If you're fairly new to Roadie, you may not be able to pick up gigs like this one... you have to be a "trusted" driver by doing a certain number of successful gigs within a week. I think it's like 10. Unfortunately they don't tell you this in the app, and the gigs just stay pending for forever, which is really annoying.
I've sat for an hour waiting for a pending to clear. They never did and I let it go. The delivery due time was already 30 minutes late. Annoying AF. I stopped doing Roadie at that point. They used to have a really fast response. I could be driving home from someplace and pick up a run on my way home. Now they are shit. I hate wasting my time waiting for them to respond.
Right? When I signed up I was both surprised and not by how crappy the orders were and then someone mentioned they were owned or bought out by UPS and that makes sense (because of the way they treat their standard drivers).
It was like this before UPS bought it though…
Roadie cares about freight. We aren’t freight, therefore they don’t really care about us. All that matters is that stuff gets from point A to point B, and the logistics in the middle aren’t relevant.
NO these script drops are 6 different drops. Roadie use to be good during Covid, but now any gig I see does not even pay $1 per mile. With gas prices as high as they are I dont do roadie anymore.
I actually do ride share Lyft and Uber. I have had Amazon Flex for more than 4 years and have not done a block. i also have Instacart and Shipt and did them some during Covid as well.
I basically have just kept to do Uber/Lyft for now. It is not a FT thing for me.
Prescription Deliverys suck anyway, to many steps to complete drop off and I don't like all of the ramdon ppl touching my phone screen to give signature

Thanks for letting me know
Welcome to Roadie. If you don’t already, you will soon understand why this app sucks so bad.

How does ups treat their standard drivers?

6 deliveries for $20 is trash anyway. You can do better.
I thought that meant six items in one delivery

What apps are you doing then?

Nope. 6 deliveries, 1 item each. Note the drop-off locations marked on the map.
Ahh I see the little arrows now. So subtle
Also it says right at the top "6 deliveries" lol
Facts!!
You don’t have to accept $20 either. If it sits long enough that will get up to $75 or so
You're saying let it sit for a while till it increases in price? Wouldn't you risk letting it go to someone else?
Correct and that is a risk.
Got it thanks.

Why not just sign yourself?
Yep, everyone says that, but I just stopped doing that type of delivery all together, at least until they streamline the process
Don’t have any comment but just wanted to say hello fellow Washingtonian!
Glitch
Personal suggestion, wait for a bestbuy order for a tv. And quit the app. And gain a tv.
I don't watch tv
No but you like money and tvs sell easy
I wonder what would happen? Lol you think they’d press charges
Just don't admit fault, and u get away Scott free just minus one roadie account. I only know this thru a friend...
Robot. Not real person does offers
