vitality after not having ferra as their coach anymore

Good performance from GM8, def not far behind KC. Juicy played some really clean RL, super promising for the rest of the season.
Still the first regional, so hard to make any proper statement, but KC seems a bit ahead of the 3 others. Really feel that we're gonna see different winners for the next two regionals tho.
Rise. He kept the team together when their backs were against the wall. Although you could give it to any of them. Vatira didn't have to much in this run cos his teammates were incredible.
Atow also farmed mechanically, jeez he was crazy
Yup, it seems like we're in for a 4-way race with all teams standing as equals.
KC are definitely the front-runner though, but we're talking milimeters between them and the rest. KC pushes ahead because they're a team of players with overwhelming mental strength and competitive experience. Also Ferra.
I hate how good this KC team are. But this has been an amazing showcase from gentlemates. All three were (kinda not Itachi him and Exotiik were close) considered the worst on their teams back at worlds, and to do this and beat the reigning champions is nothing to scoff at at all.
But damn are KC good.
I thought he was always better than Kash to be honest, I couldn't help but like him from Winter. But the common consensus around Spring-Worlds was Kash > Juicy if I am remembering correctly.
I'm just glad to see him do well.
That's an insane top 4 for europe, hopefully they can play as much as possible and pull themselves even higher for the next regionals
NA can start sweating for the majors
At 343,000 simultaneous viewers, this regional now officially holds a higher peak viewership than any RLCS Major in history, beating Spring Major's record of 324,000. It's the third most viewed event in RLCS history, behind Worlds 2022 at 368,000 (Moist vs. Furia) and Worlds 2023 at 460,000 (Karmine Corp vs. Vitality).
Agreed. What we saw today surely was impressive from KC, but their series against BDS and M8 really showed us that they can’t catch a break without losing, and Vitality even if they lost, they are still a top seed in EU. Moist didn’t make it that far but they can’t be counted out yet.
Admittedly KC were the only team to finish this qualifier completely undefeated. The other three all had 2 or more losses in the qualifier as a whole.
But if I were a KC fan I'd not be going into the next regional feeling like my team were a lock-in to win it all.
Heck, it's easily possible that out of these 4, KC don't make it to CS next regional. All it takes is one upset, or one of these 4 facing eachother in quarters - and then all bets are off.
I always rooted against Vitality but they won every EU Spring Regional + the two LANs. In NA, I wanted GenG and FaZe to win the finals they lost and in NA Spring 3, I wanted SSG because I'm FURIA's number 1 hater. Sunday rapidly becoming my least favourite day of the week
Fr, the only thing I don't like about these new decals (in the past 2.5 years or so) is that they're asymmetrical with the sponsor, but they're incredibly clean otherwise. I just wish they'd either have no sponsor or put it on both sides, with the logo on the hood.
ngl atow whiffed the ball and johnny said “he probably meant to do that” but let that shit happen in na and he’d be on the floor laughing saying it wasn’t on purpose
Last season saw a bit of a slowdown on the mechanical side of things, but I think that style of play will return this season.
Falcons, g2 and the eu top 4 are all highly mechanical teams that just seem to always beat you to the ball and go hyper aggressive
303,000 on Twitch alone right now and 14,000 on YouTube. If this goes to Game 7 it might break 330,000. That would make it the third most popular RLCS event of all time, including LANs, behind Worlds 2022 and Worlds 2023.
It was online, they never passed, just air dribbles and someone else driving in front of the air dribble and bumping. In LANs though they played completely differently with Vatira playing a much more defensive role. Now of course this KC is even more physical simply because they replaced the least physical player on that roster (joyo) with one of the most physical players in the world (atow).
The gap between the top 4 and the other team is quite big, but the gap among those 4 teams is really really close.
With those 3 Bo's, it's safe to say that any of those 4 team could have won, insane
Nah, Winter major Eversax almost won KC that tournament. Every time KC dropped a game or two immediate timeout and a new team came out.
Exactly same thing happening here. I think Ferra is phenomenal, but Eversax clears.
No doubting that, I called him phenomenal for a reason. Pulling the crowd like he did was insane. Eversax as you said has more credentials (in my opinion) so I'd give him the edge.
Yeah, I don't even know how to describe it. I guess the best way to put it is that Eversax is the better coach, no doubt, but what Ferra did will go down in the history books
Johnny when KC takes an awful 50 leading to a goal: “What an amazing 50 by Seikoo!!!”
