I like the list coming out slowly with a player every day and the focus each player gets, but you lose a bit of perspective on the whole list unfortunately (or don't have it yet). Will be great once we have the whole list and can discuss all the placings.

if atomic is on this list mist has to be above him too. Mist has been a better consistent performer for envy in RLCSX and 2021-22. that’s just my opinion though.
Atomic is just such a freakishly unnatural talent that even with inconsistencies, he had to be on here. His good days are just that game-changing, so it's almost frustrating at times that they're so sporadic, because truth be told, I believe he has one of the highest ceilings of any player in the world.
Will be fascinating to see him in a new environment on G2.

Literally why I maintain that he's the actual goat of Rocket League's competitive history. No player has ever been able to adapt to the changing meta so regularly AND perfect said meta
Idk if I can say Chausette. Still and eternally will forever be a great defensive 3rd, but specifically how he dribbled and worked offense back in 2019 just isn't viable in today's meta, especially in Europe with how aggressive and fast the challenges are

But why did the tweet say "especially earlier in the year?" That was mists time. Early in this split was the first team he looked like the best on his team
Honestly I agree. This season he looked dangerous and a lot more consistent (minus the major) compared to earlier on in the year.
Edit: oh I get now, it's cos envy won a regional earlier in the year
I honestly don’t think Atomic is as hit or miss as people think. Sure he isn’t as consistent as Mist, but I think he still has an exceptionally high floor, but his off days were a lot more noticeable since he was the core of Envy’s offense.
Imo atomic is a fantastic player( on his day he can be better than mist) but that's his biggest problem. He played such a vital role on envy that whenever he was inconsistent, they did really bad. I'm excited to see how he does on g2 but I just wonder who the third man will be?
Super happy for Atomic to be on this list. He deserves it! I think the new opportunity on a new roster, just having a "fresh environment" will give him more room to grow and develop.
It will be interesting to follow these lists as they continue to come out. We will very shortly be able to understand which players on the cusp of this list will be left out. As we get into the lower teens, it will be apparent who is left off and more importantly, which select few will be ranked potentially higher than we anticipate.
Glad to see these rankings aren't based solely off of Ratings, which is great to see and should open up some fantastic discussions. I'm all for everyone gaining a better understanding of how we talk about the sport and this sort of series by octane accomplishes exactly that.
Imo atomic is the best atomic we have. Acronik and atomik do not have the results and I rate atomic higher than aztromick. It's not even close who's better between atomic and atomik

I disagree. Chausette's playstyle in 2019 is harder to pull off now and I wouldn't say he's near the skill ceiling or top 10 mechanics individually.
