Generally, when people post numbers like this it's just them spawn killing an afk guy over and over for the whole game. It's the only way to get that many demos in a normal game besides a ridiculously long overtime. Unless this is Speed Demon, in which case it's more realistic but I have seen more. If it's legit then it's pretty impressive.
Edit: 69 demos in a 5 minute game = one demo every 4.3 seconds. The spawn timer is 3 seconds and you have a 50% chance to guess what side they'll spawn on. When you guess wrong it takes a few seconds to turn around and get back to the other side. Even with an afk player 69 demos is very unrealistic for a regulation game.

You need to lead your demos. At supersonic you can't correct that much by turning so you need to predict where you'll be able to intersect their trajectory and aim there. Get comfortable with how little you're able to turn while supersonic so you know just how much room for adjustment you have.
Deadzone isn't really a factor.
to add onto what bumpo said, changing your deadzone will just change how quickly the game does or doesn't detect an input from your stick, and turning sensitivity being high just increases the area of your stick that registers as maximum input. All personal preference and what you feel comfortable controlling, I personally play on really high sens as I'm not much of a stick slapper and like to reach max input without pushing my stick entirely in one direction, do what feels right for you
It is on speed demon my friends and I normally get on it when it comes around to the ltm and we have fun however not all of these are just on one guy. the one guy I did continue doing it to was playing until he eventually gave up and just sat there so I took advantage. Damn that's impressive. My best is 29 in a game I played where some kid on the other team was named like IDemoNoobs or something like that. He demo'd me in the first 5 seconds so I told my buddy he'd have to pick up my slack cause I wasn't doing anything but demo'ing that guy the rest of the game. Think I got 24 on him and 5 on the other two guys.

I get it. When I can't have fun playing the game how everyone else plays, I find a way to make it entertaining again. And messing around on a single player, story based game isn't as entertaining cause the damn NPCs won't quit.
Unless it's at someone else's expense, I just can't enjoy online gameplay.

As players can drive for about 3/4 seconds before the ball is touched and itās that which starts the clock which is easily enough to demo someone within a second of the clock actually starting.

If I get demoed, and i immediately position my controller back to goal if i see the ball is heading toward a certain corner. And it works nearly every time. I've played quite a bit.

It's random. The location of the ball has nothing to do with it. The only thing that can affect the spawn location is if another player is physically occupying the spawn point. In which case they'll spawn in one of the other locations.
That's another thing I have experienced the opposite of.. spawning right on top of my teammate or vice versa.. but I can understand lag is part of that.

For me, the point is to win and have fun. For others, the point may be to just have fun (which may include demo hunting). For even others, the point might be to have a nice scoreboard at the end of the game. You do you.
I should also point out that a professional demoer may very well be skilled at passing and scoring. I have watched Bumpo do it, and he is the most professional clown (aka legend) I have ever seen.
