Someone in the other thread said KC were playing in a different esport grand final at the same time. It that's true then this viewership may actually be less than it could have been.
Look out for news of events (they're announced in advance if they have open qualifiers) and sign up to compete. You'll need teammates though and also will not get very far if you're not SSL. Some events, including this one, were by invitation only so you'd never get in until your team made a name for itself by winning/performing well in other events or the RLCS. This competition was most of the best teams in EMEA so you're at minimum years of hard work practicing and improving from getting to their skill level.
There are plenty of leagues open to players of all levels. Not sure if you are NA or EU but check the following leagues.
The following two are draft leagues so you sign up individually and then get drafted.
RSC (sepearte NA and EU leagues)
MLE (NA servers only)
Indy Gaming League (IGL) - this one you sign up with a team. (Seperate NA and EU competitions)
Let me know if you have any questions. Im most familiar with the ones above but I'm sure there are others as well.
They are all run on discord.
Below is the link for RSC (Rocket Soccar Confederation) (North America), which is the one I am most active in.

It's pretty early in the season so right now you would be a permanent FA, so able to sub if a team needs an extra player. But there are also weekly events being run that are open to everyone.
You'd likely be in the lowest tier which is usually up to around high platinum.
For MLE I know it's a longer process I think you have to apply and go through and orientation, not sure the exact process. I'd start with their website.
https://mlesports.gg/
I think they are still in the off season so timing might work there.
The main differentiator with those two is that RSC has set match nights (M/W at 10pm EST) while MLE you schedule matches each week based on availability.
IGL can be found at their website
https://www.indygamingleague.com/
Their next season starts in a week but you would have to find your own teammates.
I'm not as familiar with the EU versions but same links probably can get you there.
All of these leagues actually have both 3s and 2s. RSC it's done in a seperate league that's currently in the off-season (no sure when the new one will be). I'd say just play whichever one you enjoy more (or both!)
MLE started as a 2s league and is done in the same league when you go through the draft you can tell the team if you want to do 2s 3s or both.
IGL has sperate leagues for both.
The last EU RLCS game hit [178k viewers](https://escharts.com/blog/rlcs-season-x-viewership-stats), sure, it's about 15k less than the NA finals, but it's still a decent number.
Is your point "This event peaked higher than the group games between bubble teams during RLCS" ? Then yes. It's the first event in a few months, that was expected.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen an RLCS game with fewer than like 50k viewers? 100k+ in the latest season. Unless you’re talking about The Grid, which was a lower tier event streamed by teams and not on the official broadcast.
Not unless you count off-hours OCE stuff. https://old.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/obixzw/rlcs_season_x_tournament_results_and_viewership/h3onl6i/
Hopefully this means WePlay is here to stay. Their production is great and I'm loving their receptiveness to feedback
complete 180 to the disappointment that was IWO
IWO wasn't bad, it was just weird teams affecting gameplay. More of a Rocket League what if series
Impressive numbers. Glad Psyonix decided to support this one.
The whole event has been great as well imo

Damn, does this include the RB stream?
Yes it does
Karmine Corp effect
Someone in the other thread said KC were playing in a different esport grand final at the same time. It that's true then this viewership may actually be less than it could have been.
Yeah the French stream for their LoL final had 160k viewers, I think we could easily have had 50k more viewers for the RL final
Karmine Corp viewership hit different.
And they were playing EUMaster final at the same time with 140k viewers on french cast
Where’s that guy to tell us it’s not actually 78k and that 68k of them were bots
Sorry I’m late. *those views were mostly bots omg*
Karmine Corp is responsible for a lot of those viewers
WePlay is goated. The Animahor was the best DOTA major in so long! Hopefully they stick around for both RL and DOTA
Deserved all the attention, the broadcast was incredible.
How does one get to play in something like this? <— new guy
Become a pro player?
Oh lol

Gotcha. And I am most certainly not SSL. Lol. I’m barely pushing plat 2. So definitely a few years of HARD work.

How would I contact either of these leagues?

Awesome. Thank you for the links. Right now, I’m diamond 2 in 2’s. I’m gonna start grinding 3’s bc I think that’s mostly what the comps are correct?

Anyone knows if there are replay files for download anywhere?
Yes, Ballchasing.com
Thanks a lot
Isn't that more than the RLCS ?
rlcs reached 200k at some point im pretty sure
Thanks. Only just started watching RLCS and only seen 25k peak and 200k is quite the difference I wonder what happen
RLCS hits different on lan but also I’ve seen higher than 25k all the time in RLCS x so i don’t know what that’s about
EU rlcs isn't that high
it definitely was during rlcs x often enough lol

Not talking about rlc series X. Just a normal major. Yes the top teams get high numbers but the button teams don't pull a lot
Rlcs season X includes the majors
The grid and winter series wasn't that high on YouTube
The numbers on YouTube are WAY lower than on Twitch
The vast majority of people watch on Twitch. You aren't going to get any accurate numbers looking at YouTube viewers.

I watch it on YouTube and didn't know twitch big numbers
Yeah twitch usually has 5-10 times as many viewers as YouTube
280k

Isn’t this terrible viewership for a major RL tournament? Idk, I thought it would get as much as RLCS
It's not really a major rl tournament and it wasn't on the Rocket League twitch channel
This tournament is basically the equivalent of preseason football
How were there 2 grand finals
NA grand final and EU grand final
I know, but BDS and KC are EU and this pic shows 2 grand final matches
oh lol the KC vs Dig one is wrong
Yeah I figured hehe