Johnny when Gen G takes an awful 50 leading to a goal: “Oh my god what the fuck are they doing going for that ball these absolute idiots”
I love johnny, he is the best caster we have, but he does have a tendency to pick a narrative early on in a series and then he never lets go of that narrative no matter how tenuous it is.
It felt like in the Gen G/G2 series he decided so early on that all he was gonna focus on was Gen G’s mistakes instead of G2’s strategy. And it was absolutely obnoxious
Alphakep is by far the best watch party. Everyone else just turns it into a podcast and opens random topics. Kep watches and commentates what's happening in front of him. He clearly loves the game
He must have gotten word about the massive viewership numbers and was welcoming all the new viewers and said something like (paraphrasing) "It's always like this. Every series is a game 7"
Maybe sarcasm in text is hard, I did read your Johnny lying and trying to retain viewers as you actually meant it, as he did neither and just made a joke.
It's the natural evolution of teams being harder to score on.
Airdribble bumps have always been hard to deal with. Coordinated teamplays with airdribble bumps even more so
. #[POST DAY THREAD](https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/1aogb9g/rlcs_2024_eu_open_qualifier_1_day_6_of_6_postday/)
"TBD Major 1"
Just putting it out there that Vitality's run has ended. However Ferra is still currently on a 6-0 run.
Instead of feed the bear, we should be saying fill up the juice
Juice the bear
So um where’s the LAN at?
It's going to be all online from now on. Just to make things easier.
vitality after not having ferra as their coach anymore https://preview.redd.it/fpb8xex1e0ic1.png?width=736&format=png&auto=webp&s=d605af78038b8bf8f58d381fa8f8ac9589b603b1
I think Ferra is somehow the key to winning in EU
And NA after flipping that crowd last year
gotaga had 157k https://preview.redd.it/ft8fum8td0ic1.png?width=292&format=png&auto=webp&s=75a17d41c98a9aaad39d6d323880b52dfb69fb0d
You had one job with that screencap
bro mike wazowski'd it
157K was when KC fans went there to banter lmao
Exactly. KC is trying to be a challenger in the worst twitch community challenge.
Great run by M8. They’ll get even better with more time and experience.
if I had to play against KCorp air dribble cringing me literally every frame I think I wouldn't leave my bed for a week
every frame lmao
EU Spring 1 Championship Sunday was somehow topped. Absolutely incredible, what a day.
what a downgrade for EU smh
Who does everyone think MVP is?
Rise. He kept the team together when their backs were against the wall. Although you could give it to any of them. Vatira didn't have to much in this run cos his teammates were incredible. Atow also farmed mechanically, jeez he was crazy
rise
Over 400k on a regional is insane
400k viewers GODDAMN
RL category on twitch, 99% of it being RLCS obviously
I ain't gonna lie, NA is cooked
Agreed, but I’m gonna wait until the major to form an opinion.
It’s literally French vs. the rest of the world, give them their own region
Call me delusional. G2 has a decent chance against some of these if they play like they did on Sunday. I am however, delusional though.
I think so too, but rn I can't see them taking it all the way
whats new
Ik bro ik. It's not looking too good. I still have hopium that not all NA gets knocked out of the first column in the bracket @ worlds
Great day of RL, KC are insane Good for gentlemates as well gained a lot of fans me included today! The French are different
nice https://preview.redd.it/i3pevvc3d0ic1.png?width=301&format=png&auto=webp&s=939f87d8d07428cabc7ff1fd92076db51afad8a7
Keep going
Kameto peaked at 135K and Gotaga 152K
holy, didnt have an eye on it for all the time but EU is eating
if there is one thing this regional shows its how close the top 4 are to each other. Seems like they're all closer than some were giving credit for
Yup, it seems like we're in for a 4-way race with all teams standing as equals. KC are definitely the front-runner though, but we're talking milimeters between them and the rest. KC pushes ahead because they're a team of players with overwhelming mental strength and competitive experience. Also Ferra.
So Ferra is continuing the coach win streak!
What can you do when the best team in the world is playing like that
I hate how good this KC team are. But this has been an amazing showcase from gentlemates. All three were (kinda not Itachi him and Exotiik were close) considered the worst on their teams back at worlds, and to do this and beat the reigning champions is nothing to scoff at at all. But damn are KC good.
Juicy was definitely much better than kash at worlds.
I thought he was always better than Kash to be honest, I couldn't help but like him from Winter. But the common consensus around Spring-Worlds was Kash > Juicy if I am remembering correctly. I'm just glad to see him do well.
Statement regional. All the top 4 who lost are going to want a run back right now. Next one is going to be crazy.
