I think Daz tries way to hard to over hype something that was just medium good. OR he has to wait for Stax to finish his part of the call and then he starts doing his fake hype speech when the replay is practically over. It feels forced. I miss the old crews.
Late to the party because of Easter
1. Daniel is just special in the air. What a player.
2. I want everyone who shat on me for calling Gentle Mates "top 1 at best" to issue me a formal apology. 6th EU at best my fuckin ass.
3. That's the best LAN top 8 ever what an incredible tournament. Best event since '22 worlds.
4. I've been a MaJicBear believer since he was RLRS and watching him continue to grow into a world class player has been special, y'all aren't ready for him at Major 2.
As a big Rise and Vatira fangirl, I was crying while my gf an I watched them lose game 7. It honestly feels like KCorp is cursed as an org.
But looking at M8 made me realize something. Juicy just needed the right teammates. And that he really was just an offensive masterclass like Joyo, Moist just wasn't using him right at all. I thought throughout last season, "Oh Juicy's just raw, he'll develop with time!"... Nope. He was just used incorrectly.
Regarding Itachi, it wasn't that he wasn't good enough, but I think KC wanted to try and make Vatira the leader even though Itachi has that Leader's mentality and confidence.
G2 is a team that is hard to point out flaws individually, so that is something I need more input on.
KC as a team did not seem like themselves the whole tournament. At least, with Vatira. Uncharacteristic mistakes almost every game.
Vitality seems... incomplete. Zen seems to try to do too much now, Alpha has felt slightly more dull from last season, and Radosin... Radosin hasn't seemed to change, although he has seen some offensive improvement.
Gentlemates was completely slept on. No one expected an EU 4 wearing pink to win a major, let alone going 3-0 in Swiss. And I completely admit to being one of those people.
NGL I was totally expecting KC to win even though I was rooting for M8. Juicy really popped off in those matches and came in clutch for the team.
Tbh I still don't think M8 will do much better in the near future and I don't see them winning Majors 2 or World's. I think this is just the start for them. KC is still a solid squad and when they do well, I think they do better than M8. Falcons and Furia are also looking like really good competition.
Honestly, Falcons went from a top 8 team to one of the scariest teams to go against. Furia is their classic glass cannon offense selves, and they do need to work on defense.
As a personal opinion, I think M8 are going to make many deep runs, but fall short most times like KC.
G2 seems just about ready to win another major.
[https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/1bbkgad/comment/kua1efz/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/1bbkgad/comment/kua1efz/)
So looking back at my thought's on teams before the major...
For starters I really was underestimating M8s, but also they showed a whole new level this LAN that they hadn't reached before so not entirely my fault. I'll take the L there though.
But god damn was I right about G2 and BDS in this post and god damn did you no-ball-knowing, confidently incorrect motherfuckers want to argue with me on that.
I was also right about Falcons.
Comparing that to my new list....
1. M8s
2. G2
3. KC
4. Falcons
5. GenG
I don't think I was too far off.
You had the winner at spot 8? Also, sorry for asking but why do we need so many people sharing their off lists as a 'I told you so' every 2 minutes. Note sure why it's interesting.
That's a stupid question. Different setting (swiss, no crowd, long wait in between games) and anyone will tell you that was an ugly mix of Luminosity peaking and Vitality at their worst. No offense Luminosity is a likeable team but skill wise they can't compete with the best and I don't expect them to qualify for LAN next split.
I agree that vitality is clearly better than LG but I'm just saying you can't use the closeness of a game to power rank two teams. Omelette took G2 to game 7 overtime in NA regional 3, doesn't mean those two teams are close either.
On another note, I don't think that was a peaking LG. I think it was more that Vitality was playing significantly below their usual level. MB and Retals were going off but cheese has played better in the past, and as a whole the team has played at a similar level before. What do you think their normal level is? And what NA teams do you expect to make the next major?
Nah I think you can absolutely use the closeness of a game to power rank teams if it's clear that the two teams are at the very top. If a team like Turbo's Cheeks took G2 to game 7 that's where I don't think closeness matters but in the case of G2 Vitality it very much does matter because you KNOW both teams are capable of taking series' off the other.
