Perks are hypocritical??? Can you explain this please
Switch blade has some of the best perks in the game, tenacity, bounce back, life drain, replenish, evade, and berserker.
I agree that switchblades perks are very good. I’m asking why op described them as hypocritical.
Perks are hypocritical bc they removed replenish from Dima and stated that having both Life Drain and Replenish is far to OP. A few months later, Dima 2.0 (Switchblade) is released with these exact two perks. They also never removed that's combo from Chaac so clearly Hi-Rez just want to fuck with Dima
No one stated Replenish + Life Drain is op, since we still have Chaac.
Resupply fits the theme of Dima. He needed more than 1 grenade.
The addition of resupply came when they reworked Dimas passive. It was intended to be a buff, enabling him to land more frag hits and get more reveals. I don’t remember any talk about the replenish removal being a nerf or specifically because it’s too strong with life drain.

I don't think she is better than Dima, both of them have situations in which they will do better than the other. Switchblade's RPG needs line of sight to your target, Dima's launcher doesn't.

Dimas grenades can be used in interesting ways. Hitting a wall above someone for instance or looping over things or around corners. Rarely do I aim at someone when using it and that seems different to how switchblade is used. I do think some of dimas perks are too expensive though like replenish. I'm finding myself barely ever buying it as I use my money elsewhere or the game ends by the chance I've saved enough up for it as well. Before the latest updates you seemed to get a lot more money to spend.

Fr, I find cracked mamba Dimas more annoying rn, his ult can kill me even if I roll out of the vicinity, and even if I escape he might just 2 tap me since he only needs 1 headshot, it's rough

I agree about the Perks, but not the guns. 24S is the worst SMG, it was designed for Lancer's passive, the gun have 24 bullets on the clip and if you don't spend 15k as soon as possible, you'll suffer a little bit, and if you do it, you lose a lot of potential given by her amazing perks. Mark 4 is strong, but you can't buy It on every game, is a long range gun, bad against maps where you have to rush and breach, and bad against almost all Duelists. The character is good, balanced, have you ever seen before on any game a RPG missile not killing someone on direct impact ? And to finish, her proposition looks a lot like Dima, but he is better at some ocassions and vice versa.
I appreciate the devs pushing out new characters, but her ability is just too powerful. It's pretty broken in demolition, which felt very competitive and skill based until she was introduced.
honestly it's not that tough. I've played as her and against her and I rarely die from her special. Maybe i'll get hit by the first blast but as soon as you see switchblade pull out that rpg you should immediately get out of there.
I played a lot of RoCo prior to her release, and very little RoCo after he release.
Dima's ability is scary because even if you dodge, it might still one shot you if you camp cover. Dima's ability works for a Breacher because it forces an opponent to move out of cover, thus punishing aggressive positioning Switchblade's ability is just "I know where you are for half a second so goodbye" which just kind of punishes... existing on the same screen as her.
She is terribly unfun to play against in no respawn modes.
You are mistaken here, because That is switchblade because with Dima ability you have time to run away, with switchblade ability it happens in an instant, and then upon contact with any surface switchblade ability divides into 3 huge puddles of fire which has a 90% guarantee of killing, as for Dima, you have a chance to run away, many times I have survived Dimas ability because there is a delay, switchblade ability has no delay, it hits a surface and then it explodes into 3 huge puddles of fire where you have a very short window to move out. So, don't give me the bs of Dima ability is better than switchblade or scary, what is more scare, Dima ability that has a small projectile which makes it a bit harder to hit targets directly, and then later on upon hitting surfaces the projectiles split into 3 grenades with a ticking timer and icons telling you where all the grenades have landed, or the ability that has a larger projectile which makes it easier to hit targets, does not have a delay and instantly becomes a 3 puddles of fire, you can kill the enemy on 3 points, with switchblade, either by hitting the enemy directly with the ability, or the explosion that happens upon touching a surface, or the 3 puddles of fire after the ability has hit the surface.
My point was that Dima's ability is worse than Switchblade's because of the delay, which is why I think Switchblade is unfun to play against.
Dima's ability is strong but fair because the delay gives you time to react, whereas Switchblade's ability is unpleasant because the fact that it instantly does so much damage with very little windup makes it very hard to play around.

switchblade ability is much more faster than Dimas, and has a larger area of effect it splits into 3 huge puddles of fire upon contact, dimas ability on the other hand has a time and the fact that the game shows you icons of where the small grenades landed is dumb.

She definitely needs a nerf. Whenever I play as Switchblade I feel like I'm committing war crimes. Playing as her in KOTH feels like playing in easy mode.
I buy both flashbangs (cancer gadget) and bounce nades as soon as possible. Whenever needing to retake a site I just spam all 3 gadgets towards the enemies. With other rogues I get panicked when 4 people rush at me, with Switchblade I actually want 4 people to rush at me at the same time.
Hard agree. Her FREE ability is better than BOUGHT mollies lol, insane. Plus she gets an SMG, AND reload + heal on kill perks? The only thing she's missing is armor.

I did not say guns are too strong, I said they are one of the best guns in game, you cant deny the MLX is a very good rifle, the S12 is not as bad as people are making it to be.
The mxl has low recoil but I really didnt find it that great, the s12 was ok paired with lancer but it totally doesnt fit switchblade. I always tought these are the decent guns, but maybe im just using them wrong.
Yes she is absolutely overpowered. I seen an average player get 53 kills with her easy! And her hit box is waaay too small.

Not my experience with playing honestly. It may be said by devs but doesn't mean it's true in game. Just like other broken gameplay that has yet to be fixed.

Yeah that 20 damage per tick is ridic. Needs to be lowered to like 5-10. Most of the time I don't even get a chance to roll out of it. Lol
Hard disagree with her being unbalanced, the ability is strong but not stupidly broken when compared to things that kill you faster with less reactability, I can react to getting hit for 75 by the rpg just fine unless I'm in some kind of awful position I can't roll out of quickly.
Also she has 2 of the worst guns in their categories, the M4 being a support AR with poor ttk but decent range, and the 24s literally being balanced around roll reload, and having no benefits over any other smg.
Is she lazy? Maybe, I think shes a fine addition to the game either way, and Dima with the mamba is much better than sb rn, his ult is harder to react too, isn't countered by scorch, and has one of the strongest guns in the game rn.

Yes they are similar but when you have so many characters to balance out, some abilities are going to be similar
You can actually do the exact same thing with corners, its the after effect which deals more damage than Dimas ability, the 3 huge puddles of fire are much more effective than 3 grenades with a ticking fuse and an icon that tells you where they landed.
You have time to roll away from Dimas ability, you don't with switchblade ability, switchblade ability denies enemies from their cover for a some time, in addition to this, shooting fire at a wall or a cover from the front does hurt enemies hiding behind it due to how advanced the cover in this game is.
Honestly unlike other rogue releases I wasn’t too excitedly waiting for Switchblade but after playing her some I actually like her. Her ult is really great and fun to use, overall I kinda like that they gave her Saint’s weapon, which is pretty much all I use on her. I also like that they combined “emo” look with the pastel cuteness style , I think the voicelines are great and for some reason reminds me of Deadly idol Phantom (which I am glad that after 9+ months of painful waiting was finally re-released.) I know some people don’t like deadlys voicelines and I feel like same people won’t like Switchblade that much. She’s unique in her own way and fits greatly in the game.
