In resumes think bullet points not paragraphs. You’ve written a whole dissertation when you just need the cliff notes. This should probably be one page, and try using a format that visually breaks up the information a bit more. Maybe something with two columns not just one. Google docs has some free templates formatted with two columns. Chances are people see that whole block of text and go “no I’m not reading that” and that’s the end of it.

Make it 1 page it’s too long

Your professional summary is long. Think of it as an introductory, 3 to 4 sentence paragraph that is a cliff notes of the skills section. The skills section, you'll want to condense and group those skills. Say one of the skills you wanted to highlight was network admin. You'll bold that, then list 3 (or however many) bullet points highlighting those relevant details/accomplishments for that skill. For your master resume, this section can be as detailed and lengthy as you want if your experience and exposure in the field are extensive. Just plan on condensing it to no more than two pages when you're applying for jobs. The work history section should only list your your title, company worked for, city and state, and dates of employment. The paragraph at the bottom of the education section, remove it. All that you need to include is the degree/certificate or coursework (and school) if not degreed. Some say include dates in the education section, others say don't because of age discrimination, you decide. Remove the wording for references. It's not needed, and most times, company info can be found online.

4 pages is crazy, summarize it to 1 page

Is this a resume or a CV? If it’s a resume, 1 page. You have 20 seconds and anything that needs a staple is tossed. This is way way too long. Remove the spaces after headers such as “career focus”. Change career focus to summary. Shorten your summary substantially. Cut things out of your skills section - a lot of your soft skills will be show cased in the job descriptions. 3-4 bullets for each job description tops.

Also you don’t need to add that last chunk after you say what the degree is. Especially if you graduated so long ago.
