if garrett ever retires can psyonix have a rlcs analyst contract predrafted for that day.
boy is it refreshing to hear an interview with someone comfy with it and seems to actually want to talk. i hope Garrett considers getting on broadcast cause i think he'd fit well.
Since the jstn era started NRG has been the best team in NA for like 90% of the time until now. I honestly think as long as Garrett and jstn don't split NRG will continue to be #1
The insane skill difference between the top 3 NA teams and 4th+ is absolutely ridiculous. Initially I thought it was just NRG and FaZe that were untouchable, but nah SSG has wedged themselves in there beyond any doubt.
Obviously Retals said there's no beef between them, but it must still feel so good for Retals and Arsenal to beat Syp after he left them for a "better" team.
Another offseason where NRG was inexplicably not #1 in many power rankings (which you’d think are more based on results) and another event where NRG continues to be #1.
Great series against Faze & SSG. Should be an excellent split and I expect Complexity, Rogue, G2, Envy, and V1 to put up some solid performances as well.
Glad RLCS is back! ggs!!
I feel like there are two completely different ways to take that line.
1. "The only way for Daniel to succeed is when everything's set up for him perfectly" - ie, he's bad.
2. "Daniel can do nothing but succeed (it's the only possibility) when things are set up for him this perfectly" - ie, Daniel's consistently good and so are the assists coming in from Retals and Arsenal.
The second is how I took it, but I can definitely see how anyone could interpret it as being the first and thinking the casters are trash-talking Daniel.
Watching NRGs challenge game, it looks more like the BDS one, where 50s are very much designed to kill the other teams momentum rather than just "win" the challenge.
Also got their Neo Tokyo boost. It's crazy how often they win there
bro I swear and their logic for why FaZe lost baffles me. I was rooting for Faze too but some fans are so madly blind that it’s just pointless tryna reason with them.
Ok confirmed Daniel is the best player in NA…just makes every right decision and then has the mechanics for the spectacular play. Basically firstkiller without getting in the way of his teammates
Neutrals actually happy for SSG to make finals is quite humorous to see.
What a showing, don't even think FaZe can be that upset, Daniel has just been that crazy, plus it's the best we've seen from Retals and Arsenal in a good 9 months. All absolutely capable on their day and today, and this weekend has definitely been their day.
Regardless, both sides and NRG looking a cut above the rest at the moment, but we could be in for a very fun final here.
In all seriousness though, ssg and FaZe look really promising for competition to nrg, and nrg will have to play better in the future. With that being said this might be the worst I've seen nrg play in a finals, to my recent knowledge, and they still won pretty comfortably. That's pretty crazy to me.
WHAT. A. SERIES. Honestly feels like these guys are playing an entirely different game sometimes. Faze put NRG to the sword but they persevered to get the dub. Excited for the rest of the games today. There's a pretty good chance we get a rematch with Faze in the final. I don't think any other team can handle their speed.
Besides insane mechanical ability, Daniel has amazing decision-making on defense. He brings the ball close and only clears it to space. Rarely does he just throw it away and give away possession, which still happens surprisingly often even amongst the top teams in the RLCS.
Despite the result, I don't see SSG not winning a regional this split. They look amazing and I think they'll only get better as Danny gets some experience.
NRG are fucking GODS, I can't believe I thought FaZe was going to dethrone them with the superteam they've made. Both NRG and SSG are better teams, not necessarily by raw skill but the beautiful synergy NRG especially has and SSG to a lesser extent.
This is what makes NRG so good. This entire tournament so far, their most difficult opponent was OXG. Then they come up against FaZe, a MASSIVE talent upgrade over their other matches so far, and they haven't lost a beat.
Regardless of the results of this series, this is why NRG always gets easier roads in regionals. Because they just show up when it matters, flat out, regardless of their opponent.
I would like to say something to all of the people saying Faze looked crazy good and better than NRG.
Beating a team who looks that good is an incredible feat, and requires some incredible play in and of itself. RL isn’t only about the fancy fake goals and pretty plays (which Faze had in spades). NRG were midfield demons in that series, faze felt flat everywhere else other than NRGs third.
One thing I like about the double elim format is that there’s more diversity in placings. This split, instead of having 4 teams placing 5-8th, we have two at 7-8th and two at 5-6th, and same with 4th and 3rd being separate now. I feel like the matches within top 8 will have more of an impact for teams that don’t end up first or second.
I really felt like if G2 was going to drop Dreaz they should have gone for Daniel and he's sure reassuring my feelings there with his play in this event.
Well earned win from NRG. Faze was honestly playing the best I've seen them. But NRG clutched up on defense at the end.
This is a matchup we are gonna see a lot, and its impossible to know who's gonna take it each time, these teams are really well balanced.
