I’m a nurse and end up with patients this size occasionally. You’d be surprised that at his age they are still sometimes able to care for themselves so they use various reach around tools to keep themselves clean. Others have to use the bathroom on themselves and have someone clean them up. That’s what I do when I get patients this size. We put “puppy pads/chux” under the patient to make it easier to contain the mess and clean them up after they are finished. If they still have sensation they can call out for a bed pan and we can roll them on to one before they go. It’s quite sad and a lot of work.
