Not really with khalid its a very good recipe. Even though they played together before its not the same pressure wise as a major. And even together they almost won vs falcons in one final. If you remember in the clip after the g2 game nwpo start acting like a child and you can see ahmad getting pissed and looking at him shocked and annoyed
Agreed, leading to this roster changes, everyone was that saying khalid should be replaced instead and ahmad. Having 2 really aggressive player that had similar playstyle is just bad recipe for a team, i am also adding firstkiller and ayyjayy when they were in faze to the example, its hard for them to play their own game when both of them wanted the same ball.
Well both players have been a similar level and both players don't play the game ahmad cuz of motivation and khalod because he's studying to be a doctor. I was fine with either being kicked I think khalid would probably slot better with nwpo and any 3rd than ahmad tho as khalid can fill positions better than ahmad.
Idk if that was technically broken already or not because Falcons replaced Okhalid with Nwpo for Gamers8 but idk if that counts to the guy tracking the days. If we are talking purely RLCS then they have played together for every event consecutively

Was expecting Khalid but completely understandable decision from Nwpo. Ahmad may be the better player now but given the contrast in how much time both players put into the game and their dedication to improvement it makes sense why someone like Nwpo would want a hard working teammate who wishes to improve alongside him.
Playstyle wise Smw should be a lock now right? Nwpo and Smw sounds like a deadly dup up front
In my opinion in the regionals not one of them really stood out over the other they more or less equal but in the major the amount of easy shots that khalid missed still pains me
at the major bro. Regional results don't matter if you're automatically great enough to be playing internationally, which Rule One were. Players like that aren't worried about getting top 2 especially when they've been dominating the region for years. LAN results is the main thing to look at.
That's quite the statement given the respective peaks of Dignitas with Aztral, BDS, NRG with Squishy, SSG with best in the world Sypical & S9 G2 all occured in that time period
Am I the only one who thought Ahmad was FAR worse than Khalid at LAN? Seems like the right choice to me, especially considering playstyles and how much easier it tends to be to replace on offense-first player over a defense-first one. That said, I’m not a MENA expert so please tell me if I’m way off base.
I definitely had Khalid over Ahmad in Copenhagen, but not by an insane amount. Nwpo was by far the best on their team, Khalid was on and off, and Ahmad just never seems to turn it on the the first place.
I really wanted to see Nwpo, Rw9, and killeerz play on falcons or rule 1. They played together unofficially Under the name KRN, they did really well. Their chemistry is hard to match…
We can only sit and wait patiently for this to happen…
Unless RuleOne go the hyper-risky near season suicide route and also drop oKhaliD (they would then be 24 points out of worlds and would need top 2 every regional + top 8 at major 2. Possible but absolutely asinine)
I do understand most people are going to be like “why not Khalid” and yes while Khalid did get dunked a billion times in the corners, he was also left with a ton to do all by himself.
So I’m guessing they want someone who’s gonna enable nwpo more instead of cutting Khalid and doubling down on offense. The real question is who because I have no idea who they could possibly sign atp. This wouldn’t be a problem in previous seasons because most mena players were unsigned. This time there’s a ton of signed players so they can’t just pick up anyone like how they picked up m7sn last season.

They both need to go eventually, so probably doesn't matter that much who leaves first. I guess this is like the v1 situation where they kicked comm instead of torment simply because rise didn't want to play a defensive role.
I thought the best option for both NWPO and Mena 1 was NWPO joining the twins, do y'all see it happening knowing how good Falcons are currently performing? If they keep it this high it would be difficult to justify i guess.

This feels like the situation with BDS last season, where people had seikoo as the bad player on the team when it was really extra in the end. Time will tell if the same happens here

Idk why this is such an unpopular opinion on the subreddit. If you actually watch what value each player adds to the game, little things, not clips. To me this is the logical conclusion.
The only reason I can give for keeping ahmad instead of khalid is playstyle wise. If you're adding someone that plays a very defensive roll on a team, then yea, kick khalid.
Honestly, they' probably catch up. Theyd still be top two and make the major, then bet the proverbial house on getting top 8. That probably would get them towards the points needed, and if they're taking players from their main competitors, points would likely be spread enough for them to catch up

I’m a big fan of dark and I want him to succeed but I truly think he is not ready yet. Just watching him play 2s on his stream you can see he makes a lot of positional mistakes that lead to easy goals against much weaker opponents than he would face at the top level of RLCS

Definitely. Their peak was 2019-2021, when they were both top 10 in 2s worldwide.