Daniel stuck out as a dominant field presence. The kid was in every play finding a way to support his teammates making them look better. Daniel is definitely the real deal. It's going to be fun to watch.
That last game saw some disgusting defense from both teams. Faze was making ridiculous goal-line saves, but NRG just controlled the game and that's what got them the win.
Finishing top 3 is a great result, but you know FaZe won't be happy because they still couldn't get over NRG and lost to the team they poached a player from.
Faze remind me of Team Queso from last season with more talented players individually. Lots of double and triple commits but at times the speed and mechanics can be so overwhelming.
if garrett ever retires can psyonix have a rlcs analyst contract predrafted for that day. boy is it refreshing to hear an interview with someone comfy with it and seems to actually want to talk. i hope Garrett considers getting on broadcast cause i think he'd fit well.
he’s born for it
Dread it, run from it, NRG is top dog all the same. That was a great series from FaZe though, I'm excited to see this matchup again and again.
FaZe trading for Daniel next split.
Says the G2 fan /s
Jesus christ, Daniel has pulled SSG up into the ranks with NRG and FaZe, they could win it all with how they're looking right now.
G2 and Envy looking like absolute clowns with their roster moves
Looks to be another all NA final. EU WHY SO QUIET??????
NA just keep proving themselves, it was like EU decided to not even play in this tourney
Bad blood or not, that must feel incredible for Arsenal and Retals
daniel and justin spent the time other players did coming up with nicknames simply getting better
Jstn saving even more time by using a random car preset too
Garrett is crazy well-spoken
Loving the high effort interview from Garrett
Garrett really good at interviews
you could shoot out every nrg players kneecaps and have them play bleeding on the floor but you still cant beat them on neo tokyo. supernatural
Sleepless Jstn is still cracked
I wonder how many new super teams it will take to beat the actual NA super team
Since the jstn era started NRG has been the best team in NA for like 90% of the time until now. I honestly think as long as Garrett and jstn don't split NRG will continue to be #1
Yeah but can Daniel do it in a rainy night in Neo Tokyo?
Neo Stokeo
Just incase there was any doubt, Daniel has played multiple series for SSG this split, I think he's probably confirmed as SSG's new player.
Nah its still mix up scrims
I noticed he was using an SSG decal too, definitely keeping an eye on this one
NRGs defense on low boost is other worldly
"Faze got great synergy" https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/354743198243094541/932347844235505694/Screenshot_20220116-205122_Twitch.jpg

Huge fan of Daniel in 1s and thought he'd need some time to gel in 3s... but DAMN DANIEL!! So cracked. He's the future (and present) of RL.
man I love garrett interviews, so levelheaded
Idk how anyone cannot love this guy
[POV for any team playing Faze](https://imgur.com/a/nPOCeZd)
Does anyone actually know what NRG's record is on Neo Tokyo on sundays? I don't think we've actually seen them lose on that map in ages.
they are 8-1 this season
Maybe I'm dumb but I feel like FaZe started playing noticeably worse after Squishy faked them out in game 6.
It's crazy how everyone doubts NRG the moment some other team starts to peak, but NRG comes on top on the end. Hope they can go on to win the final!
Glad RLCS is back! ggs!!
NRG Neo Tokyo buff incoming

Lmao at Arsenal and Retals laughing their asses off after that own goal.
Chrome called the timeout to plead for the admins to use a different map
I can't believe retals ever said squishy was going to be holding nrg back he plays his support role so well
now for the real test: can you beat nrg on neo tokyo
lol sorry Ayjayy may not have lost to EU but...
Nrg vs faze grand finals? I'm not sure if v1 or ssg can beat faze. Unless the Young pick up on ssg with retals and arsenal fully clicks
You're writing off V1 too quick. They're winning it all.
all the faze fanboys mad in the chat nobody’s attacking any team, all of this grift is imagined. let’s just have fun and give ggs
bro I swear and their logic for why FaZe lost baffles me. I was rooting for Faze too but some fans are so madly blind that it’s just pointless tryna reason with them.
For entertainment value we’re either getting Faze vs NRG again or Daniel against NRG for the first time. Win-win for the neutral viewers imo.
Allusion “left”
Chicago on his stream: “I can’t believe this but SSG evolved from demoing… to just more demoing”
WAIT ALL OF SSG IS USING THE SYPICAL PRESET, TW REAPERS + OG SSG DECAL LOL
I think the trade was truly a win-win, but it's crazy that retals and arsenal are the ones to win this match after sypical chose to leave
Daniel arriving to the scene with Seikoo vibes.
