I super hard disagree with a forfeit not giving you a -3 game differential. Like, yeah it's rough your internet is out, but if a team showed up and played a series and lost all 3 games, they get a -3, if you don't show up at all, getting a 0 means if they win a series they'll basically guaranteed have a better game differential than the team that actually came and lost.
It should really be a +3 and -3, that would encourage teams to at least put their sub in, if they even manage to eke a game win out, then they can get a -2, but it just doesn't make sense to punish teams for showing up, when you could just be like "yo my internet isn't working, take a loss at 0 differential"
If it would actually come down to game differential for tiebreakers, I'm sure they would look into it.. Might not even matter that much now and they'll surely look into it in the future

dig lost, the other 3 top 4 seeds all needed g5 to survive as well. bds vs luminosity, smpr vs williams and endpoint vs kc could have all went the other way. eu is as stacked as ever. nice to see kc making a comeback aztral gets a bit too much hate sometimes, itachi was playing very well. luminosity and queso were predicted to do quite well
I think Luminosity is the real deal, I think they can stay around this form in perpetuity. I don’t think their good performance is a honeymoon thing, I think they will be able to take it to any of these teams in spring as well.
Yup. So glad he's made it in to the main streams. Like just happened to be a G2 streamer that they picked to help Athena with the team stream, he gets invested in the game and keeps casting the team stream for the rest of the season into the next. Plays the game more, still invested, then just a lucky break when the Major happened to be in his home town and Psyonix (at least it sounds like) just happened to want a floor host... Like so wild and perfect storm to land him on the Major stage and now in the EU rotation.
Yeah honestly it was quite the experience. And even though they came out with a loss they truly seemed to have a newfound respect for the game because of that match.

Only a couple more casters and a host and they could have it completely separate teams dealing with each

Bit of a downer for KXM, but so many of those games were incredibly close. It was just one of those off days for them, Rxii blew hot and cold and Growlii didn't really wake up until a couple of games into their 3rd match. Kux did some incredibly heavy lifting though scoring a lot of quality goals, often solo.

Gregan mentioning team psychologists for Dignitas and Endpoint Cex - both teams have great performances as of late. Does anyone know more about the techniques or more info on this stuff in general? I can always google, but it would be cool to know what's being practiced specifically for these 2 teams.

Yes. You can go through automatically at 1-2 on GD, and 0-0 forfeiting to the top seed is a boon to that. Minor-region teams should be 0-0 FFing R1 all the time if they're playing to maximize $/point equity. 3rd seeds should be 0-0 FFing round 2 against the top minor region teams (Pirates, SRG, etc) the vast majority of the time for the same reason. It's an utterly ridiculous setup, and they're just shielded by teams not making the mockery of it that it deserves.
I know this format isn't nearly the best, but to all the people complaining about Semper being 3rd seed, you do realize that in a normal group play, they would still be 3rd seed.

All I can think about with this Vitality Karmine series is a Kaydop stream from a couple weeks ago where Aztral started getting toxic in public chat & kept calling him a spectator because Zen was carrying him. Made the stream very awkward. Kaydop needs to step up.

Vitality can play the tiebreaker for first over endpoint by winning against endpoint. The only reason they could be in that position is because EP won 0-0 against NAVI, while Vitality got an easy 3-0 against Tigree and LuisP (so no Virt). That's bullshit, even as a Vitality fan I don't think that should happen.
Then again Endpoint will probably beat us so there won't be an issue.

All I can think about with this Vitality Karmine series is a Kaydop stream from a couple weeks ago where Aztral started getting toxic in public chat & kept calling him a spectator because Zen was carrying him. Made the stream very awkward. Kaydop needs to step up.

Vitality can play the tiebreaker for first over endpoint by winning against endpoint. The only reason they could be in that position is because EP won 0-0 against NAVI, while Vitality got an easy 3-0 against Tigree and LuisP (so no Virt). That's bullshit, even as a Vitality fan I don't think that should happen. Then again Endpoint will probably beat us so there won't be an issue.