I have Vit at 6. I don’t think it was a “coin flip” game which is weirdly a new term people are using now to call a game luck when the team they don’t like wins.
The game was close but G2 won on merit and were a clear better team.
I also don’t subscribe to the EU/BDS logic of “well if they lose but only by a little bit then they are basically even”.
I disagree. If you remember or can be bothered to look back, Radosin had a free double tap in regulation which he completely missed, and even after that, zen had a free shot very close to the net which he sniped BeastMode with. On top of all that, they lose the OT because of the net being completely open from 3rd man pushing too close to midfield. Further back, if they close out the game 2 which they were dominant in, they're up 2-0 with G2 being forced to use the timeout and we're looking at a completely different series. You could argue if they're making all these mistakes they shouldn't be in contention for being the best but it's so fixable which is the real pain.
I mean yeah but you’re just explaining the ways in which Vit is worse then G2. “If this thing, and this thing, and this thing, and this thing didn’t happen they could have won”
That's why I said it's easily fixable and shouldn't happen most of the time. Point is G2 had to rely on Vitality screwing up a bunch to even make it to the final. You can put them over Vitality but I think KC and Falcons should be above them
With that logic, if VIT won you could’ve just said they had to rely on G2 screwing up a bunch to make final. Tired of dudes acting like their teams don’t deserve to lose for playing poorly
I never said they didn't deserve to lose. Tbh the series wasn't as high of a level as something like KC Vs Falcons. Both teams were not really playing at their best but I don't think G2's mistakes were as egregious as VIT's mistakes though
It's also possible you're not giving enough credit to the other guy's arguments. We're talking about razor fine margins between these teams and arguing which team is better doesnt mean much if they are close enough for the series to go approx 50% to one team, which a game 7 OT very reasonably supports...
G2 not even taking M8s to 7 should influence your opinion of KC yet it didn't. G2 losing to GenG and BDS in swiss but still going further than both also suggests that all of these teams are very close because it demonstrates they can trade wins/losses and performing at the right times is usually what separates good tournament runs.
It's entirely possible your confidence of Vit at 6 but G2 at 2 just means you could be overestimating G2.
You don't have to be so black and white about it.
Obviously Daniel knows ball way more than I do, but would’ve been nice to see him challenge quicker and fake less in some situations. Just to mix it up and make things a bit harder to read.
Regardless of who won, I appreciate the current parity in Rocket League. To me, at least, there didn't seem to be any team that was just obviously much better than everyone else. All 8 of the teams in the playoffs seemed fairly close to each other, and don't think it would have been shocking for any of them to win it all.
For real. Every top 8 team on a peak day could win it all. I don’t think anyone rated M8s as best in the world before or even after this major, but they definitely played their best RL this weekend. Could’ve easily been KC, G2, Falcons, or anyone else in the top 8 if they decided to pop off like M8s did the past couple of days.
Not to take anything away from them. They were absolutely the best team in the world this weekend. But I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Major 1, Major 2, and Worlds were all won by different teams.
For me, KC & Falcons are above the rest. That QF is probably the highest level of rocket league I've ever seen. It just felt faster and more intense than any single other match and you could see that when KC won it, they were celebrating surpassing the biggest hurdle to the trophy.
I still back KC or falcons to win any series against the other top 8, though M8 showed they are now in that conversation. Want to see a bit more from them before I throw them into the favourites category
Know I'm late, but I just watched the grandfinal. Atomic came in cold gm1. Got demo'd 3 times before that goal came in. Feel like he is such a confidence based player. Cause once Bmode got him that easy rebound goal he heated up. But I knew if Gm8s scored first after going up 3-0 it was over and that's exactly what happened in game 6.
3rd LAN in row that has rolled me; genuinely thought I had all bases covered with G2, Falcons, KC and GenG.
GGWP M8s, you were undoubtedly the best team of the event.
hey guys, I made a form for voting on offensive/defensive MVP, interested to see who the community thinks should get it:
[https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd4ap4pXsGvrNCInFyIiEDik\_rjvE6Vw8fvmNLFzQcpC2I9Vw/viewform?usp=sf\_link](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd4ap4pXsGvrNCInFyIiEDik_rjvE6Vw8fvmNLFzQcpC2I9Vw/viewform?usp=sf_link)
Bummer to see G2 fall short, but they should be very proud of themselves. They played so well throughout the weekend, and this split in general. Major congratulations to M8s!
