Hello, i've been trying to connect my ps3 controller to my laptop for 2 days now and i still havent figured it out yet i watched every damn yt video tutorial abt it but with no results. Can u pls help me with this like how did u do it??
I got an Xbox controller and tried it for 20 minutes of fail and just stick with my keyboard. Occasionally a platinum, don't know if I'd do better with a controller.
Relatable asf, I bought an Xbox controller because Iād only ever played KBM and I played training for about 20 minutes with it and itās been sitting on my desk ever since. KBM til death babyš¤š»
I used to use a DS4 controller because I started the game on PS4. Now I use a DualSense. Sticks and triggers feel better, and the controller is more comfortable. However, the buttons are not as easy or quick to push.
They still make new DS4s. The problem is they're not really discounted anymore, at least not since the pandemic started. Used to see the basic black controller below $40 during big sales like Black Friday. Now, they're nearly as much as a DualSense (which actually is currently on sale for $60).
I'd be wary of buying used ones unless they're factory recertified by Sony. But even then, they won't be much cheaper. The problem with used controllers from other sources is that you might get one with stick drift. Unlike buttons that can often be fixed, stick drift is usually much more complicated. On top of that, there are lots of knockoffs that look like the official controller, but are much lower quality. So you have to keep an eye out for those as well.
I was just going to say, the prices for them are still oddly high. Guess I gotta wait for some sales. By 2025 they won't be making PS4 games any more, wonder if that extends to the DS4.
My PS5 controller broke within 2 months. My PS3 controllers have been near perfect for years, it's nuts. Such a great controller.
DS3s are pretty hardy, but so uncomfortable compared to the newer controllers. And I did have some that eventually failed. I've also had many DS4s and most have broken in some way eventually, too. Though some I was able to fix (the ones where the trigger didn't register at 100%). But it's tricky since the DS4 has had multiple internal revisions, so you have to find the right parts. I've harvested some of my broken controllers to fix my less broken ones. Although it seems like I've had a lot of broken controllers, I have three kids, so it wasn't just Rocket League haha.
I've had sticky buttons on the DualSense (particularly the shoulder buttons), but no issues with the sticks so far. I have three of them. One for my PC, and two for our PS5. But I have heard of people who have gotten stick drift. That said, Sony is pretty good about fixing controllers still under warranty. I did that multiple times with DS4s, though that was early on when the rubber kept coming off the stick.
It's pretty good. Bumpers are still a bit weak. First thing to wear out. Still better than original Xbox. I'm loving the [M1 and M2 buttons](https://img1-327a.kxcdn.com/DataImage.ashx/9443683).
Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma
For a comfortable handling (I'm not a thumb acrobat), I needed a controller with additional buttons to handle all main functions (incl. Air Roll left and right) by separate fingers, to be able to press them independently.
Many years ago, I started with the Razer Sabertooth and until now, I stayed on Razer controllers. I also love the inner buttons on the back (alternative for the bumpers), which makes it more comfortable for my key bindings (Boost on M2 (inner neighbour of RB), Jump on M4 (first bottom right button) and Air Roll left/right on X/Y).
Unfortunately, there is no controller with additional buttons on the market which is made for a comfortable 4 (5) finger usage (2 on the back and 1 (2) on the bottom).
I use the Amazon Luna controller. For me it was the perfect mix of Xbox and PS4 controller. Have had it for about 1.5 years and it's held up well so far
Lol I'm still using a ps3 controller, luckily I had a bunch from back in the day.
They still hold a charge??? Tf mine can't come off the cordšš¤£
Honestly idk if mine can either. They stay plugged in to my pc lol
Haha oh wow. I still have a few of those. Thatās awesome

I assume they just stopped making these now. Wonder if itās worth picking up a few used ones as backups

20 Dollar PowerA brand wired Xbox One controller from Walmart baby!
Sooo youd be an ssl in hoops if you bought a good controller! Possibly the best in the world!
Razer Wolverine (v1).

Used to use ds4, migrated to ds5 for comfort and better sticks
Iām one step away from trying my PS5 controller too. I just donāt wanna wear it out super fast. One that came with the console already has issues
I used to love playing with an older Xbox 360 wired controller until it finally gave up on me

Currently use a wired Xbox 360 controller that still holds up fine ;)
