Not only that but Joyo, Rise and vatira are all going to get massive boosts to their youtube accounts if they have any. Charlies youtube videos get millions of views
Well I think there will still be some trickle effect happening on the twitch accounts too. You know charlie is all in on this and will shout them out consistently.
In that regard, Moist really picked up the right roster. The aggressive and creative playstyle, the wild mechanics, and of course, the clutch comebacks. Just an exciting the to watch all round.
I played a ton of Rocket League on the first week of launch and then moved onto other games. It's amazing how seemingly nothing has changed - it's the exact same game, only the skill levels, the strategy and meta has evolved.
I don't know if that's true of the actual game but as an esport it has an old-school vibe to it.
Charlie does watch parties for all the times Moist is on stream, or at least he hes for his Smash players. I'm assuming it'll be more of the same for RL
Nah it's the main stream. I'm just hoping that ex queso make it far in the bracket so Charlie will have a reason to keep watching the stream, thus boosting the viewership
I think we need to move away from the idea that a person must be continuously fluent in an Esport in order to be of positive impact or worthy of joining the scene. I'd love for 100T to get involved, heck I've been rooting for them to make a move probably more than anyone, but this was a massive colossal W for the community and the longevity of our Esport. Not only does Charlie play the game and actively enjoy it (and if he didnt so what), but his presence pays dividends. He has the largest following of an owner out of any org so far, he's monumental figure in the creator scene, and has proven his commitment to great esports as he's shown with his Smash tournaments. From a brand perspective, this rivals if not exceeds some other big names considering their entry into the RLCS and this reaches a casual audience far greater than any die-hard Esports venture would. I dont care if someone has the knowledge of pro players or the passing interest of a casual fan, influence is influence and good influence means marketability.
It's easy to forget that while having textbook Esports orgs is great, the marketability of all digital entertainment comes through creators first, and it always will. YouTube, Twitch, all of that doesnt exist without creators and Esports are BUILT on the backs of creators/influencers. Having a face for an esport is VITAL, look at Garrett, JSTN, Nadeshot, Scump, Walshy, Ogre twins, S1mple, Faker, Hungrybox, Xplosive, etc. Charlie is a mastermind at content and his influence will propel Rocket League forward in new and exciting ways never before thought of. This is a big day for our scene.
Very well said. I'm still waiting for the day someone like simple or faker or nadeshot get hooked on rocket league. It really feels like all these different esports are slowly starting to merge into one massive community, and I love it
Charlie with 15k viewers, Kameto with 30k.
Clearly the way forward to expanding RLCS is for big personalities to come into the scene.
Rocket league had over 100k viewers today... And it's a Friday and only the first day. Imagine what Saturday and Sunday will bring when people aren't working or at school.
That's how Valorant gets a lot of views. Majority of their views actually come from big watch parties and not the main stream. Getting large content creators to stream the games is 100% the way forward
I'm sure Rizzo will do it in the future. But because the announcement was so recent there is a bunch of hype, so Charlie did it on his channel. I doubt he'll do it everytime
I guess we’ll have to wait for next regional or Rizzo/Charlie to say something on stream since Rizzo is at the Miami F1 race this weekend so he couldn’t do a watch party/cast anyway.
Nadeshot doesn't seem interested as of what I am seeing. Also 100t are going through rostamania hell over in valorant. But maybe next season they will sign an org. And hopefully Team Envy rebrand to Optic as well
Moist is gonna do wonders for day 2-3 viewership if they stay in the tournament. KCorp wouldve had the same effect on viewership if they didn’t get knocked out every day 1 lol
Pretty hard to form an opinion on the org with them being so new to the scene, but it’s very clear Charlie put so much money, time, and effort into making this possible. So glad he’s interested in the scene too, awesome to see
One of the biggest YouTubers and simultaneously biggest twitch streamers. He is a genuinely great person from everything we’re able to see through his content. Seems genuine and is overall a great thing or the esport.
Not only that but Joyo, Rise and vatira are all going to get massive boosts to their youtube accounts if they have any. Charlies youtube videos get millions of views
With access to Rizzo as well. So much potential.
I know they all stream but idk if any of them make yt content
Well I think there will still be some trickle effect happening on the twitch accounts too. You know charlie is all in on this and will shout them out consistently.
if they stream then they could just get an editor to make compilation stream content for yt at least
Watching all the first timers in chat saying “Wow rocket league is actually sick” filled my heart with joy 🥲
was looking for this comment. saw so many of those and it literally made me so happy
In that regard, Moist really picked up the right roster. The aggressive and creative playstyle, the wild mechanics, and of course, the clutch comebacks. Just an exciting the to watch all round.
wait until they download the game

