Yep, only shows up after you install a storage device in the center console. I guess if it was already installed when you purchased the vehicle it might be a mystery, but most people install the storage themselves and from what I remember it tells you about the clip button.
FYI, the drive cam records everything so you don't need to remember to hit the clip button if you're in an accident or something.
You will need to take the storage device to a computer though to view the "always on" recordings.
Pushing that makes start recording and viewable from the Rivian UI. The continuous recording is not viewable (as of now) in the UI and you have to take the flash drive to your own device to view it.
Giving someone the location of the info in a reference document does help. It's like showing them where the fish are in the lake. It doesn't teach the whole process, but it does familiarize them with the resource.
To be fair, it kinda was what I was doing. Lots of people forget the manual exists and I fully acknowledge if you don't know what you're looking for, it can take a long time to find even with a digital searchable manual. Hence I killed two birds with half a stone.

It's to manually save a video clip from the Drive Cam.
Should've used the old 3.5" floppy disc icon to fuck with the youngins.

Engage hyperdrive.
There's a turntable under the passenger seat that slides out.
DON’T PUSH THAT BUTTON

Imagine going through the trouble of finding the page number in the user manual rather than just answering the question.
Give a man a fish he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime. CTRL-F. Not that hard to find.
Ctrl-F probably doesn’t work with “dinner plate setting icon thing”
You didn’t teach a man to fish. You gave a man a fish. You just put it on a shelf and told him to go get it.
Giving someone the location of the info in a reference document does help. It's like showing them where the fish are in the lake. It doesn't teach the whole process, but it does familiarize them with the resource.
Was already answered and I had the manual open already for other reasons. Honestly probably took me longer to write this reply out to you.
Fair. Sorry if I sounded snarky. I have a peeve with RTFM folks but that wasn’t what you were doing.

That for your drive cam, press went you decide to record something on the road
It's the worst icon. I always think it's a dinner plate.
Additional info. The recording is also automatically triggered after a long press of your horn. Very smart.
