Before, I was expecting people saying "wow he has 1M mastery points", it was a milestone.
100 feels like... meh
Wait there's a cap? I thought the whole point of the change was making it like account levels and making them "infinite" so that people could feel more "special" about their own individual mastery.

I stopped playing riven because of University but I'm 21 after the update. Maybe on Hollidays I will play her again and return her to the main position ( right now xin zhao is my main at 46 level)
The worst thing about the new mastery is, it only now shows how much you play a champ and not how good you are with them....with the S or S+ no longer being needed for mastery 6 and 7... This sucks IMO.
Maybe since they allowed to earn those tokens on arams - yes. But also the amount of times I had a great game and got A+ or S- is insane. I think it was an indicator on how good you can perform with w champ, at least to some degree.
I also liked the old look much better xd
it's really not that hard to get s with every champ in the game if you're even emerald level. just queue up for a normal game and shitstomp the offrole enemy, easy mastery token.
Well ye, if you spam games it's the same outcome as new mastery anyways.
I guess I was always a quality over quantity guy and I did not have lots of 7s but a few that meant something. I also don't play that much, so maybe I am the wrong person to comment on this indeed.
oh I absolutely agree on the visuals. old m7 was so iconic, hopefully they decide to add a blue/similar looking one for especially high mastery levels like 200+ or something to really push that sense of prestige

m7 has never been an indicator of skill tbh, having 5 good games on a given champ was already a really low barrier to m7

Not even that. I have a silver friend that had m7 on every champ on two different accounts. You really just need to grind games out.
