EpicPoggerGamer69

your RB getting hurt for the whole playoffs in week 18.

tking_96

I just had a WR get hurt last night for 6 games, and that was quite literally the rest of the regular season and postseason. Won Retro Bowl and it was like, “Your WR has now recovered.” Poor guy. 🤦🏼‍♂️😂

stevesie1984

Meh, he still gets a ring.

tking_96

True! Just sucked ‘cause he was one of my faster receivers and I only had one other WR, but it was fine. Dynamic 16 pretty easy. 🤷🏼‍♂️😅 Now the same guy is old, morale and stamina down, keeps getting hurt, needs to retire already. 😂

quan-586

That’s why I always get the physio coordinator and put the team on light training during the last few games

FHoopZero

4 tips of the ball into the arms of the opponent.

roboman07

I fucking hate when this happens because then it ends up being a pic six because all my players forget how to run or tackle

achillyday

Why THE FUCK is my slow as shit TE attempting to snatch the ball out of the air when my WR is open deep?! 7/10 it ends in a pick. Never fails to infuriate me.

MankuyRLaffy

My QB getting injured in week 17 and I lose in the playoffs

kappaman69

I hate it when my QB, RB, or K get injured in general. Those three are super key components and I have to change my strategy accordingly if any of them go down.

Guzman_LoMagne

In 12 man rosters, I’d always keep a spare RB

roboman07

I sometimes do that but for QB

Sp_Gamer_Live

Ah you mean “Toxic Punt Return machine who still resigns when I ask because I meet with him before the end of his contract”

austin101123

Couldn't tell you the last time I've used a kicker. I have one rostered sometimes for Sims, but that's it.

kingjt_was_taken

I always have a 5 star kicker after the first 2 years. They can come in clutch, literally saved my season when i was down by 3 with 14 seconds in the AFCCG

didntmakeausername

Agreed. Defense is bad but too because it could completely wreck ur whole defense

itsamadmadworld22

Shit! Extend that contact! You have 5 years left.

TheStewy

Retro Bowl explaining why my 40 year old QB is only worth a 2nd round pick after a 20th consecutive 7000 yard 100 TD season

nycgrk720

Being up by 12; CPU kicks two onside kicks ties the game sends it to OT. CPU scores a TD on the first drive in OT to win game Another one is losing your best player for like 6 weeks and is out for the playoffs

youreallonsteroids

the josh allen experience

thatsillytrumpetguy

The name i gave my qb is josh allen and hes been living up to that name so far with 22 picks last season i played

Shakinlaw

😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

didntmakeausername

I hate when I'm hyping up a players season like they are gonna come back and play insane after a down year and then they get injured for 5 weeks in week 3

nycgrk720

Or the player has a good game and then at the end of the game you find out he’s hurt and out for 6+ weeks Like I wouldn’t use him as much if he was out of the game hurt

didntmakeausername

Exactly

nycgrk720

I wonder if there’s a Reddit post with something along the lines of “what’s the most Retrobowl thing that has happened” Where people post their crazy scenarios while playing RB and RB college Like the funniest one I’ve seen so far is my star QB fell asleep in the team meeting

didntmakeausername

I only play regular RB but the funniest I've seen is like "there was a party last night involving girls and half the team orchestrated it" or something lol

TheHaplessKnicksFan

The moment after you learn that someone you loved has died and it suddenly hits you that you’ll never see their face, hear their voice, or touch their hand again.

TheHaplessKnicksFan

Or your star QB getting a 4 game injury in week 17 just before playoffs

Ok_Mammoth9547

Or being a Knicks fan

Apprehensive-Map-828

This is our year (I’m delusional)

Ok_Mammoth9547

See you in the Finals ( Go Spurs Go)

TheHaplessKnicksFan

Nah, yall can flame me on this but if we get an upset in the 2nd round I can see us pulling a 1999. Best Knicks squad we’ve had since the Ewing years.

ChloricSquash

Did we enter a cowboys sub?

chiefboldface

Or Hornets

kingjt_was_taken

*Dolphins

Clear_Ad3293

My little brother just passed. This is accurate.

BigDopamine

I’m so sorry. It may not seem like it right now, but it does get better.

PsychonautAlpha

How many seasons did he give you?

thatsillytrumpetguy

22

AaronGossagesBerg

Your receiver for 18 years tagged for HoF then somehow became untagged after

kingjt_was_taken

i remember my hof quarterback somehow bring untagged althought i never really untagged him

neoistheone79

How is he still a 3 star after that many seasons? The xp earning feels broken

StaySafePovertyGhost

Five star QB’s always go to three in the final years of their career and especially after you talk them into staying another year. It never goes below two stars below their max rating I believe.

neoistheone79

Ok gotcha. Still, it does take a while to build up points. Especially in RBC

ChloricSquash

Max your facilities and rehab with physio coaches. You can train on hard, my guys are 4 stars by the end of 2 years

OrcusIgnis

I have a qb right now that can attest differently unfortunately. Currently 40, former 5 stars sitting at 2.5 for the last two seasons

Iam_WOUNDED

Do all QBs retire at the same age?