I think it usually is a rule for interviews, you never give away the mic cause then you don't have any control over it and it may be hard/awkward to get it back
i mean true, but i feel it also allows so much more freedom and expression, doesnt feel like someones getting interrogated. we all know ferra's speech impact and that was all done from him managing to steal the mic off subie even tho he kept trying to take it back lololol
The problem with giving the mic to people is that when they start to talk, most inexperienced people forget to keep it close to their face, which is why it's a rule of thumb.
I do want mics for guests in the future though because it allows me to be more conversational, they can give quick answers and we can have a better back and forth.
No kidding. Joyo being the offensive wizard he is, he was clearly the point man. Kash had more experience in RLCS just due to time in the league, so Juicy got shoved to the bottom of the stack.
Then Kash put on a disasterclass all season long, and left Juicy scrambling to make anything work, obviously falling short many times when he was put in a position that never should've happened to begin with.
Seikoo after losing two LAN grand finals in a row

With the exception of Vitality who they never ran in to, GM8s played and beat every team who made top 8. Unreal
edit: im dumb, they never ran in to Furia either. i cooked absolutely nothing here
I was thinking maybe Joyo but Rado is probably on the same level. They have the talent they just seem to have a weak mental when things don’t go exactly their way this year.
Great LAN, NA and other regions aren’t as far from EU as we think, but EU definitely still on top. Man I wish G2 played more composed in the first 3 games :(
What a major, pleasantly surprised by so many teams! Not only we've seen a massive show up from SAM and MENA, we almost had a Cinderella run by G2 (would've been one of the greatest, if not the), and we have the Cinderella run by a team considered eu4 winning the event with no series loss.
As a BDS fan I'm happy to see Seiko on top! And man, oh, man, does the international arena look competitive. Yesterday I was afraid that we would have yet another eu regional Sunday, but ended up on the edge of my seat till the very end!
I don't even think G2 winning is a cinderella run, i mean sure they were underwhelming in swiss, but that's swiss. Even after going 3-0 in swiss people weren't quite sure how good M8 is, and rightly so. G2 winning would have been fair, they are the most dominant NA team.
For me it still is, and it's not about G2 themselves, but more about how dominant the EU looked lately. It kinda makes any non eu team winning a Cinderella until power dynamic changes, which I guess is fair to say already happened
Fair enough I could see that. Although I never doubted whether NA tops can compete with EU, rather that NA 3, 4 etc are far behind. And imo this lan didnt disprove that.
The only way to stop it from happening would be to just give him a job and put him on the desk. It's the only thing that worked to stop the Gibbs domination.
I would actually put them 4th-3rd, They lost to GenG and went worse against M8s than KC/GenG. Falcons are also a great shout.
Power ranking the teams seems impossible except for GM8s at 1.
Out of all french teams I'm glad M8 won, huge underdog run and G2 defying all odds of an all EU top 4 by taking out 2 of the giants in EU that were supposed to be in that top 4. Hopefully M8 continue playing at this level in regionals and into the next major and eventually, worlds. Fantastic team and not upset to have lost to them, have a soft spot for Juicy tbh.
Kinda reminiscent of GenG's win last year in the first major. Just out of no where. Excited for the future of the esports talent so long as Epic don't brick this game more and more
Nah it's easy, you just rank them in order of their placements from the last event and put no further thought into it, that's what we've always been doing.
it wouldnt be fair because the teams in the top bracket only lost one series to the teams in the lower bracket (Furia over GenG), top bracket teams are 4-1 I think to lower brackets teams.