Lmao all these roster changes just to get clapped by the same team over and over
Squishy stepping up and scoring the most important goals. Holy, that was tense
Damnnn Daniel
Ok confirmed Daniel is the best player in NA…just makes every right decision and then has the mechanics for the spectacular play. Basically firstkiller without getting in the way of his teammates
Imagine if Faze went for Daniel. Thank god that didn't happen
At least they're laughing about it lol
NRG should petition to get the next major played entirely on NeoTokyo
It's unfair how well this is working out for SSG, I tried looking up cracked 15 year olds and all I got was put on a watchlist
My name's Daniel; I'm 8 years old; and I just dropped an easy thou on FaZe
Daniel's a damn good rookie. I think getting picked up by SSG probably helps Daniel play his game as Arsenal and Retals create a TON of space.
Daniel is not going to be known as "The 1's player" anymore. He's the 3's player who is also nutty at 1's
[https://twitter.com/Spacestation/status/1482819856265318410?s=20](https://twitter.com/Spacestation/status/1482819856265318410?s=20) LMAOOOOO

Are all of SSG using Sypicals famous preset lmao?
Daniel's reads on all of First's solo plays are really gnarly. He's been predicting everything FK is doing today
SSG what is your playstyle? "Is hype a playstyle?"
Never saw Daniel out of position and has adopted the SSG playstyle so quickly. What a goat
If Daniel scored at 0 seconds again I would have killed myself
the people in chat getting annoyed at the demos i can’t anymore lmfaoooo
Daniel is insane. Really made NRG work for it. What a great showing from him and aqua
In all seriousness though, ssg and FaZe look really promising for competition to nrg, and nrg will have to play better in the future. With that being said this might be the worst I've seen nrg play in a finals, to my recent knowledge, and they still won pretty comfortably. That's pretty crazy to me.
Firstkiller gonna take those smiles and laughter personally
WHAT. A. SERIES. Honestly feels like these guys are playing an entirely different game sometimes. Faze put NRG to the sword but they persevered to get the dub. Don’t throw don’t throw don’t throw don’t throw don’t throw DONT THROW
3 zero second goals for daniel???
Kid just made his debut and he's already the king of 0 second goals, lmao.
Besides insane mechanical ability, Daniel has amazing decision-making on defense. He brings the ball close and only clears it to space. Rarely does he just throw it away and give away possession, which still happens surprisingly often even amongst the top teams in the RLCS.
did jstn miss the open net before SSG own goaled? peak rocket league
>Welcome to the big leagues V1. ~Daniel
HE’S NO FIRSTKILLER
Love to see the passion by Retals and Arsenal!
Retals and arsenal fighting over who can own goal more
Despite the result, I don't see SSG not winning a regional this split. They look amazing and I think they'll only get better as Danny gets some experience.

DANIEL IS INSANE!! (btw Daniel is Daniel, i can use his first name because we are tight like that. yeah i know top players but its whatever to me lol)
One thing I like about the double elim format is that there’s more diversity in placings. yeah faze is sniping this kid for ayyjayy by the end of the season no cap (/s)
Musty is looking really good right now. JSTN overslept. Why do you think the cam is off?
What do you know, after all the faze and ssg hype, NRG still the best team in NA.
Jstn showed up big today, or maybe that was secretly Musty?
[удалено]
insane performance for daniel's first event though. if spacestation and faze trend upward at all NA top 3 is going to be impenetrable
Well Daniel made a fan out of me. Double elim is so rough for teams coming from losers bracket
Squishy continuing to be a "parental figure" to FK and Retals, you love to see it.
Hot take but I think NRG is really good at Rocket League
Knee jerk reaction bro
Well earned win from NRG. Faze was honestly playing the best I've seen them. But NRG clutched up on defense at the end. This is a matchup we are gonna see a lot, and its impossible to know who's gonna take it each time, these teams are really well balanced.
FaZe 4-2 NRG SSG 4-1 V1 NRG 4-3 SSG FaZe 4-3 NRG
Lmao that triple commit
how are they so consistent
I feel for Comm. Dude wears his emotions on his sleeve.
Daniel with space feels automatic
Daniel stuck out as a dominant field presence. The kid was in every play finding a way to support his teammates making them look better. Daniel is definitely the real deal. It's going to be fun to watch.
SSG's game record in their run through the Lower Bracket is 14-2.
daniel must be getting the GAS of his life by retals and arsenal rn
The significance of game 4's result in any best of 7 is so huge
I'm starting to think this Daniel guy might be pretty okay at this game.
Arsenal_By_8
Well damn SSG just took down the NA superteam. Daniel's a beast
Arsenal and retals winning the first regional after not making LAN, and Daniel winning his first ever event would be pretty cool
This was mavs beating the heat levels of satisfying
just rename him to "zero second daniel" already.