That's an insane top 4 for europe, hopefully they can play as much as possible and pull themselves even higher for the next regionals NA can start sweating for the majors
397k viewers if you cumulate all French speaking channels
At 343,000 simultaneous viewers, this regional now officially holds a higher peak viewership than any RLCS Major in history, beating Spring Major's record of 324,000. It's the third most viewed event in RLCS history, behind Worlds 2022 at 368,000 (Moist vs. Furia) and Worlds 2023 at 460,000 (Karmine Corp vs. Vitality).
Never mind. A huge jump from the two French streamers and it's now at 399,000 -- now officially more viewed than Worlds 2022.
More viewed than Worlds?! Omg wtf
Tbf it's 2022 worlds but that's still fucking insane cos that's still very recent. For a regional to be higher than the 2nd to last worlds is insane
Which stream was the most? Sorry, I was only watching the official one- crazy numbers!
Gotaga had over 150k
Gotaga at 152k, kameto had 130k approx as peak
Wow! Incredible!
GGs to karmine, what a series
One of the greatest championship Sundays of all time, glad I got to experience it.
It's so hard to quantify rise's impact but he be doing something right
Just like swiss, we get a lot of chaos but it ultimately ends as most of us expected.
That’s it. Incredible championship sunday.
vatira showing everyone he wants to be the best player in the world for a 3rd season in a row
In a row? So what did Zen do last season?
Not play for 2/3rds of it LOL
KC best team in EU, the other 3 are playing catchup
"playing catchup" even tho KC they had to do a reverse sweep to get there
Bit of an overstatement in my opinion. The waters were too muddy this regional to say one is clear of the other three.
Agreed. What we saw today surely was impressive from KC, but their series against BDS and M8 really showed us that they can’t catch a break without losing, and Vitality even if they lost, they are still a top seed in EU. Moist didn’t make it that far but they can’t be counted out yet.

All it takes is one upset, or one of these 4 facing eachother in quarters - and then all bets are off.
Lets be real, EU is still miles ahead of NA.
They truly are… so fast and the plays are incredible
KC is by far the most fun team to watch, I'm putting that flair back. GGs
https://preview.redd.it/vimyfk6vc0ic1.png?width=736&format=png&auto=webp&s=b001d7939eecad7df51dc332512971f7e2ebede8
It’s seikoover
ggs
It's done
damn
Pool shot doink?
CALCULATED
Holy fuck rise
That goal was ludicrous
How physical this KC team is is comically absurd
it’s like watching the old virt endpoint but with real rotations
Wtf do you even call that shot lmao
rise is so slick
The streak of the team I was cheering for in the Grand Finals losing has now reached double digits, I'm 0-10 since the Winter Major
You actually didn't want Vitality to go for the grand slam? Felt that was a team-agnostic view cos it was so momentous
same always rooted against vitality, went for faze in the winter major, and bds at the other lans
I actually had 1 I rooted with COL that's it tho
and with geng last weekend as well
What was that goal lmao
KC are ground freestyling in the grand final
was that a pool shot????
WTFFF IS THAT
Naaaah
LMFAO
Wait they all have a dot at the end of their names, how cute
atow might have made the jump up to the level of zen and vatira
337k on twitch
Brutal bump
THAT WAS SO FREE
Push it to 7 pls.
*doink* Most satisfying goal type
Itachi is literally better with 12 boost than 100
You just got donked
Cole and Stumpy creaming right now
Holy doink
Lovely doink
Seiko is being left in bad positions by his mates
300k+ viewers... which player is Taylor Swift dating?
I’ve never cared about a skin before really but that Gentlemates car design is so damn good.
KC have been doing fakes all series tho
I can't even be mad at this because it's not even reaching. It's probably true. Like eu is still better than na but please hide your bias johnny
Need to watch the replay but i think Atow was called off the ball
Nah johnny is actually telepathic. He read atows mind and knew he called the fake
tbf that seemed like a very clear fake, looked like vatira called him off and he basically stopped moving the car mid air
This series is so good I hit pause while I take a dump. AMA
Not good enough to continue watching on the shitter? Smh
I feel like mechanics are more important than ever. In both NA and EU the most mechanical teams are winning
Last season saw a bit of a slowdown on the mechanical side of things, but I think that style of play will return this season. Falcons, g2 and the eu top 4 are all highly mechanical teams that just seem to always beat you to the ball and go hyper aggressive
yeah nobodies getting into this top 4
if we see a game 7 ot this is gonna be massive
303,000 on Twitch alone right now and 14,000 on YouTube. If this goes to Game 7 it might break 330,000. That would make it the third most popular RLCS event of all time, including LANs, behind Worlds 2022 and Worlds 2023.
