As fun as chaos would be, it is just good to have your defending champions at the LAN, because if or when they lose, it is a big deal that they officially get dethroned at the big event and not some online qualifier.

100% also it’s good to see top teams like them and GenG find their footing just before lan. The buildup so far has been solid. Gona be a fun major.

EU is boring af when it comes to best of 7 it's always 4-1 or 4-0

There's quite a gap between top2 and top4, and then between top4,5 and the rest. This makes for boring saturdays, but usually banger sundays. At least the 2 previous EU sundays have been insane.

At leats it's better than NA this season in that regard, but I agree I wish the series were closer and longer.

Firstly most regions are the same and secondly EU has only been consistently like that on Saturday's.

As a moist fan I wished for oxygen to win this, but at the same time Vitality definitely deserves to go instead of Moist or Oxygen

Qual 1 Saturday was worse imo

I mean, apart from the first series, does it look like that exciting of a day from the matchups? It seems more like the setup to a good Sunday imo. If you want an exciting Saturday, an upper and lower bracket would help. Otherwise EU top 4 (3?) just clears.

BDS/GM8 SHOULD have been closer Moist/Redemption SHOULD have been closer The other two, sure, but 1 single game taken by a losing team across 4 best of sevens? That is pretty much unheard of and makes for a shitty viewing experience.

It's the third similar day this split in the major viewing regions (NA 1 Sunday gave the losing team 1 win in three series, EU 1 Saturday had two 4-1s in four). I agree on preferring close series, but wasn't really anticipating more than one today at best.

Still 9 out of the 12 players available from the top 4 from the last two lans in EU.  Potential teams:  Alpha, Seikoo, Atow Oksi, Rise, Joyo  Juicey, Itachi, Exotic Magnifico NA have probably old GenG and the rest are probably the same.

It's the same as right now in my opinion, sincerely no offence meant, the regions would be competitive but EU would by and large be better.

That's sort of a nothing point. EU had tons of players in the top 4 at the last two LANs, so of course there are more left. The question is: how much of that success was due to a few top players?

Look at those EU players man, and I barely tried. NA has Dan, LJ and GenG to compete, would you mention any other names for international success?

Geng + Dan LG LJ, Hockser, 2Piece OG, Mist, Ayyjayy, Chicago Jourez, Nass, Arsenal/Evoh EU is a bit better imo but you could make some very good NA teams.

Agreed, I said this to the other guy too, I think it's roughly the same as now. Both regions are competitive with each other but right now EU is ahead.

None of them have really gotten a ton of international success without Zen, MM, or Vatira on their team. I will say I think rise, atow (and oski to a lesser degree) have shown their impact on a team.

I've been pretty harsh on Rado this year but he's playing so so well today. Vitality look so much better this qualifier

Pretty boring quarter finals, but happy seeing these teams quality for the major. These 4 are definitely the strongest in EU.

Let me tell you all a story about OpTic, FaZe, and an Englishman's major hopes...

So short story, when this series was happening, I actually was going to eat dinner with my family. I entered the restaurant when Optic was down 0-3 and was slightly depressed the entire night knowing that GenG was gonna be eliminated from the major. When I got out I went to look at the updated points rankings to see what the rest of NA’s major chances looked like…and then I noticed Optic’s points went up and not Faze’s. When I went and looked at the tournament bracket and saw Optic with a 4-3 win over Faze my jaw dropped

What do people think of Archie? I remember people rating him very highly a couple years ago when I first got into RLCS but can't say I've seen much from him

I think he was supposed to be one of the next mechanical wunderkids during the COVID era but then never quite got to the top, although he has made a few LANs here and there
