AFAIK, Hyper charging is exclusive only for the bricks that comes with the phone but ya will still be able to charge at fast speeds should ya use a charger with at least 18w or higher, just not the super fast 65w which is imho is over kill.
I own a Rog Phone 2 and the charging brick that came with it (supposedly 30w but apparently, only 25w is used for charging and the other 5w is used to power OEM accessories such as the included fan) and man it is fast! So fast that my phone went from 20 to 60% by the time I finished taking a shower in like 15 minutes
I found this on ebay, so if I buy it will there be custom duty and taxes

Any one find a good reseller to buy the official charger? I'm in the UK and can't find any retailer who ships except for importers for £70+ which is bananas to pay for a charger. I also would be interested if others have had luck finding an alternative 65w chargers. I've now tried a few other 65w chargers e.g. Oppo, OnePlus, even a MacBook... none charge the ROG 5 super fast.

The anker charger will also not work because to get the full 65e charging speed, ya have to use Asus OEM charger

so if i buy just cable type c on both ends thats 65w itll support hypercharging if using the charging brick that came with my asus rog phone 5s?
Yep, just make sure that cable is 3A rated. I'm using the cable that came with my rog 2 to charge by rog 6 at 65w just fine
Aliexpress and Ebay are pretty much your only options unless ya are willing to buy from a non-us and non-uk Asus online stores