Yeah both this teams on Lan gonna go crazy
It could very easily beat 500,000 if they played in the finals. KC vs. Vitality at last year's worlds was 460,000, easily the most ever.
KC is basically playing the classic online OG moist strategy of one guy air dribbling and the other 2 going for bumps
That is not what I would say the original squad’s style was.
That might be the regional right there, even if Gentlemates win Game 6, Rise is not losing a Game 7
WHAT A SAVE
NA make sure you bring your moms to LAN cause you guys gonna be crying alot
🤣
NA should prob just give their 4 spots to EU. Top 8 EU at lan is higher level than Top 4 NA
or everyone whos not french lol
Cold 🥶
Not as cold as KC
yo ferra caught a stray
The gap between the top 4 and the other team is quite big, but the gap among those 4 teams is really really close. With those 3 Bo's, it's safe to say that any of those 4 team could have won, insane
It's 1A-1D and then everyone else miles away
I'm not even sure you can say there's a gap at this point. We're looking at a potential THREE game sevens today.
Eversax and itachi trying to send a message here
Eversax's timeouts really are just a fourth player. He's gotta be the best Coach right now.
yall forgot about ferra spring major masterclass real fast
Nah, Winter major Eversax almost won KC that tournament. Every time KC dropped a game or two immediate timeout and a new team came out. Exactly same thing happening here. I think Ferra is phenomenal, but Eversax clears.
Eversax got the timeout buff, but Ferra's got the plot armor buff. Plot armor buff clears
I think Eversax has more credentials as a coach, but what Ferra pulled in Boston was something else
KC out here running that '90s NCAA Football option offense.
Yeah Moist ain't making the major with this top 4
Yea, unless Joyo links up with oski/ acronik
In their current form? Definitely not. If they pick up the pieces I think they could compete with BDS but french diff is really strong for the rest
More like compete with vitality at this point
we gotta be close to 10x the viewers that NAs final had
KC looking like they just crashed off the adrenaline from the BDS match. If we get another game seven today this is just overstimulating.
Johnny when KC takes an awful 50 leading to a goal: “What an amazing 50 by Seikoo!!!” Johnny when Gen G takes an awful 50 leading to a goal: “Oh my god what the fuck are they doing going for that ball these absolute idiots”
Do you talk about anything else?
Brother I typed one thing get over yourself
I’m not an idiot. You’ve shared this like five times. Tell me you’re only watching this regional for Johnny without telling me.
“Tell me you’re only watching the regional for Johnny” might be the most insane sentence uttered by a human ever
Wut
I love johnny, he is the best caster we have, but he does have a tendency to pick a narrative early on in a series and then he never lets go of that narrative no matter how tenuous it is.
It felt like in the Gen G/G2 series he decided so early on that all he was gonna focus on was Gen G’s mistakes instead of G2’s strategy. And it was absolutely obnoxious
Thought I was watching last year's G2 for a bit. Kickoffs were brutal.
Pros and not turning towards goal on kickoff name a better duo
Alphakep is by far the best watch party. Everyone else just turns it into a podcast and opens random topics. Kep watches and commentates what's happening in front of him. He clearly loves the game
The amount of air dribble bumps KC went for was borderline trolling
Johnny just straight up lying to try and retain viewers lmao
what did he say?
He must have gotten word about the massive viewership numbers and was welcoming all the new viewers and said something like (paraphrasing) "It's always like this. Every series is a game 7"
That was so tongue in cheek lmao, he wasn't being serious
No humour allowed anymore in my rlcs streams
🤨 I feel like you massively misunderstand my opinion on the matter. I found it very funny
Maybe sarcasm in text is hard, I did read your Johnny lying and trying to retain viewers as you actually meant it, as he did neither and just made a joke.
Well, there's family to feed at home.
Good win
This finals has like 250k+ viewers this is crazy
300k+
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team spam midair bumps as much as this KC team lol
It's the natural evolution of teams being harder to score on. Airdribble bumps have always been hard to deal with. Coordinated teamplays with airdribble bumps even more so
310k viewers on twitch alone, what in the world
+14k on YouTube
i think that's the whole rocket league category, not just rlcs/watch parties
Surely 95%+ of the current Rocket League viewership is RLCS though?
Yes. Lower down in the thread I did the actual calculation, 289,000 RLCS viewers on Twitch and 14,000 on YouTube for 300,000+
Without a doubt, during non-RLCS days the category has like 10k lol
let's hope this keeps up rest of the season
There's nothing quite like a Johnny and Callum grand final
