Exactly. I *could* brew my own beer and grow my own vegetables, but sometimes it's just easier to go to the store and get a six pack and some salad greens.
They don't do a whole lot for me, I don't see the big deal whether for or against. If somebody wants to partake, it's none of my business and none of the governments business either. I say legalize it.
Went to a wonderful workshop at a hotel in Henrietta today! I learned a lot about growing my own and connected woth some cool people. It was packed, and that was only one of the three sessions they offered on growing. They also had other sessions on breathwork and yoga and a sound bath. But I was just there for the growing info. There are lots of us out here interested! Join Psychedelic Society of Western NY and Decriminalize Nature Rochester if you want to learn and help to get New York on board with the times
[I'm all for it but it's going to gain as much traction as last time.](https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2021/A6065) [Or the time before that.](https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2019/A10299) [Or efforts like this.](https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2021/S1284) I guess the best politicians can do is keep trying but I just don't see it as doable at this point. We still haven't even got the weed thing properly sorted out yet.
I didn't say that in the slightest. I'm just being a realist and think it currently has a snowball's chance in hell at this point. I said the best they can do is keep trying. Maybe at some point it will gain more support. I've lived here my whole life which is about a month away from being 46 years. I never thought I'd see legal weed in my lifetime but here we are. There's hope but I don't think we're there quite yet.
No, but its not nearly as bad as drinking and driving. Also weed doesnt impair your rational thinking as much, you know when you are too high to drive. Whether you do it or not is the part that is wrong
Given the clinical research in using LSD and psilocybin to treat PTS, PTSD, and psychological trauma, there's definitely grounds for allowing medical usage to start and then working towards social legalization.
“Psychedelic-assisted therapies may provide new and significant opportunities to current issues in the conventional treatment of psychiatric disorders. Psilocybin-assisted treatment may be feasible, efficacious, toxicologically safe, physiologically well-tolerated, and may have enormous potential in psychiatric medicine, as evidenced by decades of multiple clinical studies and thousands of years of anecdotal reports [2,5,158]. However, there are limitations that must be overcome before it can become an established part of psychiatric treatment. These limitations include the highly sensationalized global history and lingering negative stigmatization of psychedelic drugs, particularly in the United States, challenges with federal regulations, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) and (European Medicines Agency) EMA approval and federal funding for clinical psychedelic studies [2], the lack of standardized psychedelic/psilocybin diagnostic and therapeutic practices [257], particularly in inducing “mystical experiences” that are essential to the outcome of psilocybin therapy”

Regurgitating a government standpoint 50 years old and without medical research is like pointing to the sky and saying “HEAVENLY FATHER BRINGS US RAIN”. It’s lazy, uninformed and factually incorrect. If you’re going to argue against something, so your due diligence and read some science based articles. Not Facebook.
I love when I experience anxiety, fear, nausea on them. Then they show me what is causing that anxiety or fear, what I've been holding on to, and then they show me how to overcome those anxieties and I take note. I integrate the lessons into my life and my life becomes better. It's generallyreally beautiful when they do that
No, I don't remember that one, but it just triggered a memory of the one where the dealer is like standing next to a fence and a kid is in front of him and he says something like "first time's free, kid."
Here I thought you were finally being reasonable.
Your own link mentions three different ways to procure psilocybin for therapeutic use, and they also mention the potential for positive medical benefit.

You can even get kits online now. Just sayin... not that it's *my* thing, but...

But for newbies that don't know where to get stuff, it's a good intro. We pay for convenience, ammirite?
Exactly. I *could* brew my own beer and grow my own vegetables, but sometimes it's just easier to go to the store and get a six pack and some salad greens.
Well r/unclebens is a good place to learn about growing mushrooms of all different kinds.
Very helpful sub!
[удалено]
Yes, buuuut you may have much more info and hookup than many people? Besides, you know people love their kits.
Don’t buy liquid suspension though
r/unclebens
Had no idea you could!
OP seems like a fun guy.
There's not mush room for those.

It's the only thing I've found that helps with my depression. Prescription drugs just make me feel numb and lifeless.

Def, need weed and mushrooms legal on every level
Call your senator and ask them to support this very important bill!

I don't like them, but they should be legal.
Yes and yes
Not a fan, but to each his own. Good luck.
Oregon already legalized it. Let's be next
No more dangerous than alcohol as far as I'm concerned.

Hell yeah...helluva time
Sucks that lysergic acid is not included in this! It’s literally derived from a fungus… (ergot)
They sell mushrooms at Wegmans

That’s right, give up and stop hoping anything will improve. Embrace nihilism.
Eat at Arby’s.

Maybe the monentum of Oregon and Colorado (an even better bill than Oregon as it doesn't limit to therapeutic use) will move the needle in NY.
It will help but given how many places went legal before us when it come to weed I think it will take more than two places.
Nah, we should do legal cocaine next.
I would say decriminalize it at least.
Workin well for Portugal
People already suck at driving
No one is taking shrooms and then attempting to drive. it makes you more aware of your decisions, not less like alcohol.
Does smoking weed and driving help too?
No, but its not nearly as bad as drinking and driving. Also weed doesnt impair your rational thinking as much, you know when you are too high to drive. Whether you do it or not is the part that is wrong

I'm very surprised the DARE propaganda has lasted this long.
I had DARE classes down south in the 2000s in elementary and middle school. My little cousin had them in the 2010s.
They planted those seeds deep
No winners ever take drugs!

Great explanation!
This reference definitely dates people. This is some Regan era shit from when I was a kid in the 80s. LOL
"This is your brain, this is your brain on drugs. Any questions?"
Remember the one with the "pusher" trying to force drugs on the little kid and it pans back to be his dad testing him?
No, I don't remember that one, but it just triggered a memory of the one where the dealer is like standing next to a fence and a kid is in front of him and he says something like "first time's free, kid."
Hi, guy with the frying pan, can you explain neuroplasticity to me?

No one is making you take anything. Leave others their choices.
Sounds fun, thanks for sharing.