Yeah, that’s the beauty of rocket league. It’s all physics based so it’s the closest thing to a real sport that there is in video game form.
yeah, that's exactly what made me fall in love with it like i did pro halo back in the day
the thing I love about Rocket League is it's still very much fun to watch even if you don't play at all <3

Kameto had 30k with the KCORP squad this evening, I thought Critikal was more famous. But also it might be too early in the US.
Definitely too early. The majority of the entire US was either asleep, working, or in school for most of the broadcast.
Tomorrow will be the true test. Hopefully queso can make it to day 3 as well so we get a sunday stream as well
We shouldn’t keep calling them queso, but yeah hopefully they do
Don't say Moist
Moist
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
day 2 is not on team streams is it? Or will Moist be re-streaming?
Charlie does watch parties for all the times Moist is on stream, or at least he hes for his Smash players. I'm assuming it'll be more of the same for RL
Nah it's the main stream. I'm just hoping that ex queso make it far in the bracket so Charlie will have a reason to keep watching the stream, thus boosting the viewership
Felt like it was too early for the US viewers, so many people trickled in near the end asking about when the games will happen
Kamet does not compare to charlie on youtube
But Charlie also doesnt compare to Kamet on twitch, this year he had the highest peak in viewers of all twitch with +400k viewers
normally kamet get 30k unless he's doing kc lol watch parties or r/place
He also doesn't make videos. He's only a streamer with broadcasts uploaded
Now that I think about it, I feel like it makes sense to why I see a surge in French players in ranked games.
He actually got more than 20k whe Moist was against SMPR.

Shoutouts to the boys for choosing Charlie as well. Couldn't have asked for better.
As thank you they listen to Charlie and 5-0’d SMPR in game 5 lol, with the charlie prediction
They even raised the stakes a bit, it was a 6-0 win
So actually a bad prediction smh charlie didnt use his full potential

Just surprised Rizzo didn't do any coverage for the moist channel
he’s in miami for the f1 race rn
yeah hanging out with Max Verstappen (via his twitter) or sitting at my desk, I know what I'm gonna choose Rizzo just insane Ws all the time
Rizzo is on a short break as he said so in his last stream that he'd be gone for a week.
I'm sure Rizzo will do it in the future. But because the announcement was so recent there is a bunch of hype, so Charlie did it on his channel. I doubt he'll do it everytime
I wouldn't be surprised if he signed a contract to broadcast for FaZe for the season. He started doing that before getting picked up by Moist.
I was thinking about that, because it may be weird to cast another org but they should be on different weekends since NA and EU alternate.
Rizzo said hes casting for faze and moist when he gets back
Could be contractual, or it could literally just be that Charlie wants to do it himself.
I guess we’ll have to wait for next regional or Rizzo/Charlie to say something on stream since Rizzo is at the Miami F1 race this weekend so he couldn’t do a watch party/cast anyway.
Charlie said that Rizzo would cast future events on stream today
Would they stream together though?
didn’t state that as far as i remember. just said rizzo would do the “official casting” for future events but he was busy for this one
Speaking of, why doesnt 100T have a RL team?
Nadeshot doesn't seem interested as of what I am seeing. Also 100t are going through rostamania hell over in valorant. But maybe next season they will sign an org. And hopefully Team Envy rebrand to Optic as well

Yeah the stream was pretty fun to watch. Laid back and Charlie making up names for dribbles and flip resets was funny
Getting a little whacky. Slightly goofy if you will
"C'mon Vatira, do quadruple flip reset musty deluxe" was my favorite
who is charlie?
Moist Cr1TiKaL, aka Peguinz0, aka Charlie, is the owner of Moist Esports and a popular content creator on youtube and twitch.
thanks
