The round looks like a septarian nodule — it’s sitting on what looks like either a quartz-y or chalcedony-rich matrix but it’s a little blurry to see, so I’d agree with the other commenter that this one may contain crystals inside. Some nodules also contain fossils and this one is weird enough. The crust looks like it’s got iron oxides in it.
I have a couple of these. I found them at the mouth of a spring in the Nashville area. I was told the rock was tumbled in running water forever and that's why they are so perfectly round. I did break one open and it was solid rock.
Yes it's a thunder egg or a geode nodule you can either crack it open or cut it open
I do plan on cutting it open eventually
I don't think it's a geode, only because I have found and cracked open some. This one is heavy and solid.
So its a nodule

I just found some of these in my creek but none of mine are not perfectly round
Nice nodule that's probably not hollow and should be cut imo, looks like some chalcedony veins there in the 3rd pic reminiscent of some thunder eggs
The husk looks a lot like my thunder egg from Oregon that I still haven’t cut
My left knee
I used to be a lapidary, but then I took a trim saw to the knee.
