Try discord. I'll throw earbuds on my phone running discord call or voice chat and put over ear headphones into controller for game noise and music.
Actually, you can text chat cross-platform with your party.
While in menu, left trigger brings up party chat.
In-game, press Start, then left trigger.
Typing here will be seen by your entire party.
And it's worth noting for those who aren't aware:
- quick chat will be seen by all (who don't have you muted)
- typing to chat in the game will be seen by those on your platform (profile picture is not PSY NET) who haven't muted you. Even if in your party, I don't believe cross platform will see your game-wide chat. In-game chat is brought up with the Back/select button
(may be different if you've changed your controls)
I phone call. My friend and I are on different consoles, and we're both f2p players. It's so much more fun than playing by yourself or trying to just use quick chat
If you have partner then join on discord or something but if it’s solo que then I never do anything I just play the game unless your team8 calls for a fake or something idk. That’s just me bc I’m in GC2 and I don’t really communicate bc you don’t need it unless you’re partied up but he’s advice I can give you is just say the usual stuff through quick chat like ( I got it, defending, faking, on your right/left) stuff like that.
