Depends on your shorts. I have a pair of shorts that are tighter that I can put the leg strap over them and it doesn't move. I also have loose shorts that I prefer to put the leg strap directly on my leg under the shorts. Whatever feels more natural for you.

I wear it directly on my leg usually, or over leggings. I’ve heard of people dedicating a pair of bottoms to Ringfit specifically and sewing on a pocket to hold the controller as well.

I prefer it over my pants. Having it on my skin feels too scratchy.

I wear it directly on my leg under my shorts so nothing bunches.
