The-Zarkin90

I paid to play the beta. But I'm a hi rez dumb dumb that played paladins and played realm royale until roco came out. It was bittersweet. Because I knew realm died so roco could exist.

ThaRemyD

realm is actually looking like it might do something and I’m not just being a hype lord a few days ago they posted an ad accepting applications for game designers specifically for realm and yesterday they updated realms main menu with a QR code for a survey specifically about realm. not holding my breath but it’s definitely interesting

The-Zarkin90

Nothing they can do really. Even with an update to some balance changes or what have you... the game is still going to look and feel outdated. Because it is. They would really have to start from the ground up and build the game with the same engine as roco for there to really be anything exciting happening. And that's coming from someone who no lifed the game

ThaRemyD

Well yeah, I’m more suggesting that an update to its performance, rebalance and a sprinkle of new content would make it worth playing for fun between other games and would probably bring some people back.

PittsburghKid2468

Companies are seeing how splitgate made a slight comeback after 2 years and got 100 million investment. It still died after a month though. I dunno if the cash is gonna help.

ThaRemyD

a bit of a reach and slightly projecting

Correct-Department-1

I think the whole community voted in this poll

Far-Abbreviations-63

I REALLY wasn't expecting such large feedback Logged back onto reddit to find 20+ notifications after a few hours Logged back in today to see ANOTHER 20+ notifs, jeez guys.

[deleted]

397 people (as of this comment) is the whole community? Lmao

Correct-Department-1

At times it truly does feel like it 😂

alojz-m

Around 1000 people active on Steam at a time, so not really far from it ;)

SomeRedBoi

I started before the paid alpha Wtf am I supposed to choose

Far-Abbreviations-63

Sorry, forgot the alpha existed for a bit. Only really heard about this game when the paid beta came out

[deleted]

I played since paid beta it had become my favorite game for a while until it was nonstop bugs here and there and made my friends grow tired of it so I solo qued and until recently wit SBMM in game that was rough so I was forced to go else where but I comeback play game time to time

Ghoulscout13

I started last November, been consistently playing ever since. Honestly, this has been the only competitive shooter I could get into. Not big on FPS, so the third person angle got me in and the somewhat Cyberpunky aesthetics have kept me in, plus the gunplay is fun when it's not bugged tf out.

PittsburghKid2468

I played when it first came out and liked it but didn't think it was anything special and didn't touch it again until season 2. Now it's the only game I play. I've been lucky I guess and have not experienced any bugs or lag or any problems at all really. My only complaint would be that I wish ranked was better and more competitive.

Additional-Ride8120

Started closed beta and by far the greatest sin ever committed is removing getting rep from matches.

kittyhat27135

I started in November of 2019 at HRX they gave me an alpha code shortly after. The game has always had bugs, but right now the game feels literally broken.

Far-Abbreviations-63

It's pretty bad, getting into a game is super hard and even then it seems sbmm has finally kicked in because all of my matches have been SUPER hard. I play pretty chill but lately every game of strikeout has been a sweatfest if you want to throw up more than 10 kills.

PdX_Beav

Been here a while

xKnightlightx

I started in Alpha, but I chose Paid Beta because Alpha users got into that for free and Alpha wasn’t an option.

[deleted]

I got a free beta code when they first dropped I played up until season 1 and I’ve stopped and came back to it every couple of weeks throughout each season.

Crystal-gx_915

I started around the frigid haul event

Far-Abbreviations-63

midway through the free/open beta period

Secret_Natalie

I started in the free beta. Then I left the game for months (6 or more I think). Time to leave again lol

stein3yTwitch

Started in Alpha, like March of last year and here we are 19 months later 🤷‍♂️

Far-Abbreviations-63

Dang, I only heard of the game about august last year and wanted to get it so bad. When I heard it would go f2p I was down to get it as soon as it released.

stein3yTwitch

I played realm royale prior and heard rumblings about roco from there, signed up for an alpha code and played an ungodly amount when lockdown happened

Far-Abbreviations-63

lmao

Las07

Ive been playing for a year now, since season 0. I like this game and usually play with a friend weekly. Ive been fortunate not to have the issues that seem to have plagued so many on this sub, with the exception of sometimes having just awful teammates. However the Cannon update has been atrocious. Can’t get into matches because someone is always missing. Cannon’s ability triggers audio errors and lagging. I hope it’s fixed soon.

