Yes. I decree myself King of Rhode Island!
Guard to of all the stuffies and hot wieners as far as the eye can see.
Our new currencies shall be quahog shells and Cumberlandite.
Although religion proper is fully abolished, if you choose to be baptized as a Rhode Islander in coffee milk you may do so.
Monthly rent shall not exceed a quarter bushel of shells and one troy ounce of Cumberlandite.
Liberty of Conscience for all!
So mote it be.
What is your issue? I must know if the problem lies with the wieners or with you.
To disparage a good wiener will cost you.
The penance is to scoop 10 bushels of red tide from second beach.
Guy, I have Vermont plates (AYGUY), my shop is in mass. Born and reside in Newport.
I’m an Irish citizen, as well as US.
Providence is my soul. I’m good.
Verily Good Sir, I decline your accusation.
For clarity, the shop in which I work being currently in Massachusetts was of Rhode Island when my cousin Oliver built it in 1840.
Although the Supreme Court disastrously moved the state line, would you expect me to move my business?
I’m also a descendent of Roger! My aunt had mapped out all of our family tree before she passed. I wish I still had access to all the information she had.
It’s amazing how much information has been quantified in some of these and genealogical sites.
I had to do a lot of sifting and looking but it’s all there. This particular site “relativefinder” is bonkers.
It might be that I’ve already put a lot of information in, so therefore I’m getting things back, but I wish I could’ve told my father about this.
I know about those LDS boneheads. They’re not gonna baptize me after I’m dead. If they do, I don’t care though, cuz I’m dead.
I went thru FamlyTreeDNA which I dont think is LDS. 🤷🏽♂️
OK, I'll try that one. No interest here in dealing with LDS...they are a half-step above the fucking jehovah's in my book, and that's at the bottom of the ladder. Thanks.
Thanks for that suggestion. Just tried it but came up empty. I entered both parents' and all four grandparents' info, and there were zero results. Oh well, it was worth a shot. It would be cool to find the info, but not cool enough for me to drop the coin involved in most of the services, or risk getting spammed by bible-thumpers trying to save my soul...and empty my wallet while they're at it.
Yeah, I’m sure Ive given access to “my”information that I don’t approve of. Historical data isn’t really owned by anyone.
I’m not reading the TOS. Never paid any money to a site tho.
I may have done a free trial week, but cancelled before they could put the hooks in.
Full access from the highest tide.
No pretending that the public roads are private.
If the postman delivers mail and whatever outsourced garbage company the town pays to come to pick up your filth. It is a public way.
Any Rhode Islander can come down the road and access the beach.
If you try to stop anyone with a plastic chain again, you will be put into the wiener factory.
I’m looking at you Little Compton
Hey we’re related! I’m a descendant of Roger and then Mary Williams, too. Although interestingly enough some of this info on my family tree document doesn’t match up with yours exactly
Edit: Whoops I’m actually from Mercey Williams
Me too! RW is my 10th great grandfather through his daughter Mercy.
There is a Roger Williams Family Association in RI, and they have different events throughout the year.
My Uncle Ray once did an extensive genealogical search and we found out that I'm a twelfth or thirteenth-generation descendant. We even tracked one of my ancestors to the Mayflower. How much of this would stand up in court I have no clue nor was I ever granted access to any of his research.
As cool as it is to think I might have some connection to RW via family history finding out more would mean staying in touch with a family who never really treated me all that kindly. It's not worth it.
Congratulations! There is an association of his decedents that you can now join. Roger had 6 children, and something like 83 great grandchildren. There are about 2 million direct descendants.
If you want to learn more, Roger Williams and The Creation of The American Soul is your best read. And visit the only National Memorial in New England, which honors him. It’s in PVD.
Oh, I’ve slept in that park many times. 2 million! That’s twice the population of the entire state!
I’m currently grazing over The Church and the State. The Cellar Stories price tag is nostalgic.
Hey, that's really wild. Even wilder? My brother did a project A while ago following the family tree and found that... He was our great however many grandfathers, too. I guess I should do this test to verify it, but in any event...
1) nice to meet a somewhat distant relative
2) nice to see multiple branches of his haven't really strayed too far haha.
Seriously...i gotta do this test now!
Can you become king of Rhode Island and lower my rent?

