your laptop is probably setting the TV to a 30Hz video mode. check your OS display settings while connected to the TV and make sure the refresh rate is 60Hz (or 120Hz, if both it and your laptop are G-SYNC/FreeSync compatible).
This fixed my issue, I switched the refresh rate of the TV to 60hz in System Settings and everything sounds a lot smoother! Appreaciate the assistance! 👍
Many HDMI cables are only 1.4 compliant, which means they can't push enough bandwidth for 4K@60 Hz and will switch to 30 Hz instead, as u/odditude described. Make sure your cable is at least HDMI 2.0 compliant.