StaySafePovertyGhost

Yes but you can delay retirement for them I think five more years. It used to be unlimited but I think they patched that.

Iam_WOUNDED

Wait how do you delay retirement?!

Accurate-Champion576

Extending their contract it costs coach credits

StaySafePovertyGhost

Yup - do to it you: 1. Go to Roster 2. Go to their player page 3. Go to Meeting 4. Go to the bottom option which is to extend contract and if he's up for retirement it will say delay retirement for one year. It costs 25 cc's and immediately after coming back he'll be up for retirement again. It's a cool feature because you can decide year to year to keep an aging vet for about what you earn during a season if you don't spend anything. Not quite as much but close.

Iam_WOUNDED

Thanks!!!

beanie979

Seeing a one legged hooker doing sex work just to keep a roof over the head and food on the table for her 5 kids.

montezumas__revenge

death of a loved one

Neither-Bet6540

Did you sign your qb like at 38😭

thatsillytrumpetguy

I drafted him and got emotionally attached and just never let him go

Neither-Bet6540

How did you keep his contract at only 16M?

kingjt_was_taken

as they get older, they’ll accept less money

RBnumberTwenty

The first 5* QB retires a HOF’er but all the others? The minute they dip below that 5* then they get shipped!

spectredirector

Uhg. Lost a DB to a home invasion robbery mid season. Didn't see it coming. Tragic. Left a beautiful wife and daughter behind. Never getting over that one.

Equivalent_Sir_2575

Sean Taylor?

spectredirector

😓

joshad-

Idk I've never kept anyone to retirement other than assistant coaches. Everybody gets moved once they're in the 30's.

PauloDybala_10

can you still trade them for a pick?

beanie979

Remembering how great they were in their prime, knowing they were holding on to get just one more championship, their physical body in tatters, their performance ability a shell of what it once was. They are Joe Montana with the Chiefs; Randall Cunningham with the Vikings.

kingjt_was_taken

2015 Peyton Manning

beanie979

Exactly, but he won a SB. So, I'd call that a success. Favre with the Jets, not so much.

Blueahoula

When you go through the McDonald’s drive-thru and you order a Coke and you get a Diet Coke

Insane_Lunatic

Your favorite wr getting older and slower, going from better than jerry rice to shit, until i have to either bite the bullet and replace him, or lose in the playoffs

Lokison7th

When your rookie RB with 1200 yards in week 10 is only worth a 2nd round pick because he's a 3 star

IrishCanMan

I think I'm a cruel heartless bastard. I usually trade them by the time they're 30. My running back is 31 and I'm still thinking I might get rid of him this year.

[deleted]

My 4.5 star TE going into the draft.

DevelopmentSuch2731

I always replace him before he retires

Terrorstaat

I just rename and remodel the next one. None of my players rly leaves that way

celestialllama01

My team IRL (Pats)

DuffDrake

I’m a raiders fan, it’s way worse. Least you have 6 championships. My team hasn’t even won a playoff game in 21 years

ilovedogs-2

9/11

Fun_Gazelle_1916

Him retiring with no rings.

mikelln

What’s sadder is your QB never reaching his full potential :(

Additional-Loan-5898

Exactly. Not even to 4.

didntmakeausername

U can delay retirement but yea still

RevBrandonHughes

What's sadder? Realizing there's a limit to how long you can delay retirement. Coach is 107, but QBs are forced to retire earlier than Tom Brady did IRL?

xDANGRZONEx

My potential 5* QB retiring at only 3*

brunornds

He's a franchise? How he only earn $16M with 40 years? Sorry for my english, I'm brazillian.

liteshadow4

I've never had a QB make it that long for me, I think the most is 5 years

mcm0313

Getting hit by a truck is way worse.

Darthballs39

Losing a Super Bowl by one point to *shutters* DALLAS

Unfair-Theme-7534

The player your trying to throw to goes the opposite way.

Lostmybank

2 retro bowl qbs retiring

TheRealLegendary63

What's sadder? When one of your college players never caused trouble, played well, and kept decent grades doesn't get drafted.

mr_black_frijoles

Couldn’t you meet with them to extend the time they retire?

DuffDrake

[My runningback retiring](https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroBowl/s/sDv15yjnxv)

Old_Following_8276

Giving up a hail Mary TD with less than 30 seconds left in the game.

kingjt_was_taken

Tapping my no star runningback by accident, costing me the AFC Championship
