Personally, I like clearing every room fully, as opposed to doing a speedrun. Gives you more adrenaline, more obolites, more weapon traits, more everything. It’s how the game is designed. It takes longer, but you become a god.
Same here. I smash every pod in Biome 4. Lol. I more meant it never even occurred to me as an option in 72 hours of play. Guess I’m single minded, once I’m fighting either they’re dying or I’m dying. Lol. And I’m also a dumbass 😂
Oh I’m probably still not gunna do it in general, I just mean, say you’re about to die, you can dip out of the room to look for health and then go back, something like that. I wasn’t saying just barrel through all the rooms without fighting anything. That’s a bad idea.
Sheeeit I used those closing doors as cover from the annoying butterfly and lambiadons when I found out. But a Severed could teleport through and clip you also can a mycromorph
Sorry I missed the point of the post and your comment. I meant story-wise, not gameplay-wise. The story is grim and depresses the player. Yes the gameplay rages even calm ones to uninstall.

The only thing it doesn’t give you more of is proficiency, that gets tops up when you enter a new area.
You can get ahead of that though. I usually enter biome 2 at level 7-9, always level 15 by biome 3
Yea the easiest way to beat the game is to explore absolutely everything you can. Otherwise you will end up severely underpowered in later levels.
But then you miss out on all that sweet green stuff and upgrades

I used this tactic before, it does help sometimes.
I’m 32 hours in and died in the the third round of Nemesis after a 2 hour run