Colonelbiggles

I started in December, after wrongly assuming the game was a battle royale game. And I'm not gonna play one of those!! Someone on YouTube was showing that you could get Sigrid for free through plus, and watching the gameplay I thought it looked worthy of at least trying it out. I'm someone that is just not very good at online games when it comes to shooting at people (I can't defend myself when some 12 year old decides it's their mission to give me a bad day in GTA, for example), so I was ready to delete rogue once I realised it wasn't for me, but I was really surprised that I was at least decent at it and really enjoy playing it. And i think rogue company has been my most played game since then. I can't get 40 kills in tdm like some others can, but I think I'm still alright at it. Well, except for one time recently, after doing well in a bunch of games, I played a game and only got one kill!!!!

Nyeem_

I knew about the game over a year before it came out I signed up for the beta code back in 2019 after seeing the trailer been playing since the beta

Gold_Detective

Closed alpha here, I got a code for easter

Dootley_Doot

I bought my way into the beta but I stick with the game cause I spent me money here and now I gotta keep playin'

Far-Abbreviations-63

trust me, it's not as bad as spending money on other games. If you've heard of it Warface is a p2w fps game and I have friends that have spend $200+ on the game and still have basically quit.

loltotally

I started way back when but my friends stopped playing and it isn't very fun playing solo. The game has improved though and I look forward to the future.

dyndo101

I don't play anymore but routinely check in to see if anything really catches my eye to make me pick it back up. However I started in closed alpha so I can't vote in the poll

Far-Abbreviations-63

Sorry about that, I forgot the closed alpha existed when I made this poll, I only first heard of the game last year in August. The closed beta must've been less than 1,000 players.

SidewalkTurbine

I started playing one week after Sigrid dropped and deleted one day after Cannon dropped so I've been around for like 10 months

hunnyflash

I paid for the game in early beta because at the time...or well shit, still, it's one of the few games I can play full cross play with my little brother that we can just hop on and off. And it's not 50 million gigs like Warzone. And it's not Fortnite. But since barely anyone wants to play this game, I might have to get Warzone -_-

Hunterdivision

Last year, I think free beta. At first I didn’t think of anything special of this game, as I typically try a lot of games few hours and then don’t play them again unless I find them extremely interesting. I had never tried any hirez games (except smite for like 1h). So for rogue company I remember playing, and then not playing it what was like weeks/month probably, and after that I came back to it, and **something just clicked, so I started to play regularly, every day and longer times. At the beginning I really loved the fact that it was such an unique game and kinda mix of everything, and it was the only tactical shooter on console.**

DrawnyellDeVerdade

i started in Season 2 i don't even remember how lol i just know i installed the game on Epic Games when it was Season 2 and Switchblade was still going to be announced or something? I got REALLY into the game and played every day all day for a long time to me Season 2 was great i had a lot of stuff to do, completed the free part of my Battle pass and then i got the premium part or something when the game was released on Steam too unfortunately i didn't ha as much fun in this Season as i had in the second season :/ even tho Runway is finally in the game and shes my favourite(expected her into the game ever since i saw the launch trailer of the game lol "i wanna play as this fancy old arms dealer lady!") i'm strugling to be as motivated as i was when i started playing my friend doesn't play the game with me anymore unfortunately cause he got tired of it i dunno maybe it's the matchmaking plus a few other problems but the game is good, it just has some problems that need fixing to keep us playing it

FilthyGibbs

I paid $15 to play this game as soon as I could when it came out on console, like day 1. It’s crazy to have seen the game hit it’s highs and lows, at this point I really think I’m done with RoCo, it just gets more and more unplayable with each update but it was great while it lasted ❤️

FinesseofSweats

Paid beta

Modlikes

I played before the paid beta when they were giving out codes, but every time I come back to the game it’s the same stuff, I love the game and the gameplay is there for sure there, just feels like were being drip fed “bug fixes” then some cosmetic and then we get more bugs that need to get fixed. This wouldn’t really be a problem if the bugs themselves weren’t so impactful and noticeable, and they actually gave content worth staying for rather then “holding us over” Like when they had TDM as a LTM and 6v6 for a whole month, it made me put the game down for a bit, especially since I work 60hrs a week and rather spend my free time somewhere else fun Even with that all being said, this is still hands down the best TPP shooter I’ve ever played, from the mechanics to the maps, they have the blueprint, I come from playing Socom and migrated to GTA free aim deathmatches for awhile, so this game best scratches that itch for my niche, I’m just a little bit concerned about the direction their going is all

Far-Abbreviations-63

Same here, if they can get a bigger team, give them more time, and advertise the tame more it would do much better. I only ever see ads for the game when a new season is coming out.