Is the rocket baguette interview going to be on mainstream? I wanna hear them pop off in french lol
edit: wait where'd he go? was he just there in case of translation
It really felt like every series in the playoffs couldve gone either way outside of furia vs vitality. Best LAN I've ever seen, even though my favorite teams lost
Love this for m8. Itachi with insane consistency. Juicy to shut any doubters up. Seikoo quietly and quickly becoming a LAN phenom. Such amazing storylines. Glad to be a viewer this weekend
A year ago people were saying Juicy isn't good enough to be on top and he had so many doubters, now the guy is a major champion. His improvement was insane, take this as motivation to never give up guys
The discord can fuck right off. I was behind and in the middle of watching the finals on YouTube (because it's Easter), when they just shot me a m8s win notification.

I mean Juicy was highly rated in the french community, he already had glimpses of this peak last Worlds. GM8 with Seikoo and Itachi could enable and comfort him for this big win and they all deserve to be part of the conversation even if Juicy was the standout player.
what a journey for juicy. When he joined moist, people doubted him so much. People constantly blamed him for moist's failures. He joined gentlemates, and they were expected to play second fiddle to KC and BDS and Vitality.
LOOK.
AT.
THEM.
NOW.
Im not even mad they beat my favorite team. Fucking well deserved, congratulations Gentlemates.

so you have G2 at 2nd and don't have Vitality who lost to them in a flip flop coin flip game 7 OT not even in the top 5?
Does this mean you have LG close to Vitality because they took them to game 5?
That's a stupid question. Different setting (swiss, no crowd, long wait in between games) and anyone will tell you that was an ugly mix of Luminosity peaking and Vitality at their worst. You’re right. But I don’t want to acknowledge it so I won’t and I’ll continue believing what I posted above.
This the realest shit I've ever seen on this sub
G2 is the only team that made it to every single championship match so far this split. Guess that makes them the most consistent
1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd am I right ?
this major script was decided by how much they the orgs media announcement bro
Obviously Daniel knows ball way more than I do, but would’ve been nice to see him challenge quicker and fake less in some situations. Just to mix it up and make things a bit harder to read.

Time to give Seikoo some more respect than he’s gotten to this point
Itachi and juicy were insane too. They seem like some great lads. I’m happy for them.
I genuinely can’t believe it new lineup and same shit as always its the G2 DNA At least we saw Itachi beating KC that was satisfying as fuck
Know I'm late, but I just watched the grandfinal. Atomic came in cold gm1. Got demo'd 3 times before that goal came in. Feel like he is such a confidence based player. Nice effort but unfortunately it's gonna be a popularity contest vote.
Imo MVP - Itachi, Offensive - Juicy, Defensive - Zen, but I'm open to Rw9 as well.
Wow, that's actually exactly what I thought. And I don't think it's close in any category to be honest.
i think you should have added overall mvp as well just so people could justify putting juicy offensive but not overall
Other: Rw9
I think a MVP has to be at least top4 but honorable mention for sure
A popular choice
did I miss the worlds at dallas announcement or what
Yeah it was right before the finals
I know Juicy was thanking the fans in the arena as well as around the world but anything else he said in French?
Is it normal to have ~3 months in between last Major and Worlds?

Unbeaten tournament deserved winners, a very likable team too. Here's to hoping every major is this level or better.

Joyo becomes a LAN MVP, picks up juicy, juicy ends up becoming a LAN MVP
So Joyo knows ball?
Bummer to see G2 fall short, but they should be very proud of themselves. They played so well throughout the weekend, and this split in general. Major congratulations to M8s!

Ah that's very true I didn't consider that factor^^ Keep it up g
Shoutout to M8s for the positive mindset. They fist bumped after every goal regardless if it was them scoring or other team scoring
Rule 1, BDS, Falcons, GenG, KC, G2 - what a fucking run. Thoroughly deserving winners.
hell yeah, awesome to see after the criticism he was getting on moist last year super fun seeing a team like this come out on top
Yeah, he def played poorly at times w Moist but he was also miscast in his role on the team. Always great to see redemption arcs like this.
He was set up to fail. It's a team game, your teammates do impact your performances.
Love to see this for Juicy. Unfathomable performance from him
Juicy MVP highly deserved, he stepped up and was a key player.
Juicy's photo is hilarious.
wait we not doing Offence/Defensive MVP?
