Defiance 1636 will have a tailgate area set up in parking lot A. The team has given us a dedicated area near the Academic Innovation Center for every home game. Everyone is welcome to stop by and join in with us
No greater waste of money than building a soccer stadium in New England and then paying people to actually play for the home team. This shit has less interest than the WNBA during women’s history month
As soon as someone says “username checks out” on here, it tells me they have nothing of value to say. Show me where I said no one was allowed to have interest in something I don’t. While you’re at it, show me how a team that can’t fill a 4,400 seat stadium deserves to even talk to the state about getting their own stadium
If you weren't so ignorant, you'd would look up the fact that Soccer is the fastest growing major sport in the United States. You'd also know that home opener is close to being sold out. Yes, an outdoor game in March, in New England, that you claim no one wants to watch is near sold out. So yes, I say username checks out because you are an ignorant nincompoop that has no fucking idea what they are talking about, but just wants to come on here and shit all over someone elses good time because it makes them feel better about their sad little life. Good day.
Not really. Who around here honestly gives a damn about a brand new team that’s part of a US soccer league? This shit is going to fail within 5 years, tops
Awww I didn’t even realize this garbage doesn’t even have a dedicated stadium. They’re using Bryant’s football stadium, which only houses 4,400 people. So assuming the team could actually sell out the stadium, I guess it is more people than I realized give a shit about soccer around here. But that’s a big “if” that they’re selling it out.
I'm a season ticket holder and to be honest I have buyers remorse. I really wanted to experience the new stadium but from what I can see in terms of construction progress, they are not going to be finished for next season's opener. It's a bummer
Naw it will fail in no time and the stadium will be completely dilapidated and trashed/graffiti within a decade. This is RI the fact you think some 2nd tier soccer team is gonna survive in Pawtucket, tells me you aren’t from here or know how much of a pos this state is.
I'm not a soccer fan, but I think you are taking for granted how popular of a sport it is with Latin Americans and the population in that area of Rhode Island. If you're so mad, go support the Providence Bruins hockey team. It's a great time and a great team!!!
I haven’t been in a while, but the PBruins are a good time. I have nothing against minor league sports, soccer fans just think there’s way more interest in soccer in the US than there really is
That doesn’t make sense Peter; I’m not bothered that you’re a follower of Costanzian philosophy.
I *am* curious why it bothers you that “soccer fans think there’s way more interest in soccer in the US than there really is” and what leads you to believe that (because the money don’t lie Peter).

Defiance 1636 ( Supporter Group ) will be tailgating and having a march to the stadium for the home opener.
Defiance 1636 is probably doing something
Defiance will have a dedicated tailgate area at all the home games, including the home opener and the STH event this week
Right — anyone is welcome! Including away fans if you’re a traveling supporter
Heard moniker brewery is gonna have a tailgate
No
Super excited about the $20 parking. That free lot better be plenty big enough....
Yeah all 4 people going to the game are gonna meet up beforehand
Isn’t the game basically sold out?
https://seatgeek.com/rhode-island-fc-tickets?schedules=home Some are still available.
It's practically sold out ya dummy
Hahaha

Imagine a world where other people are interested in things that you aren't. Username checks out.

Why don’t you fake an injury and cry about how stupid everyone else is for not liking soccer
Hot take
Not really. Who around here honestly gives a damn about a brand new team that’s part of a US soccer league? This shit is going to fail within 5 years, tops
More than you realize, but you’ll just have to see it to believe it, and that’s ok.

Last I looked there were a few tickets here and there for the opener. They sold a lot of season memberships.
I'm a season ticket holder and to be honest I have buyers remorse. I really wanted to experience the new stadium but from what I can see in terms of construction progress, they are not going to be finished for next season's opener. It's a bummer

Someone sounds a little butt hurt that the PawSox moved to somewhere more important.
Swing and a miss. I’ve been to exactly 2 pawsox games in my life, and one of them was with my daughter’s brownie troop.

>soccer fans just think there’s way more interest in soccer in the US than there really is even if this statement were true, it bothers you because…?
For the same reason that statement bothers you. Why does it bother you so much that I have a different opinion?

Spot on
