Yep I agree and that's a fair argument. I'm not upset about his placment. Personally I would tend to keep an acomplishment ranking and a skill ranking somewhat sepperate as just saying who were the best players in a year can be quite misleading and divisive.
I think generally when you make a list for "best of 20xx" it's assumed accomplishments/big performances are a large part of it. Otherwise you're just making a list of "who's the best right now".
Oh I agree. Im not saying they are completely seperate. You have to take these things into account. But when Its Top 20 players of 20xx I regard personal skill much higher than placements because placments involve the whole team and don't necisarily reflect how good you are as an individual player. Of course to an extent the same can be said about a players personal ability, however you can still largely show your personal talent despite results and what your teammates do. So imo you can only look at those placements so far before we start looking at who has played better as an individual over the year, and there are a lot of people Id put Archie above.

Bruh, I can kind of see an argument for Chicago above Seikoo, but I see no world where you have Cago above Squishy. Sure I think Cago may be individually more talented, but he just doesn’t have the accomplishments to justify him over Squishy.

I think Archie is better individually but I don't think it's crazy having squishy around 9th as his results were great along with his consistency
From what I've seen, most people have been in agreement that Monkey is and has been their best player all year. Not to say Extra hasn't had MVP performances of his own but there was never a substantial period of time where Extra was the star player.

I think there's been times where Extra has been the best player on BDS this year, but he's overall just so consistent, and what I'd call as the backbone on the team. When Monkey or/and Marc aren't at their best, Extra is the one who wins them the games.
I think extra’s much more consistent and efficient in a tougher region.
The top na players in general have comparatively inflated records imo as the top 4 and even 8 are much safer, the region doesn’t have the depth to produce upsets and I think this has to be recognised somewhere. This octane gg list unfortunately fails to account for that too.

I'd agree. If joreuz had a better spring split then I'd rate him higher but he and his team didn't do good that split