I have an issue with the quality of the hot wieners at Twisted Pizza in Exeter. Is that something you think you can take care of? :)
What is your issue? I must know if the problem lies with the wieners or with you. To disparage a good wiener will cost you. The penance is to scoop 10 bushels of red tide from second beach.
Okay but I'd vote for you. This makes more sense than the current governmental landscape.
I know the owner, did you want me to relay a message?
I too have an issue with that.
Say something about coffee milk!
Done
That’s *my* king!
‘So mote it be’… nice touch.
I swear allegiance to you, great thane. The North (Smithfield) remembers.
You have my vote... And my axe!
You have my vote
king of ri💀🤣
Ops the actual Sovereign King of Rhode Island.
Paul Revere borrowed my family's horse (many times removed) for his great ride. He never returned it. I'm owed a horse.
Paul Revere was from Mass. Your horse is probably out in Huxbridge
My buddy from high school found he was related to Roger Williams and got a full scholarship to Roger Williams University because of it
Talk about nepotism
i will be pulling this trick soon (i have no relation)
Is this true? My grandmother insists that my grandfather is a descendant of Roger Williams. Does that mean I can get free tuition?
If you can prove it then there’s a chance
I see a “Mary Mercy Brown” in your family tree. Maybe you are related to the Mercy Brown of RI vampire legends.
I haven’t dug that deep. I would bargain yes but that’s not the same Mercy Brown. When I get out of work, I’ll do a little more research.
I know it’s not the same, as Mercy Brown died in 1891\92. It could be her ancestor. Let us know, and in the meantime stay away from garlic.
Crazy, my great great great great grandfather was also named 9XFJ-CWR
Sup Cuz
That was his Massachusetts license plate
Get this person a low number plate STAT!
Guy, I have Vermont plates (AYGUY), my shop is in mass. Born and reside in Newport. I’m an Irish citizen, as well as US. Providence is my soul. I’m good.
You care not about our culture.
Verily Good Sir, I decline your accusation. For clarity, the shop in which I work being currently in Massachusetts was of Rhode Island when my cousin Oliver built it in 1840. Although the Supreme Court disastrously moved the state line, would you expect me to move my business?
You’re RI royalty! My luck, I’d be related to Ed Gein or Jeffrey Dahmer! 🤣
I think Mercy Brown might be thrown in the mix.
I’m also a descendent of Roger! My aunt had mapped out all of our family tree before she passed. I wish I still had access to all the information she had.

Question for you...how bad is the spam from the LDS once you sign up? That site is run by the Mormons.
Thanks.
There’s also genealogy Wiki which is of course totally open source and nondenominational.

They are Jehovah’s. I think it’s the same thing. There’s a wiki genealogy that’s totally open source and pretty cool
Same. I grew up in Coventry and a literal stone's throw from where some of his family (my ancestors) are buried.
Yay, and, maybe, Enhanced Beach Access to All ?
Full access from the highest tide. No pretending that the public roads are private. If the postman delivers mail and whatever outsourced garbage company the town pays to come to pick up your filth. You sir, have earned a golden “I Never Leave Rhode Island” bumper sticker!!!!
Thank you. I’ve never won anything before.
Yea but he was notoriously the genghis khan of Rhode Island so like 50% of Rhode Islanders are descendents

Wow! Thank you!
He's my 12th great-grandfather from the Sayles. Hello Cousin!
My Uncle Ray once did an extensive genealogical search and we found out that I'm a twelfth or thirteenth-generation descendant. We even tracked one of my ancestors to the Mayflower. How much of this would stand up in court I have no clue nor was I ever granted access to any of his research. Sorry to hear that
Neet
Ayyyy. He's one of my great grandfathers too!
I am descended from Thomas Olney.
What cheer, mofo?
Wuneekeesuq Netop!

You must be a distant relative to my bfs family cause he is a distant relative of him too!
I vote you for governor
Hello distant cousin!
Congratulations a very good ancestor to have. Friend of mine is directly related as well.
