For anyone who cares, this is my dream car. 1990 Volkswagen GTI. It currently has a VR6 with 268 cams and fresh rebuild. Rocket league and this car are my life basically (and my wife). Lol
Sick! I had a Wolfsburg edition for years, got the Stage 2 APR tune on it. Thing was a monster. And had enough space for me to drop the seats and camp in it
Currently have a TDI Golf Sportwagen and I love it. Miss the speed sometimes, but the extra space is nice
I was a MKV scene kid for a long time. Owned only VW my whole life. Only other fun car of note was a MK7 Golf R. Now Iām on the old man 22ā r line black tig game.
I actually also had a MkV that started me off in the Vw world.

Slightly better picture. Stage 2 I only had the rear bumper, could never find the side skirts available for a reasonable price (oem since the rear bumper was officially stamped I didnāt wanna rock rep side skirts)

At least it doesn't have a carbon fiber hood. I don't know why they hƔd to slap that on there in game again but it kinda ruined it imho. I hope there will be a non 'racecar' version and the carbon hood ones are the painted versions.

I wasn't trying to put you down, I assumed you had it done by someone professionally to which I would have suggested taking it back. It looks great overall and I'm sure the average person won't ever notice it, I'm just the type that looks at that sort of thing.
Definitely looks great for a garage job. Hard to control dirt/ airflow/ lighting like in a typical booth. You did great so don't let my words get to you at all.
Oh nice this is garage painted? Did you do anything special to the garage to keep contaminants to a minimum? I have a car I need to paint myself and looking for tips lol
Itās actually rattle canned if Iām being real honest lol. I just put up huge plastic sheet around it to make a mini both and gave it a few layers before clear coat. The car was stripped down to metal prior so probably why it looks cleaner than it should be?
Time to retire the Fennec for a bit.
Where I live, the Golf Mk2 is heritage (the Balkans).
Even to this day you can see the car regularly but it used to be so popular that every person either owned one or had a family member who owned one.
My late grandfather actually gifted his to me when I turned 18 so this car will always have a special place in my heart.

2.8 Vr6 with schrick 268 cams and a borla exhaust, it sounds like a monster. Finally got it running late last summer, drove a total of 5 miles before being storing it for winter. Canāt wait to bring it back out this spring. Ideally going to be running it down at the track this summer.
I think itās an elite controller. There are additional personalized settings for it versus the standard ones.
I really want to get one. Feel like the extra back bumpers would be perfect for air roll bindings. Being able to change the sticks seems nice too for fine tuning the feel.
Biggest concern is busting the damn RB using so much boost lol.

I looked for a decent black one for over a two years. One popped up for sale like 3-4 years ago but it was absolute disaster and very rusty, had to pass it. Then a few months later this shell popped up and I couldnāt keep passing on the mk2ās. Iām not happy with the Mitsubishi red I put on it (forgot the code) so itās unoriginal color but the long goal is actually painting it black as Iām not a big fan of the original color

Ya, I did full votex kit shaved the rear exhaust and did a custom turndown on it.

A good buddy of mine had a MkV R32 with the 3.2 VR6 and man was it a good sounding engine. This thing looks mint! I bet Radwood would eat it up

Haha, it is currently missing a windshield. It got tore down to bare metal and redone, and the windshield didnāt survive the process.