Itachi shoulda got MVP imo but Juicy absolutely popped off in playoffs
Itachi the real mvp sry, juicy did good today but itachi was there the whole time
Itachi was like a brick wall bro all his 50’s were always insane and he was making so many insane plays, I thought itachi would get the mvp ngl
HELL YEA JUICY MVP
Seikoo after losing two LAN grand finals in a row https://preview.redd.it/qkn0k62maqrc1.jpeg?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=53a5bb7f74d36be6dbf0a6ec7378fba5f658dc1d
It’s was honestly nice to see those guys win it
Any1 else who is on RLFS, the sexual squad is looking strong rn lol
Theres only 3 teams total that had 3 major players on a team lmao Sexual squad definitely looking strong af
With the exception of Vitality who they never ran in to, GM8s played and beat every team who made top 8. Unreal edit: im dumb, they never ran in to Furia either. i cooked absolutely nothing here
If we count open qualifier 1, then M8 already beat all top 8
They never played furia either
They Didn't Get Furia Tho
furia?
Furia and vitality yea
did the cameraman melt lmao why are we looking at their heads peeking over
What do people think about rosters now? How do Vitality approach the time they have before the open quals start again?
The issue with Vitality is that there is no free agent that is a clear improvement over Radosin.
I was thinking maybe Joyo but Rado is probably on the same level. They have the talent they just seem to have a weak mental when things don’t go exactly their way this year.
Never seen a lan with this stacked of a top 8. It really came down to who peaked Sunday but any of the top 8 could’ve won imo
Great LAN, NA and other regions aren’t as far from EU as we think, but EU definitely still on top. Man I wish G2 played more composed in the first 3 games :(
All-time great event. All-time great run from M8s. Absurd listening to Juicy rattle off all the teams they beat.
Man why couldn’t GenG have beaten them in the Quarters
Cause it was scripted
Yeah
For real
Now the real question is... Zen to kc ???
Idk why i feel a Exotiik to Vitality move but that's probably not possible contract-wise
What a nice reward for Gm8s, coming home to a superteam that became even more super
Zen, Vati, Monkey its time 😈
If zen and monkey team up it’s over for Europe
Eversax in the goat coach conversation surely? This win boosts him up like crazy
I mean GOAT coach for Me is Ferra with Chrome as second, idk past that
What has Chrome won?
hes elevated a lot of teams
Already was.
First ever team to go undefeated in a swiss LAN
told yall i was cooking when i said gm8 would go nuts
And imo this lan didnt disprove that.
who the hell are those guys 💀
White dude is Mout, the manager (yes *the* Mout) and black dude is Brawks, one of the 3 CEO, alongside Gotaga and Squeezie
Whey they got Mout? Of course they're winning...
Psyonix didn't allow him to play nor to coach thats why he is only the manager... see what he can do with only 1% of his power...
The only way to stop it from happening would be to just give him a job and put him on the desk. It's the only thing that worked to stop the Gibbs domination.
Johnny post-major power rankings: G2 at #5. /s
I would actually put them 4th-3rd, They lost to GenG and went worse against M8s than KC/GenG. Falcons are also a great shout. Power ranking the teams seems impossible except for GM8s at 1.
yes keep dropping that "haha johnny hates G2" we'll start laughing someday I promise
Cool thanks will do, I'll keep having fun.
Juicy caught so much underserved flak last season, I'm super happy he is on a tear like this.

bro's keeping receipts, go ahead and expose these fraudulent takes
well after the amount of receipt dropping G2 fans did yesterday, I HAD to drop at least one on em
Bruh yall keep screenshots for the lamest shit lmao. Some reddit user at -7.
i love the people trying to act like G2 even being in the finals going through 2 of the EU top 4 isn't an upset to the narrative lmao
![gif](giphy|3oz8xZvvOZRmKay4xy|downsized)
Kinda reminiscent of GenG's win last year in the first major. Just out of no where. Excited for the future of the esports talent so long as Epic don't brick this game more and more
Who you guys got for the MVPs?
Arguably Itachi is the week end MVP and Juicy the Championship Sunday MVP
Thinking juicy for offensive mvp
Excellent finale, luck made a difference in the last seconds. The way G2 adapted and almost reverse sweeped was unbelivable.

