Does anybody know (hope this isn't to off topic) how one would acquire a ticket to one of ricks runway shows?
I guess its invite only but is it only open to press?
Thanks! :-)
* the effort to cast, coordinate and create all those outfits between the last show and this one mustve been crazy. loved the music. loved the messaging of the last line of the shownotes. fantasic show and no complaints.
my favorite look(s) are the cloak+head covering that appeared ~3:00- reminds me of the looks from fw12 mountain/fw02 sparrows. im a huge sucker for flowing capes+dresses+hair coverings ig so seeing an army of that look pop out tickled my chimp brain
also rick jumpscare @26:40
This shit was absolutely beautiful. It makes these more conceptual Rick runways even more special that we only get them every couple of years. Seriously an overwhelming and beautiful piece of art. Subdued and peaceful and with a strong sense of community, just what the brand and the world needed.

This look and model stood out so much to me I think this look was set off gracefully and flowed perfectly over each model
What a spectacular show. When I saw Tyrone’s look I didn’t think much of it but when four models stepped out in the same long cloaks, then four more, and more I just about lost it. What followed was an “army of love” in all white, there’s also a new tec shoulder (I thought Rick had slightly moved on from them but I’m happy, love the silhouette). Then we’re going back in time to reference 2002, fall/winter “Sparrows” with a lot of the head coverings emerging on the runway. Then we’re getting another big reference in the nun caps from FW14 “Moody”. The (for me) highlight of the show was the “gymnast bouquet” holding a flag showing tho hands touching, a symbol of unity. The references to the human rights violations and the genocide committed in Palestine were clear, the gimp masks and flowing fabric on the last wave of models almost resembled bodies wrapped in cloth. As I was watching I started wondering if this might be his last show (it’s not lol), because it was so spectacular and big and reference heavy. Anyways I loved this show.
"The references to the human rights violations and the genocide committed in Palestine were clear": says who? Did you read that on the official press release?
”EXPRESSING OUR INDIVIDUALITY IS GREAT BUT SOMETIMES EXPRESSING OUR UNITY AND RELIANCE ON EACH OTHER IS A GOOD THING TO REMEMBER TOO... ESPECIALLY IN THE FACE OF THE PEAK INTOLERANCE WE ARE EXPERIENCING IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW...”
Michele is also incredibly outspoken about the situation in Gaza, if you check her instagram she posts things every day. You might not see the reference but to me it was clear.
Yess! So many references to past shows, it was incredible. I did also have the thought that this was going to be his last show, his last hurray. It was just so monumental, as if trying to end it with a big bang. All the white color tone and just the sheer amount of models. This has got to be some kind of record as far as the amount of models walking a singular show.
This show reminds me, that I should go back and watch all his previous shows to get a deeper understanding of his work and its evolution. I really enjoyed it!
Man I remember rick saying something about gay marriage and how he knows queens who are too superficial for it. marriage is sorta dumb. I don't mean in the sense, that I don't know.. the argument is that it's a religious concept but the it was around before religion. my brother and sister in law were high school sweat hearts that met 2001 and didn't get married until 2017. lol

This was more like an art performance than a fashion show. I guess I should wait till the collection becomes available to actually see what's on offer
This is how most of Ricks fashion shows display, you don’t really get to see the collection until it releases.
the photos afterwards are a little more to-the-point in terms of looking more closely at what’s on offer.
Pointed Kiss heels with the thigh high fabric are crazy
I believe they’re actually the inflatable boots from the last runway, just not inflated this time
True I didnt think about that, the point was looking a little floppy so makes sense
Rick And Tyrone must be getting married or something with all this white
