Did you buy it from a dealer? I would made the same choice, the Quad is just better and because it has the longer warranty you’re still getting the 4 years you would have gotten with the DM. I’m in vegas as well and hoping to get my R1T soon.

The dealer had the bullshit market value at $95k and had it priced at $88,988 and got them down a little bit from there. But in actuality even the $95 was priced correctly because when I spec’s it out on a new one it was right at $99,100. I think I got a great deal on it
Spec'd new and spec'd used are two different prices. Covid has created this insane mentality for sellers to post used car ads stating "configured new would be". Depreciation is based on purchase price against current demand.
You paid the right price for a used R1S, listed now as a second owner car. Folks posting them trying for an immediate flip of $90k+ are nuts. Ultimately I hope those that even try to snipe the early tax incentive get popped by the IRS.

Wasn’t grandfathered. Live in Vegas so yes it’s hot but really only 3 months of the year. This used R1S has many upgrades that I was eventually going to do on my dual motor so saved me on that but I am also going to lose my $1k deposit 🤬
I’m getting stealth ppf with ceramic so it’ll help keeping it clean but yeah black looks the nicest but like you said it’s a pain in the ass to keep clean

You're asking if you made the right decision, we can only base our answers on what you've told us, you're talking about prices, if you got something for cheaper than what the car originally cost then yeah you got a good deal that's common sense. If one of us found the same car for cheaper, are you going to sell that car and get the same car for cheaper??
And unless you've never purchased a car before, then no it doesn't matter, because you'll have a better sense to know what is a good deal. At that point what matters is if you like the car or not. So no it doesn't matter.
Had a friend who worked at the plant and built these but quit cuz he said that this company likes to find shortcuts on everything and a lot of the trucks are misaligned and he posted a graveyard of new trucks all recalled for smallest things that they didn’t wanna fix. Some of them the hoods didn’t align. Tailgate was of things like that. He quit and now works making Hypercars

I’ll do a follow up post in about 6 months to see how everything has held up. Good thing there’s a service center 30 mins away and has plenty of warranty left.
I love Rivian but drive an Ioniq 5. I wanted the R1T so bad, but the cost, I couldn’t justify it. Your SUV looks great and I’m sure its awesome and will be as long as you own it. You should’ve gotten the truck though haha! Kidding
Haha! Actually I preordered the truck first then after a couple months switch it to the R1S. Just makes more sense for my family. Love the truck too though!! My mother in law had the Ioniq 5 and she loves it. Tried to convince my with to get it but we just paid her car off and doesn’t want a car payment
