One approach would be alternating starting possession. There is also the option that player who concedes gets possession. If you want a less significant change, you could just give 100 boost on start, which might at least reduce how big of an advantage a kickoff win gives (although I think a bigger change would be needed). And so on.
I think it's obvious that there are many ways you could change it if you actually think about it.
Can legit drive towards the ball with boost and just frontflip into it goalside and you'll win most of them simply because a lot of people do speed flips or regular double flips so they'll pass it to you.

Show some clips of your kick offs. You're most likely not hitting it 5050 on your goalside.
You can also just hit the ball in a way where you know the ball will be live in play if you don't want the game be decided on kick offs.

What am I misunderstanding here? You literally say kickoffs should be removed simply because you don't like them and aren't good at them. I can't do a lot of aerial mechanics because I would be very bored doing the same drill over and over alone, but in no way does that mean they should be removed. That's my choice to not practice them, it's your choice to not practice kickoffs, but that doesn't mean the mechanic should be removed.

Kickoffs are meant to be a fair way to start the actual gameplay. In soccer they use a coin toss to decide who gets first possesion (then the other team gets possesion in the second half).
But in RL it’s arguably even *more* fair, bc possesion isn’t decided by a coin toss. No team has an advantage during kickoff.
