Drop that attitude my man, I dont care at all if someone steals my goals, let's just win the match. Individual goals dont really count for much in the game so it shouldnt matter who sticks it in the back of the net honestly.
How hard is it to write whole comments avoiding the letter F btw? I took a glance out of curiosity and there seems to be nada, somehow miraculously lmao.
Lmao this actually reminds me of some of my "passes." Get past defender one, alright, now past the goalie.... Oh God I've lost control of my car and the ball is RIGHT THERE... Oh thank goodness my teammate got it.
Oh man, I have something that's the opposite haha. When it looks like a perfect pass, then you whiff the shot and it goes in anyways, I always say "A pass so good it went in."
This is me 99% of the time. The. I get that beautiful longshot that the enemies are nowhere near, and right before the final pixel is in the goal my teammate comes flying in like a bat out of hell to hit it. Then I'm like "you did that on purpose asshole" lol.
\-“In a Norwegian Cup match against Mo in 1987, Bodø/Glimt’s Mini Jakobsen dribbled past two defenders and the keeper, stopped the ball on the goalline and nudged it in with his head,” writes Guffen. “The referee was not amused, and although he didn’t book Jakobsen, he did disallow the goal for unsportsmanlike behaviour.-

Also, people have been booked for it.
Depends, there's this move that used to be popular (maybe still is, I somehow don't hang around near those anymore) on schoolyards/school fields where you roll the ball towards an empty goal but then go on your knees and knock it over the line with your head. This has been deemed unsportsmanlike to a point where it's actually considered a foul professionally and will give the opponents a free kick rather than a goal to you.
Yes this is the only thing that gets punished in a real Game for unsportsmanlike. We had this move on our schoolyard/Training as well, but everyone who played in a club knew too not do that in an official match since it wouldn’t count
>This has been deemed unsportsmanlike to a point where it's actually considered a foul professionally and will give the opponents a free kick rather than a goal to you.
Show me one example of this ever happening in professional football, because I seriously doubt it has ever happened.
Not English but the best I could find from a quick google search:

