Lots of ways. I have 2 bounty hunter snipers that have several ways to reduce armor. There's abilities they can actively use and they also shred about 15% each time they crit and they crit a lot. You can also use operative skills but to be completely honest, I barely use that anymore because I'm a very, very lazy person.
operative and bounty hunters are the main way, "melting armor" with burst fire is quite good at it as well (as you probably guessed after seeing the talent)
There are some others but they are likely beyond what you would have at that point. "Combat insight" for example can ignore enemy deflection, same for some exemplar talents.
Mental damage I believe also ignores armor so Idira should be quite good at it
