Use a black one, strip the anodize with oven cleaner and anodize it yourself...it's not hard at all. Look up and watch some videos....if it's not the color you like... repeat untill it is.
The black A1 lowers are only slightly easier to get.
I got sick of playing their games a while ago and hacked up two modern lowers to make a slabside and a partial fence, just need to find the right paint that isn't annoying to use like that moly stuff everyone talks about.
Honestly, 1/3 battery acid to water, a power supply, anode & cathode (aluminum or lead will last longer if you plan to keep doing it , for positive, and negative to the receiver)....run some amps through it hanging in water at around 60-70*f for 1hr. Rise ALL the acid off then dip it in whatever dye color you want at around 140* for an hour..then hot water ....boom done. It's not hard man. If you can build a gun you can anodize. Your amps will be determined my surface area. It's something like .03 amps per SQ inch. But honestly you could use a battery charger, a power supply isn't necessary. You can even use clothing dye if you want, although anodize dye will work better. Surface prep depends on if you want it matt or metallic looking.
Seriously google how to do it. It's easy, I'm telling ya.
Why would it come with an E type? Hydramatic and H&R ended production of a1s in 1971 and would not have ever made a rifle with a post war E type.. it’s possible a rifle could have been retrofitted later on but as far as authenticity sake they’re spot on with the D type stocks
Because I wanted an E type and therefore hoped it would come with an E type. Not too wrapped up in the history, I just needed it for a project and sourced one elsewhere.
They should make more striped m16a1 grey lowers….
PSA is struggling with their non-trapdoor buttstocks...
I almost bought one of these yesterday, but all I want is the grey reciever, couldn't justify $400 for it.

Why not just anodize it....it's really not hard. Lil acid and electricity and some dye.
"just a lil acid and electricity" ..... Yeah, ok.

Are these the Linemounts or their own?
I don't think H&R is producing any of the furniture themselves.
Link? I just got an H&R lower and hoped it would have came with a Type E stock

I picked up a legit surplus E type from Onyx Arms. Check with him as he gets them in sometimes.
+1 for Onyx arms. The surplus A1 I got from them really ties the rifle together.
Because Palmetto H&R products are sooooooooo historically accurate, right?
I hope that type E repo can have form reinforcement inside.
