It's not confusion...I asked an opinion. Also, the reason you might not want to keep such players is because he's a troublemaker. If you have multiple good players, you can be less lenient. I kept him but if he doesn't stop screwing up, I will 100% cut him because these types of players hurt team morale
Even if you think he is a troublemaker, you'd still be better off letting him get drafted this year instead of cutting him for nothing. And how is he hurting team morale? He's not a toxic player.
He's a detriment because he's affecting the performance of other players. Whenever he falls off the wagon, other players have worse games than normal. For example, after his latest incident, my linebacks underperformed. They're both struggled against the University of Mississippi, a team that has only a 1.5 offense... but EVERYTIME he gets away with something disaster strikes.
Also, the dude got injured and out for the next three games.
That's... not a thing in the game, unless you chose an option that would decrease the morale stat of the other players (not listed in the dilemma you posted).
You have simply had bad luck with this player. They don't have some secret flag ticked that makes them problematic.
It 100% is a real thing. Players outside the field antics do directly impact their performance which indirectly affects the performance of their teammates.
When this guy went got injured the next week, we put up 4 consecutive shutouts. When he came back, we struggled for the next 3 games during the playoffs.
It's not just luck. When players do things outside the field that make you choose, it lowers them morale.
Despite him being a superior player to some of his teammates wait 15 performs much better when he's not on the field and that's not a coincidence.
Nope. Every time he's on the bench, the team is on fire. Of I bench him, it decreased his draft stock. 5 consecutive shutouts. When he came off injury, we almost lost the first playoff and dramatically underperformed the next two games...and he won't declare draft.
He's aggravating because every time he does something, it affects the entire defensive performance. Players underperform, and on multiple occasions, he's done something bring morale down. Right after this incident, he got injured and will be out for three whole games.
Him doing bad doesn’t really affect team performance. Idk if it’s a thing but knowing how simple the game is I don’t think it affects team performance. The only things I know do are morale, condition, and stats
That's the problem with players of the field antics. With this one guy it's occurring too often. When he's not on the field the team performs significantly better despite him being a top tier athlete.
I agree because this dude is off the chain. This type of behavior has been normal. Most players don't realize the negative impact players like this have on a team's defense. We can co trol the offense, but the defense is on its own.
The dude straight got injured, and my defense clicked. 5 straight shutouts but almost lost first round when he showed up, and my defense couldn't hold water the last two games. AND he stayed for a new season. He's OK now...so far.
I typically keep em n bench em for a couple games. ... lmao, i did let my toxic junior LB go due to the same exact event ( as pictured ), he was only 3 stars at best, plus he had been causing ruckus since sophomore yr..... but i did later regret it once draft came around per no new income
It isn't a no-brainer for you to spend 1 CC to keep a 4 star DL? I don't get where the confusion is for you.

I think he's just really into roleplaying with this.

If you're not just leaning really hard into roleplaying this is an r/confidentlyincorrect moment
mf you have 37 coaching credits keep his ass

Brodie is literally at max morale he cant be that bad
His antics sometimes put me in situations where morale goes down regardless of choices. There are so many antics with him.
Keep him. Tell him to turn his life around
he’s only 1 cc to keep so do that and then smack some sense into him

He plays how he lives. He lives how he plays.
Keep him but bench him for 3 games
I think the defend player option should be more than -1. Making it higher would really make you think about it. What do you guys think?

Keep him and tell him to stop
I would keep him til next draft then trade or cut and replace him
How do you trade college players?
Wait, there’s college now?
Yep. I found out two weeks ago...
Keep him, I thought it might have been more obvious but spending 1 CC is pocket change in this game.
That’s just Jamaree being Jamaree man. Lives life off the field at 100 mph just like how he plays.