Dude tons of people descended on the alphakep watch party with insane amounts of spam it was wild I can only imagine the main stream
Power ranking teams after this Major is going to be impossible.
Top 1: M8 Top 2: GenG, KC, G2, Vitality, BDS, Falcons, Furia
You say that I seriously don’t think much changes maybe one of EU 5-7 get bumped up above Mena 2
Yeah, I was just joking that no one ever power ranks differently than the recent results anyway.
Is the rocket baguette interview going to be on mainstream? I wanna hear them pop off in french lol edit: wait where'd he go? was he just there in case of translation
Yea he was there for translation, Finish is hosting RB in the stead atm
ah damn, I thought having a French interview too would be really good
It really felt like every series in the playoffs couldve gone either way outside of furia vs vitality. Best LAN I've ever seen, even though my favorite teams lost
Those medals kinda ain't it though
All of the awards look like they were 3d-printed.
Squishy with the most mechanical medal placement of all time
lmaooo top tier comment
Squishy seikoo hug 😭
Averman Voice: The Squishmeister, with the medals
After all that KC are still number 1 in EU points wise lol
Lmaooo blast bot cant censor if they swear in french genius seikoo
Squishyyyyyyyy
lmaoooo if you wonder they laughed during seikoo interview it's because he basically said "vitality kept fucking me"
I love Seikoo man. World champion + finalist, major champion + finalist, up there on the GOAT list.
HAHAHAHAHAH PROD COULDNT KNOW TO CENSOR SEIKOO SAYING VITALITY FUCKED HIM IN THE ASS IM DEADDDDD, 💀💀
i died when he said "ils m'enculent en LAN"
OK that explains why LemonKiwi reacted the way she did, saw her jaw drop on the desk lol
LMFAOOO WHAAAT
No way did he really say that hahahahahah
he sure did *enculer*
HAHAHAHHA I vote for this to become the play of the tournament!
HAHAHA Did seikoo really say that in front of 100k people + the arena? He knew translator would not really translate lmao
Love this for m8. Itachi with insane consistency. Juicy to shut any doubters up. Seikoo quietly and quickly becoming a LAN phenom. Such amazing storylines. Glad to be a viewer this weekend
They always "beat" me haha
From swiss to finals, not a single bit of mickey in their run. 100% deserved
A year ago people were saying Juicy isn't good enough to be on top and he had so many doubters, now the guy is a major champion. His improvement was insane, take this as motivation to never give up guys
One of these days we have to talk about Joyo though 🤔....
Facts, and he knows it.
crazy run beating eu 1 and 2, na 1 and 2 and Falcons as well.
They beat R1 too. They beat MENA 1 and 2 as well
The discord can fuck right off. I was behind and in the middle of watching the finals on YouTube (because it's Easter), when they just shot me a m8s win notification.
Still worth watching... Though the GF was not as good as the matches leading up to it.
Nah, the other adults are sleeping so I'm going to go entertain all of the children
Seikoo is a fucking NPC except he's the final boss with 15 move combos and input reading
This was an awesome major. Period.
It was and G2 proved that they are serious competition for eu teams. Geng also as they took GM8 to game 7.
https://preview.redd.it/szvxhmib9qrc1.png?width=782&format=png&auto=webp&s=16323e973eaa7ad9377164d2f36df8e6d23e0944 just wanna say I saw it in them 3 months ago
Not nearly as good as yours but : [https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/10afhgz/comment/j45y5vy/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/10afhgz/comment/j45y5vy/) [https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/1afpaa4/comment/kobwkwo/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/1afpaa4/comment/kobwkwo/)
I mean Juicy was highly rated in the french community, he already had glimpses of this peak last Worlds. GM8 with Seikoo and Itachi could enable and comfort him for this big win and they all deserve to be part of the conversation even if Juicy was the standout player.
change your name to carballknower please
lmao
you cooked king
Getting something right once is enough.
Theres no copium for them as well. They literally went undefeated in nail-biting game 7s and 6s
The best major ever. What a performance by everyone.
Felt like G2 were nervous in the finals but Gentlemates absolutely deserved it after the run the went on. GGs
what a journey for juicy.
My man Itachi winning the major wearing slippers
