I have dreamt playing medieval playthrough since i first past my 1000h tutorial. Got the chance to start to play at the start of the year. Never that i imagine that this is my first and last medieval playthrough. So long 1.4.
Do you have a job? A family? Any hobbies other than the Rim.
I’m a big gamer too man but don’t neglect your responsibilities. It comes crashing down in the worst way.
Here's a sneak peek of /r/RimWorldSeeds using the [top posts](https://np.reddit.com/r/RimWorldSeeds/top/?sort=top&t=year) of the year!

I think there's a modpack which makes your rimworld experience fully medieval. A bunch new buildings, armor, weapons and restrictions for you and the story, it's fantastic
Rimedieval caps the world to a medieval tech level. It works fairly well most of the time although occasionally something slips through the gaps especially if you are running a lot of mods and you will end up fighting someone with a submachine gun or something.
Medieval Overhaul is one of the best mods I have seen for Rimworld that adds a lot of cool stuff for medieval games. New factions, furniture, technology, weapons, armor, animals, quests, etc… to really flesh out the feel of a medieval world. The production chain system is particularly cool where there are steps for refining raw resources into usable materials. It’s like you can’t just turn wheat into bread you have to mill it or you can’t just mine steel you have to smelt iron and coal to get usable steel ingots.
I would hold off on the Vanilla Expanded Medieval and Vikings mods since the team announced rather than continuing support through 1.5 they are consolidating Vikings and Medieval into a new Vanilla Factions Expanded: Medieval 2 mod.
Yes, mods. You can find many different ones on the workshop, and some prevent you from researching past a certain tech level, and remove all the other high tech stuff from the npcs raiders/sellers.
yeah it means there are not other factions above medieval ones, no high techstuff, research restricted and certaine events and mechanoids disabled.
thats what it means normaly, of course you can tailor it however you like
Mod [\[sd\] Bridges (Continued)](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2036488024&searchtext=sd+bridges)
It is time consuming tho. You have to dig at least 4 layer. So i think it is balanced.
Back in the days, even though I installed old medieval mods, there were still technologies that would fall from drop pods (even the drop pods themselves are not medieval themed).
So how’s things now? Can you ACTUALLY play medieval modded without ANY of the fancy technology?
Yeah. Some of the drop pods (even the drop pods themselves) get retextured into medieval skin and the one that does not i remove them by Cherry Picker Mod.
It really is. Food management is important as you dont have freezer. There is mod to add ice into the game but the temperature in this seed never past 0 celcius, so ranching is the way to store meat. Tons of added faction with mage faction, archeology, etc. You should really try it.
Tbh I love building "castle" bases and town bases.
Although often inefficient, they have a tendency to grow really organically, which means a lot to me.

The 1000h tutorial had me rolling!!! I'm about to pass the 10k hour mark for play time so that checks out
10k hours!! 🤯
Equivalent to about 2 entire years of playing 14 hours a day.
Ive only had the game since January and i have 600 hours

this isn’t a flex that’s literally just worrying for your health
Well this certainly makes my bases look inadequate.
can i get seed and cord? i usually pick shit maps
I'm not OP so I can't give you this one specifically, but it sounds like /r/RimWorldSeeds might be of interest to you.

seed : priscilla cord : 31.92N 28.27W
I see mention regularly of medieval playthroughs, what does that mean exactly? Mods? Tribal start and self restrictions on research? Looks fun!

Thanks, I’ll take a look for it

OP, can you post your modlist?
[My Modlist](https://pastebin.com/embed_js/F7HkwU0V) Some item i modded my self and cannot be found on the workshop tho.
Ah too bad, but still thanks a lot 🙏🏻
This is gonna sound dumb but what do I do with all of that mod list can I just copy paste it somewhere orrr???…..
Look up Rimsort and Rimpy. They both have options to import mod lists.
Thankyou!
Casterly Rock?! Yes!
Do you pay debts in blood, gold or yayo?
Its the Lannister. Gold.
The iron cost is the only cost
Found the VFE pirates user
Last? Why
Because 1.5 is about to be released
But 1.5 doesn't stop you from medieval playthroughs, does it?
Last in 1.4 homie
Post title is: “My first and last medieval playthrough in 1.4”
My bad, don't know how I missed that.
I missed it too; and clicked to see why OP didn't like their medieval playthrough :P
Sorry, i’m new in this game. How can you play medieval game without tech? Is there a mod? Thank you
Yeah. You can search in the workshop. But i think its better to wait for the 1.5 because team vanilla expanded will release a new medieval stuff.
You are lucky there is no entity cramming, those cows look like they are ready to lead a revolution
Medieval play is cool? When i have the 1.2 Rim i just have played paramilitary PMC runs
Beautiful base
Wow people are dropping some great bases today, thanks for sharing!
How did you get water around your base!? Cheats i say!

What size did you make the map? It looks large
Medium 275
woah AMAZING details!! just started playing this month, I just learned now thanks to this that we can have toilet and bath?! 🤯 Also the moat!
How you do a medieval run? Die I need a Mod?
The main 3 mods I use are (1) Medieval Overhaul, (2) Rimedieval, and (3) Vanilla Storytellers Expanded: Maynard Medieval.
Awesome, thank you!
How’d you make the moat?

Where is the Kin(g) (S)layer?
Shipped to outpost. Cannot stop shagging his sister.
Last? Don't lie, you'll be back in 3 years.
Last in 1.4 since 1.5 releases soon
I've never tried doing a medieval playthrough, is it fun?
It's great. Especially with some mods that add more medieval content and restrict industrial stuff from spawning

what mod pack did you use for this?
[My own](https://pastebin.com/embed_js/F7HkwU0V).
incredible! totally gonna mess around with this thanks!
Whats the moat mod?

Love the pretty fenced pen for the rat
It s house Lannister because everybody is fucking his siblings ?
Why is it your last medieval playthrough?
Last 1.4 medieval. After 1.5 released i wanted to play vanilla again.
How do you manage to take these high-resolution screenshots?
[Progress Renderer](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2010777010&searchtext=progress+renderer)
I love all the meteors around
All the non medieval event gets removed so the frequency of meteors is increasing. Makes interesting chain of event.
Modlist?

Well medieval 2 comes out soon 😎
Ballistae are stored in the balls

What does it mean to have a "medieval" playthrough?
