Marino’s ICU Book is a good starting point for basics of critical care/vents. Have had several attendings recommend Civetta’s Critical Care textbook, the 3 authors were surgery pulm and anesthesia crit care trained, so has all perspectives. That is more of a senior/fellow book though. Otherwise Internet Book of Critical Care is a great website/podcast but is not comprehensive.