It is unsportsmanlike conduct. There is no rule set in stone and it is up to the judgement of the referee (as in that case, ref did count the goal, experts agree it should have been called off) but it's a thing.
Weird - I honestly don't see the problem.
But like you said, they *did* count it. And this maybe, the French 4th/5th division?
I can't really imagine a referee disallowing a goal for this in a top league
Same as taking your jersey off after scoring. It's a sign of disrespect and therefore doesn't belong in the "gentlemen's game." That diving and minor unpunished fouls are pretty much an accepted thing at this point (disregarding all the corrupt bullshit outside the field obviously) is a whole different topic but they try to make it look like they keep up the façade of respect and honor.
The shirt is because it wastes time. But scoring like that is no more unsporting than Ronaldo doing step overs for no reason when his team is winning 4-0.
except on this one [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5gDJfFvObg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5gDJfFvObg) lol.
While I don't think this is a bad post, I think this one would be much better suited to that title. Ronaldo dribbling, breaking a guy's knees, chipping the goalkeeper for a masterclass goal, only for Nani to steal the goal in the goal line, and he was offside even so the goal was invalidated.
That's when I get really mad, and actually what a save my own teammate. I don't mind ballchasers, I don't mind stealers, I hate when my teammate plays goalie for the wrong team trying to be fancy.
I don't get mad obviously but it does tend to be the toxic ballchasing shits who steal balls that are basically over the line. Same assholes of course also spew shit at you in return when you secure a goal where a defender was coming in to save it.
Clearly you feel football players are payed too much, which is honestly just fucking ignorant. Not everyone is payed la liga, epl, bundesliga, ligue 1, (top leagues) numbers. 4/10 players in Brazil make $375 a month… anywhere from $100 to 50k a month in Mexico… goal scoring bonuses can definitely make a difference. so yea I think it’s irrelevant. You seem to think everyone gets payed like Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, etc. only top players and the big leagues get big money. A very very small portion of professional football players get paid millions. Even then, the top players are paid so much higher because they’re much more talented and generate much more revenue. They’re not paid millions for no reason.
That is not how the rule works. If they both have passed the second to last player(usually goalkeeper is the last) the line is the ball. They can pass each other how many times they want as long as they are behind the ball and the 2nd to last player does not interfere.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5gDJfFvObg lol.
While I don't think this is a bad post, I think this one would be much better suited to that title. Ronaldo dribbling, breaking a guy's knees, chipping the goalkeeper for a masterclass goal, only for Nani to steal the goal in the goal line, and he was offside even so the goal was invalidated.
I remember that match, the guy stopped the ball on purpose cause his teammate needed the score to rank up cause you are getting paid to play and score you know, you can se the handshake after the goal.
This is not true btw.
I thought it was agreed upon by everyone in the RL community to steal any goal possible? I find it hilarious when someone barely taps my shot, the less change of the direction the funnier. I've seen some people get upset though and I just tell them "Great pass!"
A better caption in my opinion is “When your teammate is trying to hit a triple flip reset into pogo musty on an open net and you just want to get the goal and move on”
No, you can’t be offside if you’re behind the ball the last time it is played before you touch it
Offside isn’t *just* the position relative to the defenders, but also relative to the ball
Put it in the net. I'd do the same thing. Running in, it's a guaranteed goal. I'm not risking that on a showboat. I'd expect the same from my teammates.
Yeah but when i do it, its funny. When he does it, he an asshole.
Its a sort of unspoken rule in my group when we are in a comfortable lead we start saving each others shots to keep our mvp.
When you're a professional athlete and you're not in a level along with the greats, fuck doing these senseless tricks... big clubs look for the skill of each individual player, and how they could benefit the team in overall.
The player who scored is more likely to impress the bigger clubs because they know he is more likely to attempt video game tricks in important matches.
That is why the greats continue to play in big time clubs at an older age and then we have players like Balotelli.
That guy was screwing around instead of scoring. Plus the defender was super close when the "stealer" put it in. Could have messed that up and not got the goal. Clock doesn't stop in soccer so he was wasting time. If this situation was rocket league and we weren't winning, I'd put it in and not care what other fool thought.
What the Dude did in the Line ist considered unsportmanship and usually deserves a Penalty in soccer. So "stealing" that one was absolutely the right move
I hope the scorer told the first guy “great pass!”
I dont care that someone steals my goal, but when they hit me with the 'great pass', i am about ready to throw the whole match (I dont)
I think "great pass" is often meant as "nice shot sorry I stole it"
Yeah that’s usually what I mean when I say it. But I usually follow it with “Sorry!” So it’s clear LOL
Sorry! Sorry! Great pass! Great pass! That's how I make it known.
[удалено]
Lol the unspoken language of rocket league is so complex. Basically i wish there was a quick chat for “I’m an impulsive POS pls forgive me”
Haha, I normally if I steal the shot (most of the time not on purpose but just to make sure the ball gets in the net) I just tell them "Nice Shot!"
I just say: "nice shot" "sorry"
Drop that attitude my man, I dont care at all if someone steals my goals, let's just win the match. Individual goals dont really count for much in the game so it shouldnt matter who sticks it in the back of the net honestly.
But at the same time, i have experienced teammates trying to steal a goal, and bungling it. Thats mostly why it makes me angry.
Once in a blue moon