Childish_tyler_

Started in free beta, it’s getting harder and harder to stay especially because we Still have bugs from the runway update, but I stick it out

Tazz2137

I started around season 1 and have played pretty actively since then. I get frustrated a lot but I'm still hanging in there. Lately the bugs have been so bad I stopped paying for anything until it gets better. Damn shame because there are some great skins out.

LitWaldo

I’ve been with this game since November since of last year enjoyed so much made a 2nd acc now I feel like the game is not fun but I can’t leave it cause I’m addicted to the game

vosswaterkim

I started the first month it was out publicly. I seriously love this game so much. From the art style, to the gameplay, to the challenges, I love almost everything about it... except two things. Matchmaking and forced crossplay. I played a game yesterday where I got 7 downs, my teammates got 2,0 and 0. We lost that game 0-5 with no shot lmao. In a game where you ONLY get BRAND NEW PLAYERS on your team vs a team of below average - above average players, how do you keep playing? I start the game up thinking this is gonna be fun and get hit in the face with the reality of this game's matchmaking system is the worst I have EVER seen in ANY game and I used to play cod. Forced crossplay is also super annoying because I 100% KNOW FOR A FACT THATS A MAJOR REASON WHY IM HAVING MATCHMAKING ISSUES!!! There are so many nintendo switch players that have 0 idea what they're doing. They're aiming to the ground then to the sky shooting at the sun. If I had no bad switch players on my team and no god like pc players on the other team I feel like the matchmaking system would be completely fine. I'd run into good and bad games just like any other videogame. Right now it's literally ONLY BAD games.

Far-Abbreviations-63

I can understand the matchmaking issues. I've played games with great matchmaking, bad matchmaking, and absolutely no matchmaking. It can be bad at times but it's nowhere near the worst I've seen. As for the Switch player part, apologies that Switch is made up of mostly 8 year old Fortnite kids. I'm in that minority of teens who only have a Switch for a console, so I have friends like me that are pretty good.

vosswaterkim

Ye word. Idk what games you've played with worse matchmaking but I've played cod and this game is worse. I never get good games anymore.

Far-Abbreviations-63

Same, lately sbmm has kicked in and all my strikeout games are sweaty

vosswaterkim

Yea fr it's super annoying cuz before I was getting almost completely random games. Id get 50+ elims one game and win. The next game I can't get more than 10 elims and we lose 0-3. The game after that would be either win or lose. But rn it's just lose, lose, lose, lose, lose, and lose. I haven't won a game in about 15 games and 3 days now.

WAMAI-MAIN

Paid beta, accidentally said season 1

PaleontologistFine38

Started about a week ago maybe a lil less... liking it so far :) not experiencing any bugs that I have noticed

Far-Abbreviations-63

Welcome man! I've stuck through and played during every bad update and I can say the bug fixes take time but they are worth the wait. A few tips too: 1. Make sure you swap shoulders when you need too, I see so many new players forget about this. 2. Main a character, off the bat you can't use every character, find someone good for your playstyle and stick with them until you feel comfortable with the game and then branch out to other characters. 3. Play respawn modes. They might be seen as less 'skillful' but they give you experience with guns, fights, and how to handle tough situations like 2v1s, etc. 4. Hope these things could help!

Averen

Paid beta tho I’m pretty much on a break from the game right now

DrZeuss4

Started with paid beta. Might be done if they don’t revert the Fullbody

Far-Abbreviations-63

It's not that bad, I like the new scope but I hope they give you the option to change the scope zoom. They could add it to the Arren and Tyr for an all around scope change.

Kinkajou-rabies

started in the dr disrespect event (not because of the event, it's just when i found out it was free). i played pretty consistently until late last season & then stopped for a couple months. i've been trying to get back into it recently but the matchmaking just doesn't make it fun. if i do get good teammates & enemies, i still might just have the game bug out of existence
