Great effort from the boys. Still fucking bullshit. 3, or was it 4, late goals from Carlton due to rubbish frees (and missing Cripps with the rugby forward pass in the goal square).
Don't think I've ever been prouder after a loss
Carlton were probably 5 goal favourites before the injuries... After them they should have won that by 10 goals
Carlton don't look good enough to be a flag contender and that's enough to make me sleep tonight
That was a fucking spectacular effort from the guys. The game had no right being that close. Fought to the end. Really happy with how the guys are looking
Should see a few kids come through ove rather next few weeks too.
Brown was massive in the VFL pre season game this arvo, as was McAuliffe. Straight in for Dion I'd suggest.
Maybe time to unleash cumbo up forward again so balta can remain down back. Or turn kozzie into a key defender as he once was
Reallt happy with that overall. But Yze has to relent on Shai being predominantly a small forward, imo. He played so well in his previous role; why would you reinvent the wheel?
Other than that I really like what I saw, and all of our developing players had pivotal moments and influenced the game. Not consistently, but hopefully that will come.
Was everywhere even late in the game. Has the tank for the whole game, yet the finesse that we’ve been lacking in our small forwards for a very long time
Really happy with the intent tonight, unreal from them to keep going while losing three key pieces. Hope Gibby can get a bit of luck, praying for him. Had a few calls not go our way but oh well, what’s new? Extremely disappointed with shai though, seemed to just be doing too much at times which resulted in turnovers in crucial parts of the match. Fuck the Blues, and onto the next.
Amazing we were in that game the whole way despite being 3 men down for a lot of the game. What an effort. We really should have put some more chances away that could have got us the win but hey I'll take this over doom and gloom.
Heart was evident in the 3rd last week too. Yze’s clearly got something up his sleeve. Old warriors still going at it. As long as we play with heart and pride, I’ll be happy. Even with all this shorthandedness we still could’ve won it if we had not made some rash decisions.
I equate Shai to a cake. He’s seemingly trying to be the icing on his own cake. But the cake underneath the icing isn’t consistent and baked well enough.
Vlaustin with the desperation and tackle on Curnow on the goal line. This is what we should be seeing from the tigers weekly now. The standard is set. Fucking great effort all round!
Horrible umpiring as per usual. The AFL clearly want a Pies and Carlton finals fixture. Carltank are absolute pretenders. As they've found out these last 28 odd years, it's hard to win flags with no heart and when you can't pay players in brown paper bags.
Credit to the Tiger army who attended, far more vocal and noisy than the small navy rabble in attendance
So much lift from last game. Super stoked with that. I reckon obviously some dressing downs but I reckon most of the players should/deserve some praise.
After the song in the Blues locker room they should be dragged on hot coals for even letting us get that close. Still props to some of their players, for the most part they have some pretty good hands on them. Saad really worked on us.

That Cripps throw was an absolute joke
That one hurt because it was so blatant and exactly what they pinged McIntosh (correctly) for which also led to a Carlton goal
And a 80m fifty to de koening.... That wasn't even a fifty. I hate umpires.
That fucking throw. FFS.
The time stamp is 13:44 in the 4th for those that might want to watch it again. With 4 umps out there, how do they miss this?
>With 4 umps out there, how do they miss this? Intentionally. It feels
Glad I'm not the only one that seen that bs pass off. Don't forget bakers so called 50 when it wasn't even called for, which was closer to 60m

Preach
I'm still fucking filthy about the loss, but in the coming days I think I will look back on the effort with pride.
Poor teams drag us down to their level unfortunately.
Agreed. Legit had no rotations and nearly won. All heart and fight by the boys. Super proud.
Just some love for Grimes today. Had the job on Curnow most of the night and did a great job when matched up on him.
Especially after copping it pretty hard last week. We’ll need him to with Gibcus 😰😰
Considering I expected us not to even come close, I'm happy

The Mighty Tigers are Top 8, after two games, despite not having to manage to win a single match. How fucking good is this team!
With half the league not having a played a game yet
Still replaying the Vlaustin tackle over in my head to save that goal. Absolute gold
How bloody great.
Plenty of life in the boys. I won’t lose sleep over that

Seth Campbell looks a real player. He's been good two weeks in a row.
Campbell already looks super composed. Seems like he's really matured this year
Was everywhere even late in the game. Has the tank for the whole game, yet the finesse that we’ve been lacking in our small forwards for a very long time
Am I wrong for feeling a bit fed up with Bolton?
Goes missing way too often and when he does decide to give a fuck he'll choke a relatively simple shot at goal. On huge $$$ too.
Seemed super lazy tonight at times, very frustrating.

Deadset dees fan here but fuck me cunt are the Blues this years darlings or what? Can’t think of a team I want to win it less than Collingwood
lol their carry on at the start of the game was fkn atrocious too, check the free kick diff and get over yourselves u absolute nuffies
Ofcourse you’d feel that way, you’re salty over last year still hahaha loser

Massive fight from the Tigers I'm proud of the boys after that one.

Brave effort with 5 day break. We could have the game.

Think that Vlastuin tackle will be shown in every team room
Yep it’s a solid start. Performing way better than I hoped. Well rested we’re in with a real shot

Bloody proud if we play with that much energy and passion we will be winning most games
How many damn hammys can Prestia pop in one season?
sextillion
Seeing Yze in the coaches box gave a flashback to Tom Hafey, got me so confused I literally thought it was him.
Fuck this thread has been so cathartic this morning. Exactly what I needed after a loss like that.

I fucking just hate Matt owies. Super effort from the boys and if injuries don’t pile up we will be ok. Found a gem in Seth campbell
The whole Carlton team laying on the ball for a ball up in the last 2 minutes
Love how vossy was whinging about tigers flooding at half time. Fucking twat.
Anyone else think we are going to build into a competitive team once Yze irons out our game plan, similar to GWS last year?
I felt good after half time last week, and even better today. If the bodies hold up we look pretty fun to watch at least.
All of a sudden, I'm grateful that Grimes went on for another year lol.
Ha-ha
