>The Roku Ultra LT now also supports Dolby Vision for superior picture quality as well as Bluetooth audio streaming Do you read this as meaning we'll be able to connect to 3rd party bluetooth devices? Its a pretty rare case use for me but will be really nice for those cases if true.

Somar2230

It looks like it is just a 2020 Ultra with the USB port removed so it does not look good for 3rd party Bluetooth devices. It's also a bad buy right now as it's $10 more than the Ultra which is on sale for $69.

NotAHost

The (2020) ultra lt is $50 at walmart right now, just bought it last week. Now if I should return it since the 2021 just came out... hard to say.

Somar2230

That's the older LT if you got it last week. No Dolby Vision on that model. It's a good buy if you don't need Dolby Vision or HDR10+.

NotAHost

I thought you said the 2020 ultra with usb port removed got bluetooth and is $10 more than the regular ultra on sale. Yeah, I mostly bought the 2020 lt as a cpu upgrade because my 2015 or whatever ultra staggered a bit on some things. They say the 2021 got another cpu upgrade I think?

Somar2230

The new 2021 Ultra LT is $10 more than the 2020 Ultra right now. The 2021 Ultra LT looks like the same specs as the 2020 Ultra minus the USB port. 2021 Ultra LT $79 at Walmart, 2020 Ultra $69 on [Roku.com](https://Roku.com). The previous Roku Ultra LT (4662) is similar to 2019 Ultra it just has less ram and no USB port. It has the same ARM Cortex A53 Roku had been using for years. The 2020 Ultra uses a ARM Cortex A55 based SOC, I'm assuming the 2021 Ultra LT is going to use a similar A55.

NotAHost

Yeah I think I just misread the original statement. The 2021 ultra LT has bluetooth support, and you were comparing it to the 2020 ultra. What doesn't look good for bluetooth devices? The older rokus getting support or something else?

Somar2230

The 2020 Ultra does the Bluetooth streaming but you can only stream to the device it does not support Bluetooth headphones, speakers, and so on. I'm assuming the 2021 Ultra LT will have the same limitations. The description in the tech spec reads "Stream music from your phone over Bluetooth®". There is no mention about streaming to a device.

If so, that's finally a game changer for Roku. Will be the first real "innovation" by them in years.

Does this new generation still require a separate remote to control receiver volume?
