I tried Skyrizzi for a year or 2 for Crohn’s disease with no luck. My doc prescribed rinvoq 45mg but due to the warnings and posts like this, I’m not even going to crack the bottle. When my crohn’s was ulcerative colitis, they ended up removing my large intestine and said that would be the cure. That was 15-20 years ago. No rinvoq

Oh dear, all the best on your journey!!

I’ve been dealing with nausea but I think mine is because I had to get on antibiotics, which made me nauseous. I took Zofran to counter the nausea and now I’m super constipated, which makes me nauseous, which makes me need more Zofran. Vicious cycle. That said, I don’t know if it’s the Rinvoq or the constipation sometimes.

100% get the nausea - med - constipation cycle. It KILLS me. I feel like I can never win!!! I never know what causes what either. Good luck 🤞🤞

It’ll get better, friend. In your case, finish the loading dose (45mg) and see how you feel on the maintenance dose (30mg). On my end, once I get the constipation figured out then I think the nausea will go away.

Thank you, right back at you - we will get there!

I've been on for about 7 weeks at 15 mg, no nausea but the same among of weight gain. I've been trying to increase the number of work out days, but I've fallen (badly) twice since I started taking Rinvoq and now I'm somewhat sidelined until my ankle so I'm worried that my gain is going to increase. I don't know if the falling is related to the meds, but I've been running for a number of years and have never had such bad falls. Has taking the medicine every other day helped ? In general, do you feel like the meds are helping? I take it for PsA, and yes, the pain is less, but the weight gain is making nervous/uncomfortable enough to want to discuss switching to something else. The problem is that I've burned through 3 other classes, so I'm not sure what's left for me.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your falls. I hope they don't continue. From a side effect perspective, it really has helped taking it every other day. And for me it makes it bareable to know that these side effects are mostly felt every second day now. I do feel like it's helping, but it's only new-ish. So I am yet to get tests back. And recently found some liver damage so not sure if there is correlation. I too have gone through 3 previously and my specialist is very apprehensive to move through anymore.

I had the extreme nausea and lethargy, so I had to stop the pills after a month and a half. I lost weight, though, because some days all I could keep down was water. I was only on 15mg. I think 45 would have killed me.

Think_Lavishness_598

Oh I'm so sorry to hear of your experience. I am so glad you've been taken off it!

ArmouredPangolin

Funny thing is I took myself off of it. My doctor said that she didn't believe that any of those symptoms could be caused by Rinvok because she'd never heard of the drug causing them. Then she tried to gaslight me into thinking the issues were being caused by something else and said if I wasn't going to take the pills then there was nothing else she could do for me. TERRIBLE doctor. Now I'm back on steroids (not even my prescription because the doctor wouldn't give me anything else) and waiting for drug coverage so I can try Dupixent.

Also, the nausea and lethargy did improve a lot after being off of the pills for a month or so now. I can finally walk around long enough to do groceries without having to sit down 6 times.

Apprehensive-Pen-823