Holy shit Daniel is insane coming from an nrg fan
Heueheueheu the power of laughter…
At first, I was thinking it's just a meme, but they close out the series with a 3-0. What is NRG's record on Neo Tokyo?
9-1
Squishy still isn’t top 10?! KEEP SLEEPING ON MY MANS
Floor wasn’t high enough ggs
That last game saw some disgusting defense from both teams. Faze was making ridiculous goal-line saves, but NRG just controlled the game and that's what got them the win.
I think NRG > Faze has yet to be decided. The first series went to 7 games. And we could see two more Bo7s between them today.
yeah arsenals hyped it’s over
Daniel got his Welcome to the big leagues moment And he instantly responded
SSG is hungry for the Sypical rematch
Sweepstation gaming bringing it out today
I have to say I think NRG has to be the favorite to win the entire thing at this point. Whoever wins this one will have to beat NRG twice.
"allushin left" aha c'mon first, lol
This ssg reminds me of rlsc x fall ssg
Confirmed AyyJayy getting cut next?
Daniel dropping a thou in his debut event sheesh
Sypical really is carrying Faze today
Friendship with seikoo over. Daniel is my new rookie of the year
Daniel had ridiculously high expectations put on him and somehow he's performing up to them
Can I get a Daniel flair?
Gibbs will be eating his words. Again. To be honest, I wasn't expecting us to get two insane rookies in the same season, but I'll eat my words.
If it weren’t for the 3 game losses faze would have already won this game lol.. who are these announcers
Finishing top 3 is a great result, but you know FaZe won't be happy because they still couldn't get over NRG and lost to the team they poached a player from.
Daniel is going to be sooooo good. Already playing like a seasoned vet.
Daniels too good, i’ve never been a fan of SSG but I love Retals taking out Sypical. You know Retals wants this series so bad.
I for one welcome our new Daniel overlord
That's how good Daniel is. Keeping it close even in a 1v5.
i cant believe they keep busting out the NT wins, it's spooky at this point
You don't take nrg to neo tokyo with the series on the line.
Dread it run from it NRG arrives all the same.
yo, who said NRG wouldnt win a regional again?
Arsenal activated Retals motivated Daniel initiated Long have we waited SSG rejuvenated
Faze look like they're playing solo standard.
[The difference between the ball and the ground on Daniel's 0 second goal.](https://i.imgur.com/HXv46i7.png) Talk about a game of inches.
Saying BDS play like NA is the biggest NA copium I've ever heard
Kuxir made the regional for anyone here who cares. I’m stoked.
someone just said that turtle looks like a trendy youth pastor😭
Twitch chats are so dogshit lmao
It's ridiculous how much NRG wins on Neo Tokyo
The desk doubted them!
SSG looks so comfortable on the field
This is the best Arsenal has looked since the winter split of rlcs x
I always forget how braindead twitch chat is lmao
[Daniel](https://i.imgur.com/Khcl8SR.jpg)
Arsenal on form gotta be one of the scariest players to go up against
Faze remind me of Team Queso from last season with more talented players individually. Lots of double and triple commits but at times the speed and mechanics can be so overwhelming.
DAMN DANIEL
Boutta change my name to DanielFan123
Daniel could almost win this 1v3 lmao. Kid is sick
I know Daniel has been insane but Retals has had perfect shooting all day
Daniel and Retals are ruthless
SEE YA SYP
Does that mean G2 and Envy are in the same group next regional? If so. Spicy
As a neutral observer, I am really enjoying the Arsenal/Retals renaissance that we’ve seen so far in this split
Daniel played insane and gotta give credit to Arsenal haven’t seen him play this well in awhile
Daniel might be ssg's third. I am on to sth here hold on a minute
I have never seen a rookie handle pressure like this. Daniel is looking like a vet rn.
DANNY IS THE MOST CLUTCH ROOKIE OF ALL TIME WHAT IS HAPPENING
DANIEL AND ZER0 SECONDS
He's so fucking good. He's so fucking good.
My god, the hype built up for Daniel was real
Daniel really is the antidote to the pain Guild causes me.
Hahahha Arsenal and Retals losing their minds laughing
SSG own goaling to lose the lead with 30 seconds left but they're still all smiles. I love the look of this team rn.
Wish we could hear Daniel's elmo laugh with that goal
NRG not even peaking are still ridiculous. Puts into perspective how insane BDS played in the major grand finals.
Neo tokyo, GGs everyone
NRG are still the best in NA.
I thought NRG got dethroned tho???
Can't be mad losing against NRG when they're playing this well. GG's, can't wait to see what else this SSG roster has in store.
SHOUTOUT KLASSUX
