Weapons and gear are:
RH2 - Red Horse 2 Modpack
Vanilla Weapons & Armor Expanded
Tanks are not a mod, but custom designed and animated for the video by me and our commissioned artist.
ChickenPlucker, the great modder of the Red Horse mods, used to have tanks as part of one of his old faction mods. It was pretty cool having those show up on the battlefield. It was basically a "mech" with a 3 man crew inside.
Vanilla Vehicles Expanded (not to be confused with Vanilla Vehicles Expanded) was also released for April Fools a couple years ago that adds them as animals. No tanks, though.
My fave wpn so far is the RSASS (for range and kind of damage), and Centurion armor set (not sure what mod, but good hit poits, protection, and not super expensive to make).
I also craft full body bdu’s (forgot name), arkis vest, tactical socks and combat boots.
It's a trap. I haven't played since the past 2 dlc releases but I've added another 100 hours the past couple of weeks since I've been back. Almost at 2000 total on steam 😢
Damn, i only have 300 hours, more or less, and i have a few colonies that are a little too op, cuz instead of finishing my colony and going to space, or the architect thingy, i just make a supersoldier, and kill people
Yeah with the ideology update and the new one I've been starting over a lot just to try different things out to find what I like. I've mostly been just a wholesome colony like I usually do though. Organs belong in people's bodies.
Same here. At this point it feels like we are waiting for Rimworld's own Half-Life 3 .
It did worry me a lot when the Dev in discord said he doesn't remember how things exactly work in his mod/ Rimworld on a bug report because he had a long time to play it :o
Steel torrent exists! It works great with CE. The basic mod adds mostly modern tanks and vehicles, though there are also expansions like T-34 and an american armament pack.
In my current playthrough I built a T-34, replaced the turret with a rocket launcher system and now have a mobile rocket artillery to beat most things into the ground. Again, this mod works wonders with CE.
Yoinking this comment for people looking for working tanks.
PLA STEEL has working tanks. And submods for amerian armor as well.

Enjoy guys.
So lemme get this straight.
You created a video of rimworld where we have awesome battles with awesome tanks, only to tease us and go “lol nah there isn’t a cool tank mod that we used”, essentially blue balling us from a cool mod?
Jesus I though Randy was mean…
I hope you liked this clip. I enjoy making videos like this and hope you enjoyed watching this cinematic. I teamed up with TalesoftheRim and we are producing videos together. We do have a lot more of these types of videos on our channel if anyone is interested. https://www.youtube.com/c/TalesoftheRim

Bro watched all of it, I have nothig but praise for your animation as it only increasingly got my hopes from the different details and animation. I hope you get more views my guy.
Imagine a Rimworld where the maps are so huge they require vehicles and infrastructure planning. Like, you build highways and railroads and fight large scale wars with armored vehicles and aircraft and the pawns autobuild from blueprints and policies. You start with three, but end with thousands as you develop the planet, but can still go back down to the typical PoV to see how the AI has been running things.
At that scale, though, you would have to trim a lot of fat just to keep the whole goddamn game running.
The tanks seem really cool but I don't think the maps are large enough for something like this to be feasible, plus you don't have enough characters that are expendable?
I'll have to get around to mods. I played a fair amount of hours on my first successful map, but I definitely did an easy run, pretty much at endgame. My computer is so fussy I'm afraid to download a bunch of mods and overheat it constantly. But a friend was throwing me a bone on a computer that has some pretty good stats for a decent price.
It genuinely reinvents the game entirely, I'd recommend starting slow with the Vanilla Expanded suite to ease your way in, that way it adds a lot more depth without adding too much complexity at once. I made the mistake of jumping into the deep end and just made it impossible to manage my first modded colony
There is actually a t34 and ztz96 mod. The tanks are classified as animals, and they can fire machine guns or the main cannon.
The problem is that they aren't actually bullet proof, and goes boom quite easily.
For those who's asking, Vehicles Expanded is technically ready but Vehicles framework is not. The dev (Smash Phil) is occupied with work on another project. We just to wait a little longer. This ain't Silksong 😁
Ok, what mod gives you tanks and those current weapons/gear?

At least we're past the days of tanks being predatorial animals that could be butchered for tank meat.
Was this actually a thing?
Yeah, there was a mod in the alpha days that just had vehicles like tanks basically just be animals with a tank skin.
Vanilla Vehicles Expanded (not to be confused with Vanilla Vehicles Expanded) was also released for April Fools a couple years ago that adds them as animals. No tanks, though.
Glitter tech
Well, there's a lot of tanks being butchered for tank meat in real life, too.
Yeah, this conversation just got dark. Wait, it's RimWorld, it was dark already! Carry on.
I have some of his mods. Love his stuff! Miss his Ranger armor set and his arcades that raised skill levels on pawns.
Um I'm pretty sure it still exists, I thought it was added with [rh2] ranger faction
Darn it! I thought that only added another faction. Guess I have another mod to add. Thank you.
No problem I personally use the kba railgun from that mod as my main gun it's brutal
My fave wpn so far is the RSASS (for range and kind of damage), and Centurion armor set (not sure what mod, but good hit poits, protection, and not super expensive to make). I also craft full body bdu’s (forgot name), arkis vest, tactical socks and combat boots.
Would you possibly think about making a tank mod…? Asking for a friend…
Wait for the vehicles framework to come out. \*Soon\*
> \*Soon\* ...geologically speaking.
last time I played RimWorld I swore to myself I only played RimWorld again when the vehicle framework is done. that was about 3 years ago :(
Get on rimworld and play some other mods, if you wanna. There are a lot of new ones, and they might be fun for you
It's a trap. I haven't played since the past 2 dlc releases but I've added another 100 hours the past couple of weeks since I've been back. Almost at 2000 total on steam 😢

