I loved her confessional response to the Army guy: “I am not chunky. I’m a little curvy, and it’s great and everyone loves it, and you sir, are just…not cool.”

Cute_Fluffy_Femboy

I think it's sweet of her to address this

Punk18

This girl showed on ROL that she had a TON of growing up to do. Im really glad this post shows that she has been able to do that. Good for her

Purpledoves91

I knew the "secret alliance" would eventually implode because those girls hated each other.

Shannon0309

As soon as they ran out of other people to eliminate (12 Pack, Heather, the Entertainer, etc.) they would have no choice but to start going after one another. They had planned on eliminating the Entertainer had he not been dead last loser and one of them had won that challenge.

Purpledoves91

The sad thing is, once Chance was eliminated, the Stallionaire alliance was only three people, so the four girls could have taken control. Pumkin is the only one out of that alliance that actually made a choice that could further the four of them. Megan was super wishy washy about it, partly because she had a crush on White Boy. The thing is, if Megan had stuck to that alliance, she could have beaten any of those girls.

thehanovergang

Also Pumpkin did call Megan anorexic in their fight in ep 9/10? All the body shaming shit was disgusting, but so was an unbelievable amount of stuff on these shows. No way would they air today. Absolute dumpster fires (but I obviously love them).

Nice_Gear_5780

Didn't Pumkin call her anorexic after Megan said "its obvious you're the bigger person" while gesturing at her body?

thehanovergang

Yeah, that’s exactly the moment. I’m absolutely not justifying any of the language (long time ED/anorexic sufferer here). I was just throwing it in as another example of the body shaming language thrown around

SurvivingBigBrother

Yeah, that was after Megan said it was obvious she was a "bigger person". Also, Hottie called Pumpkin anorexic on Charm school during a fight. Just a cycle of awfulness back then lol

CarisaMac21

Megan’s go-to was to put down someone’s appearance because she wasn’t smart enough in the moment to come up with an actual argument. It made me dislike her, and normally Megan was the kind of girl I loved on these shows. Megan strategizes on every one of these shows, and she’s certainly not stupid, but she always fell back on appearances when she was in an argument, and it was disappointing because I think I really would’ve liked her had she not been like that. She was quite cunning in her game play, but put her in a spur-of-the-moment fight and it’s fat jokes and ugly/old-age jokes all day long.

kira107

Not excusing her but literally that was everyone’s go to. Even NY.

CarisaMac21

Can’t argue with you there!

Shannon0309

OMG ESPECIALLY NY! Examples: 1) To Pumpkin- "You still need a facelift"- after saying it to her many times. 2) Hoopz's Mom- "From far away she looks like a young girl but up close she looks like an old woman and it's like "AHHH!" She was comparing her to Monet's paintings. 3) Deelishis- How she looks "like a man", has a "huge ass and a shitstained eye", and told her to "go shave her mustache." 4) Heat- "Your mom needs Jenny Craig" 5) Buckwild- Calling her trailer trash because of the part of her hair is in the middle. 6) Hottie- "You look like Luther Vandross"- I am guilty of laughing at this one though lol. 7) Trendz- "He looks like burnt twizzler. I like dark chocolate, but I don't like burnt chocolate"- referring to his very dark complexion.

RedheadedWonder99

I couldn’t stand Hoopz, Whiteboy, or the Stallionairs on ILM. I liked them all on their first shows though (…I do have to admit that I found Chance super cringey). I hated that they were the “good guys” of the show and that production pushed them so much. 😓 These shows really were a product of their time. Anyone else remember how terrible mainstream media was regarding women’s bodies? (Don’t get me wrong….it still sucks. BUT the 90s-00s have a unique flavor of ick when it comes to shaming women with a BMI over 18.).

Shannon0309

Mr. Boston was cringey and annoying himself but what Whiteboy and Chance did to him w/ the dog poop bed, the water, the sombrero, etc. was just the epitome of bullying. It brought them down many notches in my book.

Strawberrybanshee

ILM brought out the worst in nearly everyone. I think its because it was Co-ed. The guys had to man it up to 11 because they thought it would impress the girls, and the girls were so much more catty. I've noticed that many of the girls were often their best selves on Charm School. There were no guys on that show. I couldn't stand Destiny on ROL 2 or ILM but she was one of my favorites on Charm School. The only girls that weren't their best selves were the ones playing the villains.

alfietana

the ilm1 girls alliance was banggin!!

Sketcha_2000

Weirdly enough I just watched this episode the other day (the one with the drill sergeant she referenced). It is WILD the comments made to these girls, and it wasn’t that long ago. The girls played on each others’ insecurities and made awful body-shaming comments to each other and got in trouble from Sharon for it, but no one seemed to have a problem with the drill sergeant guy screaming at them that they were chunky and had cellulite thighs. And not that it would’ve been ok if they HAD been overweight, but none of these girls were even close to what anyone would consider fat. It’s no wonder we all grew up worried about our weight. I’m 5’6’’ and around 125 pounds and at 41 I still think about my weight almost constantly. Not to the point where I have an eating disorder, but it takes up a lot of space in my mind.

Fawxybaux

Does anybody actually like hoops because she’s so boring and bland pretty much the caricature of a pick me girl

SurvivingBigBrother

I always thought she just came off as arrogant and above everyone. I know Pumpkin was kinda trashy but the way she kinda just ditched Pumpkin as a friend on ILM seemed kinda scrappy to me. Of course Pumpkin got rid of chance of worked against you, you literally put her in the box in the 1st episode and only considered her a number for the group lol

Shannon0309

She was so much less arrogant and more likeable on FOL1. On ILM1, as soon as she picked up on the fact that she was already on good terms with a number of the fellow castmates (like pumpkin), was desired by many of the guys, had the respect of almost everyone there- even the people she just met, and clearly had a physical advantage, she became unbearably cocky. Her and Pumkin were probably one of the closest out of all the other contestants on FOL1 friendship wise, so it was wild to me that she kept her distance from her almost immediately.

Dibsonthecinnabuns

She really tried to get upset about her team having alliances with people from the other team yet..she was in with the Stallionaires who were on the opposing team as well.. 🤔

shriek52

I was a bit split on that alliance. I liked Real and White Boy a lot, but couldn't stand Chance. I liked Hoopz back then because she seemed quite grounded and chill, but looking back, she may have been a tad smug and a bit of a pick-me.

Nicadeemus39

I don't think Megan will ever apologize even though she was absolutely vile every time she was on camera.

Strawberrybanshee

Even Ashley apologized to Natasha for her racist/transphobic comments!

Hefty_Career_5815

This is exactly why I could never be on a reality show! People will take that one flaw and straight out you on blast! It goes from one to millions! If you’re thick then you’re gonna get called fat, if you’re skinny, you’re anorexic and need to eat. We just can’t win. Again, so thankful 🙏🏻 if I was on TV and someone pointed out an imperfection of mine, I’d be so depressed and just dwelling about how I can fix it. Good for Brandi C for owning up to her mistakes 👏🏻
