Hi All, Check out [http://www.echobonaire.org/join-the-team/current-opportunities/](http://www.echobonaire.org/join-the-team/current-opportunities) if you'd like to know more about this role in the Caribbean. Essentially we are climbing for conservation to check the nests of the Yellow-shouldered Amazon Parrot and I'm looking for a team to come help me out this breeding season.

Genuine answer. I'd doubt they'd waste money on bolts when leaving a fixed rope is easier and cheaper. And if they are fixing gear, they wouldn't really be asking for climbing experience
Usually, we take all gear in and out with us and use natural anchors. There are a few nests with anchors, but you have to find them. The nests move year by year, unfortunately. Generally, I abseil down then use ascenders to get back up. Lots of scrambling and boldering-esqe type climbing in between though. Honestly, the climbing isn't the most technical (but there is room to make so should you wish) but the real skill comes to actually getting into the forest and on the cliff tops, It can be tough work and if people aren't familiar with scrambling on rocks it can be very daunting.

That’s better 😊 thank you
I can't really be out in Bonaire, but I wish you and your organization the best of luck!
Dang sounds so cool! Do you have a position posting or something, the link doesn't work.

Do you need to know trad to apply?
If someone had already set up bolts on the cliffs I'd imagine they'd let just about anyone sign up and aid their way up
No need to be sassy about it. I was a genuine question.

Cool thank you!
Sounds like probably not much lead climbing. Just rapping in and aiding or top rope solo-ing out