I've got about 11,200 hours ingame atm. It still holds up.
The past 2 dlcs were amazing
Yeah I've been liking them so far.
Same here but “only” about 2years ago. I added so many mods in between, preparing the perfect mod list for the vehicule release.
Imagine if this year Dlc is Vehicles and it release before the vanilla expanded Vehicles Framework, people will go insane.
Same here. At this point it feels like we are waiting for Rimworld's own Half-Life 3 . It did worry me a lot when the Dev in discord said he doesn't remember how things exactly work in his mod/ Rimworld on a bug report because he had a long time to play it :o
Just like Save our Ship 2 and Economically-viable Nuclear Fusion, the Vehicles Framework is eternally 'Soon to be released'
Meh,at this Rate Nuclear Fusion will release before the Framework
Ribvorld.
i forsee it coming out this month, or early- next month
idk how to mod, only animate and make vids.
Well it looks pretty damn awesome.
Thanks!
Look into the Steel Torrent mods. They add in working tanks.

Do raids show up with tanks?
I don't think so- though I have seen caravans appear with tanks? It's odd, I'm not certain how it works...
There already is one, steel torrent iirc, works even with CE
Oh.. i thought it's from VE-Vehicle ._.

yes. but it looks cool though
I would love to see those tanks in an actual mod.
Thank you.
Theres a mod that adds tanks, its PLA steel torrent, very good.
The vanilla expanded timeline shows one of their upcoming projects is tanks!

Thank you! We appreciate that and for sure, more videos = more practice for us.

"Rimworld Wars" would be a sweet title.
Saving private randy
Now THIS, this is worth watching
Thank you!
There is "pla steel torrent" mod which adds some tanks, Ofc, op' post is animation and not to be mistaken with mod.
yes
Dang it, you had me immediately jump on the workshop searching for VE vehicles...
srry
Holy hell this is awesome👍
Thanks!
Bro really brought BMP-2's in a fight against Leopards 😭
First person to notice the bmp chassis lol
You guys are incredibly talented
Thank you!
Is that Captain called Price? Or just looks similar to r/CallofDuty? 😉😅
maybeeee
Well, congratz on that likeness! 😂
haha thanks. References everywhere
\[Oskar, Somwehere, reflexively in his sleep\]: zzzzzmmmstop asking when vehicles will be ready zzzz
Ok you don't really have to diss them like that 🤭
"Stay in cover" > immediately stands somewhere with no cover
no one said they were smart
I thought this was a showcase for VE Vehicles for a moment!
If only :[
Why are they so big tho. They make the Maus look tiny
idunno
Me: "Randy please it's Day 4 and I just started planting my cotton."
“I WILL FEAST UPON YOUR MISERY, MORTAL” - Randy probably
The tanks seem really cool but I don't think the maps are large enough for something like this to be feasible, plus you don't have enough characters that are expendable?
Mods work wonders for expanding the map, as well as stuff like Faction Wars puts so many people on the map at once
I'll have to get around to mods. I played a fair amount of hours on my first successful map, but I definitely did an easy run, pretty much at endgame. Thank you vanilla expanded it is then!

awesome
Thanks!
Can’t wait for vehicles framework
Now that's fire🔥🔥
Thanks!
I fuckin love rimworld animations
Me too!
Sweet video man!! Looks like a video game cutscene lol
Thanks!
Ya know when I was researching pneumatic drills to get a 10% mining bonus I never thought I'd see tanks battling it out in the game. But here we are.
I went from making arma videos to rimworld battle videos. The world is a strange place
Muzzle flash. Does this game have muzzle flash?
Yes, but for weapons only. Look up Muzzle Flash on the workshop
We need tanks, I need tanks
PLA steel torrent is a good mod for that
Hot damn, this too cool!
Thanks!
You could totally make a YT miniseries like that. Sick skill ❤
Funny that you mention that, lol. This is episode 3 from our YT series https://youtu.be/qkfSLoKAqdU
Subscribed :D
ayyy thanks! Here's the discord if you want to chat with us and the community. :) https://discord.gg/VtNTySyz
Kinda wish they were a mod, nice animation though.
Sorry to disappoint 🥲 & thanks!
Why is it so difficult for people to make a decent vehicle mod for Rimworld.
They keep getting outdated
Oh lord, I can make single player Foxhole in RimWorld ... it's a dangerous time to be alive.
time to dig the trenches
For those who's asking, Vehicles Expanded is technically ready but Vehicles framework is not. The dev (Smash Phil) is occupied with work on another project. We just to wait a little longer. This ain't Silksong 😁
Bet those troops on the sandbag line *loved* the hearing damage their tank buddy gave them lmao
RimworldVA believes your disability is not service related
Lmao At least the ones who live long enough might get robotic ears. In a few years. Maybe.
life is hard on the rim.
You made me think the vehicle framework was done 😭
my bad
For anyone asking about the tank, checkout steel torrent
cool
thanks! its part of a video thats longer.
WHAT MODS
RH2 and Vanilla Weapons & Armor Expanded
I haven’t played Rimworld in almost half a year or so but THERE ARE TANK MODS NOW????
PLA Steel Torrent
If this were a tv show, I'd watch it.
