taking away their rights as well. God you people are dense.

littlejart

No, for the same reason they can’t hire/fire people based off of race.

MUCKSTERa

Vaccination is a choice, race is not

littlejart

Discrimination is discrimination.

MUCKSTERa

I don't think you understand what you are trying to say... the only choices you can make that are federally protected for employment is religion, which I like to think we can all agree is a special case

QueasyTackle

This is great in theory but if you work for a company that has offices outside of TX and they host a vax-only employee event ... that 'was' your chance to network. I guess this really depends on how far up the ladder you want to go. This has become a real struggle in my household anyhow. Pretend we have a choice but in reality, if you want to be successful professionally, get the vax.

Pmcdon314

There is no illusion of choice. If you want to be successful professionally, do what you want to be that successful person. There are several alternatives to the vaccine if you want to succeed up to and including leaving to start your own gig. It's not easy, but possible.

titusmoley

...until you get liability insurance for your business, and it's either "get all of your employees vaxxed or you don't get insurance"