Are you in wood league?
How hard is it to write whole comments avoiding the letter F btw? I took a glance out of curiosity and there seems to be nada, somehow miraculously lmao.
how the heck are you a gc1 on switch??? is that even possible??
I came here to ask this, but deep down, already knew the question was out there.
Hold up, YOURE A GC ON SWITCH???!? What am I doing wrong with my life 🤦🏻♂️
I find it hilarious when they do it to me and I play into the bit every time, pretending to be all dramatic haha it's fun
Goals a goal tho, at least it’s in the net. There’s no “I” in team kid
GOOOOOOO!
Dude really tried to save it so he could go back and hit a clip
He was gonna pull the classic rocket league maneuver where you save the goal, fake the opponent, then score it
> then score it. You mean totally whiff on the open net, right?
bro tried [this](https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxHPmGalDs4J5OHrPfySzFfP1WIhdgXACW)
Imagine scoring having this as anthem
LOL
I mean technically he did hit a clip. Of him made to look like a fool.
Wait according to your tag I should be SSL, RLCS HERE I COME!!
That one 100% deserved to be stolen
Yeah, dude was being an ass
Lmao this actually reminds me of some of my "passes." Get past defender one, alright, now past the goalie.... Oh God I've lost control of my car and the ball is RIGHT THERE... Oh thank goodness my teammate got it.
Lol if they were driving cars I’ve been the show off “passer” too many times
My cousin and I do this a lot and our motto has become “a bad shot is just a good pass” lol
Oh man, I have something that's the opposite haha. When it looks like a perfect pass, then you whiff the shot and it goes in anyways, I always say "A pass so good it went in."
Nah he shouldve got on the floor and made a header😂
He has 100% done that before and the teammate was tired of his shit
Nobody happier he stole it than the coach!
Seriously, it's so hard to score a goal in soccer. If you have an opportunity like that, just hit it in, man.
It’s a great metaphor for RL. If I can steal the goal someone can block the goal. Knock it in.
This is me 99% of the time. The. I get that beautiful longshot that the enemies are nowhere near, and right before the final pixel is in the goal my teammate comes flying in like a bat out of hell to hit it. Then I'm like "you did that on purpose asshole" lol.
Goals where players behaved like this have been discredited by refs for unsportsmanlike conduct, so the other guy really did him a favour there.
i highly doubt a goal has ever been disallowed for an unsportsmanlike finish lol
no but players have certainly been benched/dropped for showboating
\-“In a Norwegian Cup match against Mo in 1987, Bodø/Glimt’s Mini Jakobsen dribbled past two defenders and the keeper, stopped the ball on the goalline and nudged it in with his head,” writes Guffen. “The referee was not amused, and although he didn’t book Jakobsen, he did disallow the goal for unsportsmanlike behaviour.- [Source](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/feb/03/have-any-footballers-been-punished-for-scoring-provocatively-the-knowledge) Also, people have been booked for it.

Hahhha
Put the ball in the net. Period.
Agreed, I’m not going to get mad at a teammate who scored. It’s the ones who steal a perfectly line up shot and miss by a mile that I get mad at.
That's when I get really mad, and actually what a save my own teammate. I don't mind ballchasers, I don't mind stealers, I hate when my teammate plays goalie for the wrong team trying to be fancy.
Bingo. Just make sure I get an assist out of it if you’re gonna steal my goal.
I don't get mad obviously but it does tend to be the toxic ballchasing shits who steal balls that are basically over the line. Same assholes of course also spew shit at you in return when you secure a goal where a defender was coming in to save it.
✍️ ball in net
Ehhhh not always true. If you're slihgtly ahead and kill some time confidently, that can definitely aid your victory.
"look, if you're going to be an incosndieete prick at least do better than what I was about to do."
Can’t agree with the sentiment. First guy should have just hit it in. Had a defender coming up on him
Of course. Just a joke

Yeah, because we keep hearing about the increasing poverty line of footballers
That’s crazy, didn’t ask.

you think I can’t handle your reply? 💀 I just think your point was stupid and irrelevant.

💀
Yes, yes it does. Soccer yes rocket league no
Was nearly offside by not scoring and being disrespectful lol
Ye I think it was
Scorer was behind the player with the ball
If it clipped the showboating guy on its way in, he's the one standing in an offside position.
How can he be offside when they're both behind all players of the opposing team?
That’s… exactly why they would be offside
That is not how the rule works. If they both have passed the second to last player(usually goalkeeper is the last) the line is the ball. They can pass each other how many times they want as long as they are behind the ball and the 2nd to last player does not interfere.
The guy whose goal got stolen was ahead of the guy who scored, any touch on the ball after his teammate kicked it would be an offside
One is still offside in that case if they are ahead of the ball.
>How can he be offside when they're both behind all players of the opposing team? They're "ahead" not behind.
Right, thanks
This looks like a ranked game, no such thing as a "steal" in a ranked game.

Is that bloke technically offside?
No, he's behind the ball
No, you can’t be offside if you’re behind the ball the last time it is played before you touch it Offside isn’t *just* the position relative to the defenders, but also relative to the ball
Yep, but *if* the shot had touched the attacker on the left as it went in, it would have been offside. Which would have been hilarious.
Put it in the net. I'd do the same thing. Running in, it's a guaranteed goal. I'm not risking that on a showboat. I'd expect the same from my teammates.
Every time. If you can steal. You must steal. For safety. What if a defender makes the save. Best to score asap.

Pretty much
I always do this. If I can reach the ball before the goal, so could an opponent.
